My niece absolutely loves when I read her this book! A cute way to help explain grammar and make reading fun. I'll definitely be getting the others in the series for her!

As a substitute teacher, I LOVE this book. It is easy and fun to read with colorful eye-catching characters. I loved the fact that each noun (person, place, or thing) was assigned a color so when that type of noun was mentioned you knew which noun was being discussed.

I am already excited to order this book for myself and my teacher friends. The littles are going to love it. This would be the perfect book for families to read-aloud together to teach and learn nouns.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher, Capstone Publishing, through NetGalley. Any and all opinions expressed in the above review are entirely my own.

This is a simple, inexpensive picture book introducing children to nouns. They cover different types of nouns (plurals, sets, proper...) as a group of school children visits a museum. Childlike drawings accompany the story.

My rating system:
1 = hated it
2 = it was okay
3 = liked it
4 = really liked it
5 = love it, plan to purchase, and/or would buy it again if it was lost

I read a temporary digital ARC of the book for the purpose of review.

A very useful picture book to teach children what nouns are and how to spot them. This book would be perfect as a teaching tool for school libraries and for use in the classroom. Small children would love all the detail in the pictures and seeing a class of kids visit the museum on a class trip.

This book provides an excellent and entertaining introduction to nouns. Three colorful cartoon characters represent Person, Place and Thing. On a trip to the museum, they teach children about themselves and what they stand for. This book covers what nouns describe, plural nouns, proper nouns, irregular plural nouns and more...all while making the learning fun and providing sufficient repetition to solidify a young student's understanding. A good addition for your grammar shelf.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for making learning colorful and fun. The opinions expressed are my own.

A wonderful little book which has a nice, simple, colour-coded approach to learning/teaching nouns. The concept of individual characters which represent the different types of nouns is easy to understand and follow and it deals with them all together in each scenario which is realistically demonstrates how prevalent they are.

A fun and colorful introduction to nouns. The nouns (person, place, and thing) take a trip to a museum where they introduce what a noun is, how they are used, single and plural nouns, irregular nouns, and even collective nouns. The text is clear and concise, and this book could easily be used in a classroom setting or one on one. A nice solid introduction to a somewhat confusing concept.

The book has an interesting and engaging approach to presenting grammar rules. Three jolly monsters (Person, Place, and Thing) go to a museum. The museum is, of course, full of nouns- statues, visitors, ticket takers and guards. With the help of these cheerful creatures, children are introduced to noun categories, spelling rules, regular and irregular plurals. My favourite section in this book is about collective nouns. I really didn’t know that the collective noun for ladybirds is ‘a loveliness’.
Looking forward to seeing other titles in the series.
