Really enjoyed this book. Great plot and engaging, believe characters. I was drawn right into the story. Would definitely recommend.

Mona Lisas and White Lies almost felt like two books to me.
The first was before Lily and Ryder actually met and got to know one another and the other was after they started to spend time together.

I really enjoyed the first part of the book and couldn’t put it down or wait to find out what would happen next, but once Lily and Ryder got together my interest began to wane.
I’m not sure what it was but I just didn’t feel the chemistry between the two and it left me wanting a bit more.

I will say that I would definitely try reading another book by this author because the writing style was easy to read, funny and had well rounded characters.

I just lost interest in the story as it went along based on the relationship between these two characters.

This was quite a fun read. Enjoyable characters and easy to read.

Can’t wait to read more from this author.

I absolutely adore novels where a 'normal' human being becomes famous, it's my dream to one day become famous for something and show all of the other celebrities how it is done by not letting fame go to my head! This was an uproariously funny novel, and I loved the two leads.

I wanted this story to have more depth. It was just so basic, and it felt like there was nothing to it. I was pretty disappointed because it started off promising.

First, i have to say Ryder Flynn is a fantastic name and seems to have been stolen from the movie Tangled!

Overall, I love books like this! It is a fantastic book to read on a sunny day when you dont have anything else going on. I love the "hidden identity" drama in this book.

In this interesting novel, car mechanic Lily Machara becomes the muse of an upcoming artist named Ryder Flynn following a brief encounter in a hotel lobby. Six years later, Ryder is a famous artist showcasing his beautiful depictions of a mystery woman. Everyone wants to know the identity of the modern Mona Lisa in his paintings.

After Lily sees one of the paintings, Lily and Ryder are drawn together in an intoxicating romance, and the media is determined to reveal the real Lily Machara who has captured the heart of the handsome artist, much to her resistance and trepidation.

Will insecurities, little white lies, and public scrutiny bring this celebrity couple down?

John Herrick writes a fascinating story, the strength of which is in the development of the romantic frisson between Lily and Ryder. Insecure and witty Lily is unaware of her beauty and feels like an outsider in Ryder's world. For his part, Ryder seems a kind and confident man but is it ethical to paint an image of a stranger without their permission? With its engaging blend of straightforwardness and originality, Mona Lisas and Little White Lies is highly entertaining and well written. Both main characters are likeable, though not without their flaws, and I highly recommend it for a light and indulgent read.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel from BooksGoSocial via NetGalley at my request, and this review is my own unbiased opinion.

I haven't finished this book and this says something about the story. I got confused with who or what was going on. It didn't inspire me enough to continue so I may have to start again from the beginning to pick up the threads. .
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Love is patient... this quote defines the whole point of this book. Or I just might be a sucker for happily everafter stories.
Mona Lisas is a modern fairytale for those of us who still believe in love conquers all and 'love will find you when the time is right'.
Meet a talented painter and quirky auto-mechanic. They've met by accident. They've met again. They fell in love. They broke up. They... Well, you will have to read the book. The catch being, they meet and date on canvas before they do it in real life. How they come together... is the whole point of the story.
The language of the book is very easy and flowing. It feels like girlfriends got together and are sharing stories of successful and broken relationships. There is enough glitz and glamour of high end art and descriptions of food, dresses and painting to make you feel like a princes watching from afar.
All in all, I enjoyed the book and read it quickly as I really wanted to know all the mona lisas' secrets.

I was not a fan of this book. I found myself frustrated with Lily the whole book for lying about her job. I know the word "lies" is in the title so we were expecting some lies, but I found the big lie of her occupation to be sexist and frustrating. And then the lie her ex-boyfriend keeps about his sexual orientation -- even though they never come right out and say it -- rubbed me the wrong way. People should be proud of who they are and I just don't feel like that was the message of this book.

Honestly, I was captivated by the cover. For start, I liked the fame theme. The fact is about a painter and his muse and the fame around them it fascinates the reader. Fame can be so complicating, people just want to live their life but what about the housewife that needs to know who that person is dating, I mean that fact is not gonna improve their life. People react differently to fame and in the story we get to see their perspective.
Lily was a fascinating character for me since the beginning. Right away her career, that can be unusual for a woman, shows that woman can have passion for things supposedly are for men. Another thing that captivated me was Lily insecurities, how she clearly demonstrates the unfitting in society as a woman. But when comes to Ryan, I didn’t like that much his personality. He seems a nice guy but at the same time a little trivial, he didn’t think of the consequences of his acts. Apart from the main characters, their friends are okay.
The story was appealing since the beginning, still weird the way Ryan falls for her but interesting for the fact she turns to be his muse.Their romance was something. Nothing too much physical attraction, the feeling of getting to know each other and learn about the small things is engaging and with the different POVs, the reader can see the whole picture.

A quick, fun read. The vulnerability of the characters totally sucked me in and I honestly couldn't put it down. The plot would make a great Hallmark movie.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

I honestly have no idea how I feel about Mona Lisas and Little With Lies. The synopsis intrigued me enough to request it from the website. However, after diving into this book I found that I was quite bored with everything and every one in it.

Speaking of those wonderful characters, we meet Ryder and Lily. No, not Ryder Flynn who would've improved this whole thing. This Ryder is a struggling artist until the day he runs into his muse Lily. Little does she know that they met on her worst day ever. She was super drunk and he had no idea what was going on in her life.. just that after they met his life changed.

After officially meeting one another, Lily doesn't quite tell him the whole truth about her life. Which he does find out towards the end and it kind of ruins things for them. Mostly because they don't trust each other at that moment but they still have those pesky feelings.

The romance between these two were eh to me. Nothing really stuck out to me and again, I was just bored with everything. I did, however, want to see how this book was going to end and it didn't really redeem itself. I wanted to like it, trust me I really did, but it was hard to force myself to read this. I felt like I was skimming through this more than actually paying attention (but it's not true because I sadly read every single page).

Overall, meh.

I enjoyed this book but I felt it was very similar to other novels of the same genre. There was no heartwrenching breakup and then get back together. It was a little too easy. It needed more to the relationship I think.

I received an ARC copy of this book from Netgalley and am very grateful for that. Romance is not really my genre but this has a storyline that is both unusual and works well. The author has kept a small cast of memorable characters and a pacy storyline. There is a certain ingenuousness about the characters that works well. I cant say that it has tipped me into a desire for more romance novels but I did enjoy this working of romantic fiction

So, this story starts off really sweet and likable, then as we get to know Lily it goes downhill. The story had no depth or interesting drama for Lily and Ryder.

Mona Lisa’s and Little White Lies was a quick easy read. This story is a cute romantic comedy however it was very predictable.

Ooo I loved this book! It definitely surprised me for most of it. I was not sure what it would be like but I am so glad I was able to read it!I recommend this one to others! Especially if you like a good story line!

I was pleased overall with John Herrick's light romance. The premise was intriguing. The characters were engaging. The pacing was a little off for me, the first half moved quickly and evenly. The second half, when the characters truly interact and fall in love, moved a bit too slowly for my taste. I think what I really appreciated was the settings, Mr Herrick's eye for detail and clarity of description brought them to life. The dialogue seemed appropriate to the characters and situations. I would read more from the author.
