This book is what I like to call a "palate cleanser." I have been reading a lot and sometimes I have to struggle to get through the ending of a book that I have dedicated 3 or 4 days to reading. When that happens (which isn't too often) I sometimes won't want to read (I get into a book slump/rut) so in order to combat that I look for books that are easy to read, easy to follow and just light. This was that book for me. It would be a great book to take on vacation or on a trip to the beach.

For those who follow me, they know how much I totally love Debbie Mason. Her books always make me feel!

Sometimes I'm happy, other times I want to yell at the characters. But in the end, she always leaves me satisfied. What more could you ask for in an author?

We are heading towards the finish of the Harmony Harbor series. Not to worry the author is good at surprising you with a fun novella story here or there for her series. Plus her new series sounds so good. I can't wait for it.

I've been hoping for Marco's story since we first met him. I wasn't sure what kind of woman could steal his heart but I knew she'd have to be very special to do so. At first, I wasn't sure if Theia was special enough. In the prior book, I didn't trust her very much so I wasn't sure. But as I read Barefoot Beach I saw just how special she was.

I will admit I totally fell in love with her. She is the sweetest woman that could be. And she's perfect for Marco. She's both tough and a marshmallow underneath. I think Marco needs that kind of woman. He needs one that can stand beside him holding strong when times are tough but will also treat those around her nicely.

This turned out to be a very special book. A ton happens and some of it very shocking. Even though each story in this series stands on its own with its own storyline you still had a common thread that ran through each book. Like the prior books, you find out a little more about the common thread but still don't have the full picture. I'm sure we'll get that with the next book. I really can't wait.

I suggest you read this series in order. Each book will work better that way. Plus, you really get to know the main characters that are in most of the books. This is why I love series so much. Reading them is like going home.

Nobody can get under my skin, quite like Debbie Mason. Her appeal is more subtle, but no less powerful. Barefoot Beach takes the long route to a heart. Theia is in need of some tough love, but what she gets is a good does of matchmaking from the town locals. Marco has a plan that could blow up in their faces or run away with their hearts. Mason turns summer lovin' into captivating reading that tempts the body and touches the heart.

It's wedding season at Harmony Harbor, and the natives are set on matching newcomer Theia Lawson with local hunk Marco DiRossi. While Theia is trying to plan her exit from the town, Marco convinces her to "fake date" him for the summer to convince his family he's already fallen in love with her...BECAUSE NOTHING CAN GO WRONG THERE!

Secrets are revealed and Theia and Marco (who are now actually interested in one another) have to find a way to survive this if they want to end up on the path to true love.

Alright you guys. I will be completely honest here. These types of books are NOT my cup of tea. That being said, I had so much FUN with this book. I wanted to be Theia. She was such a hard character to not fall for, despite everything going on around her. She was tough, independent, and she gave Marco a run for his money.

And Marco...dear lord. He was the type of guy every girl dreams of finding. SWOON.

I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone on this one. It was super enjoyable, and I was sad to see it end. It's a perfect summer book, so be sure to pick this up on 06/04 to read at by the pool, at the beach, or waiting on your kid's summer camp activities to end! 💜

Just when you think all the secrets are going to stay secret in Harmony Harbor, The Secret Keeper of Harmony Harbor book rears his head and on top of that, The Widow’s Club is matchmaking again. This time they have their sites on Theia Lawson and Marco DiRossi.. Theia is back in town to help Daniel Gallagher keep his word for her boss, she wants to get in and get out, but sexy firefighter Marco has other thoughts on that. Marco needs a diversion from the matchmakers and he thinks Theia is just the gal to help him. Only things get muddled and the two find they have more sparks that the 4th of July…
Secrets and family conspire with the two to make it a summer of love and romance at the beach.
I loved this story, I think it is my favourite books so far. We have a whole cast of characters and who doesn’t love a mansion haunted by the ghost of the matriarch of the family. Through her great-great-great grandchildren, who are the only ones who can see her, she is the star of the show and keeps the family and friends on their toes and on to the path of happiness..
I can’t wait to see who is next to be matched up in Harmony Harbor…..

Theia is back in Harmony Harbor and her boss is the one that has her stuck there for at least a month. Thanks to some rowdy twins on her flight and a fireman who thinks he saved her she has to wait for her plane to be fixed. What's a girl to do? She can't wait to leave and hates what she has agreed to do for her boss but her past just won't let her go. She feels she must right wrongs and needs the money to accomplish that so she is stuck in a town she doesn't want to be in spying on people that she likes. Meanwhile fire fighter Marco is dealing with his own issues. He has women in his life that think she should be married by now and they are eager to set him up with some new arrivals. He's not ready to get married and knows that his Mrs. Right hasn't come along yet. It doesn't help that the women they are trying to set him up with are sisters and they don't mind fighting over him. Marco decides to ask Theia if she will help him and pretend to be his new girlfriend. She agrees and doesn't see the harm in pretending until things start to feel and seem real. She isn't sure what she wants to do though, she has never been good with relationships and doesn't quite know how to deal with her feelings. When a secret emerges about Theia Marco sees her in a different light and doesn't want anything more to do with her. Theia hurt and confused thinks it's time for her to leave town and try to move on with her life. Follow along as Theia and Marco not only deal with the feelings they have for each other but the secrets that can't remain hidden anymore. Will true love win in the end or are these two destined to be alone forever. I love this series and the wonderful detail the author puts into every word. The characters are fun and easy to get to know, you'll be rooting for love when it comes to each of them. The plot lines are put together in a way that takes you right into the story and doesn't let you out until the end. I can't wait for each new book and always look forward to what she has to offer in her writing!!!

Another phenomenal read from a talented author! With small-town charm, a tight-knit community, an emphasis on family, and the Gallagher family’s ephemeral matriarch and her feline familiar, Simon, it’s the perfect setup for a heartfelt storyline. Add to that drama, danger, surprises, lies and betrayal, and this book kept me glued to its pages from beginning to end.

Barefoot Beach has just the right mix to make it the perfect escape read and the book to pack on your next vacation. Full of poignant emotion, tons of heart and a strong family bond, these characters will easily find a place on your heart, so don’t miss their amazing story!

Wow - a great read! I’ve read all of the Harmony Harbor books, and loved this return to Greystone Manor. While reading the earlier books isn’t essential, it does help give background on the family and the characters. This story had lots of emotion, laughter, suspense, secrets, past hurts and fears, family relationships, and love. I loved Theia and Marco, and found the story engrossing and hard to out down. Well done, Debbie Mason. I look forward to Christmas in Harmony Harbor!

Kindle Copy for Review from NetGalley and Forever Romance.

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Debbie Mason once again give you love among the beach in book eight in the series. A good summertime read that you can read on the beach or anywhere. Kick back and relax as she spins her magic.

Will it be more than a summertime romance between a firefighter and a former Navy pilot? If you are the local matchmakers of Harmony Harbor, you hope so as well as all die hard romantics. It is a sweet and charming book.

It was great to get back to Harmony Harbour and the Gallagher and DiRossi families.

However boooooy these families. I don' know if I could handle them if they were mine with all the secrets and lies and the like.

I really liked Theia - I can't remember if she was in the previous books, however she has been in Harmony Harbor previously, and we do get enough of that back group.

Enter sexy bachelor firefight Marco, and sparks fly - pretty literally. I loved the way they came together, even if they didn't hahah.

I have had a run on darker, crime based books lately, so it was nice to get stuck into a lighter story. Not that everything about Theia and Marco's story was all fluffy

Theia is a strong woman, however she is not afraid to show her weaknesses - even though she hates that she has weaknesses lol.

And Marco is a tough guy with a heart of gold that would do anything for his family.

Something is resolved in this story that has played out throughout the series, so if you haven't read the previous books, you will miss some of the nuances of the character development and storylines.

Gotta give a special high five to Colleen, whom I have adored right through this series.

Barefoot Beach is a lovely comfort read, so why snuggle up under a blanket (or lay on the beach for those in the other hemisphere) and enjoy all the shenanigans of Harmony Harbor.

What a perfect summer time read! This was entertaining enough to keep the pages turning, but also light enough to be able to kick back, relax, and just enjoy a good story. I truly enjoyed watching Theia and Marco's story unfold. Theia was a strong female lead, which I can always appreciate, and it was also nice to see a major hunk like Marco with a soft side. And hello--a man who not only loves to cook, but cooks well? Sign me up! I also really enjoyed all of the antics that go with getting a large family together. It felt realistic and added an extra element of depth to the story so that the whole story didn't just revolve around Marco and Theia.

My only complaint here doesn't even really have to do with the book. I've never read any of the Harmony Harbor books before, and while for the most part, this works fine as a standalone, I still think I would have liked to know more of the family history. Again, this is no fault of the book, just more of an FYI for readers.

All in all, if you're looking for a page-turning read to take to the beach with a set of characters you can't help but grow attached to, I'd highly recommend looking for Barefoot Beach when it releases on June 4th!

I personally love Debbie Mason, so I was excited for Barefoot Beach. I really loved that this involves our main characters, Theia, as a former navy pilot. This is not something I see in most books I read. Normally the male characters are military, so I enjoyed seeing a female in that role. I also loved that Marco was a firefighter!

Debbie Mason just has a way for me to fall into her stories. This is also a fake romance trope, which is something else I just love. So overall, this one was just for me. There were twists and turns along the way to bring something a little different to the story as well.

Overall, I really liked this one.
