Harlequin Dare publishing does know how to give us some smoking hot, flirty, quick, romantic reads. Whether it’s on a warm, sunny beach or curled up on a cold night on your comfy sofa, you’ll likely feel the scorching heat in each book in no time. Make Me Yours by Katee Robert certainly proves that point. Becka and Aaron, the main couple, waste no time doing just that as two lusty strangers who have a one night stand following a mutual friend/family wedding reception.

Unfortunately, the numerous, very lengthy, descriptive steamy scenes kept stepping in and interrupting just when I felt the couple were about to make progress in securing more of an emotional connection. A sure sign is when I found myself completely skimming over the smex to search for the substance of their romantic plot. I knew it was there. I was given hints and small tastes due to their mental monologues and their family background. I just needed to see more of it in action instead of their skin. “Oh, they’re at it again” kept popping into my mind.

Aaron seemed to want that, too. He kept hoping Becka would open up and reveal more of her emotional side to him. He sincerely wanted to get to know his new baby mama, folks. Heck, he seemed disappointed she bolted after their brief, quickie encounter. I felt she kept distracting him by taking her clothes off and avoiding meaningful conversations with him. I was told more than felt why this gal was so skeptical and skittish of pursuing true love. Frankly, I found her mindset annoying and very illogical.

Aaron came across as a wealthy, successful, caring, hardworking, good guy, who was rather on the bossy, takes no excuses side, but truly wanted to give Beck and his baby a good life. He didn’t question for a single second being the baby’s father, btw.

To me this main couple felt like lusty strangers fumbling around in the dark trying to come to terms with this sudden, unexpected detour in their lives. Aaron was able to man up immediately and handle it. Becka, not so much. She held onto the foolish belief happiness was out of her reach due to her family DNA. The whole scenario in general is a rather overused one in this genre. Overall, I didn't particularly think this one stands out of that cookie cutter mold.

So I’d recommend this book mostly to those who are looking for a graphically steamy read with relationship baby mama/daddy drama lurking in the background.

The O’Malley’s series is a different story, my fellow romance book loving friends. I do highly recommend each and every book in that great mafia series, which is written by this same author. Though stand-alones, I suggest you read them in order for full character development.

#1 The Marriage Contract, #2 The Wedding Pact, #3 An Indecent Proposal, #4 Forbidden Promises, #5 Undercover Attraction, and #6 The Bastard’s Bargain.

Title: Make Me Yours, Series: Make Me, Author: Katee Robert, Pages: 158, stand-alone but part of a series, baby mama/daddy drama, no OW/OM, no cheating, no love triangle, lots of VERY graphic steamy scenes.

Book 1 - Make Me Want
Book 2 - Make Me Crave
Book 3 - Make Me Yours

Make Me Yours by Katee Robert is book Three in the Make Me series. This is the story of Aaron Livingston and Becka Baudin. I haven't yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book.
Becka doesn't believe in love and romance but does believe she wants Aaron for one hot night after they meet. Aaron wants Becka from the start and she never left his mind after she left him the morning after their hot encounter. When she contacts him a few months later letting him know that they have something left from that night he quickly goes forward to bring her home. But can the reluctant women start believing in the impossible?
Quick Hot Read!!

This is the third book in this series by this author. This is definitely one hot and steamy read. This is a quick read story but the author packs a lot into the pages. Amazing well written characters with very intense chemistry between them. This book will hook you from the first page, keeping you reading till the very last page. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

Highly recommended quick read

The accidental baby romance trope is one of my all time favorites, and Katee Robert's latest offering fits the bill very well. Make Me Yours is a well-written story with two main characters that are quite remarkable and genuine. This is the third book from the Make Me series and it can be read as a standalone.

Becka Baudin is a fitness guru and she truly enjoys empowering others to become all that they can be. Due to the utter failure of her parents's marriage and the lackluster dating pool, she believes a love connection is not in her future. The night of her sister's wedding, she hooks-up with Aaron Livingston, a gorgeous CEO that has found tremendous success in cyber security. Their one night together is full of passion, lust and fun. A few months later, Becka discovers she is pregnant, which changes both her life and Aaron's forever.

I enjoyed getting to know both Becka and Aaron. They are a hot couple both in and out of the bedroom. Becka's hang-ups about relying on someone other than herself were both interesting and tangible. Aaron's ability to be patient and caring left me swooning. I am hopeful that Aaron's business partner gets his own book because his character is especially captivating. Overall, a solid read.

3.5 stars—MAKE ME YOURS is the third instalment in Katee Robert’s contemporary, adult MAKE ME erotic, romance series. This is tech specialist Aaron LIvingston, and fitness instructor Becka Baudin’s story line. MAKE ME YOURS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Several characters cross-over for familiarity and cohesion.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Aaron and Becka) MAKE ME YOURS follows in the wake of a one-night stand between security specialist Aaron Livingston, and fitness instructor Becka Baudin. Following her sister Lucy’s wedding to Gideon Novak, maid of honour Becka Baudin hooked up with Gideon’s friend Aaron Livingston then ghosted him before breakfast was served. Fast forward twelve weeks wherein Becka announces their one-night stand resulted in an unexpected pregnancy, a pregnancy Becka struggles to accept. What ensues is the building relationship between Becka and Aaron, and the potential fall-out as Becka is unable to let go of preconceived notions, and heart break from the past.

Becka Baudin is a feisty, extremely independent and stubborn female heroine who refuses to accept help when help is both needed or given. Aaron’s attempts to help with Becka’s living situation is met with indignation and insult, something that continues throughout most of their relationship. Becka is always on the offensive, using Aaron’s attempts to help against our story line hero. Aaron Livingston is an alpha male who battles his need to protect and take care of the mother of his child-the woman with whom he will fall in love. A battle of wills, unnecessary confrontation, and the continuous back and forth, yin and yang between our leading couple results in heart break, issues of trust, and a lack of communication.

The relationship between Aaron and Becka is one of immediate attraction; a one-night stand that turns into something more. Becka struggles with her past, and believes she is not worthy of love, and incapable of raising a child; Aaron is over protective, and desperate to look after the woman (and child) who will call to his heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and erotic, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters includes Becka’s sister Lucy and her new husband Gideon (Make Me Want #1), Allie and Roman (Make Me Crave #2), as well as Aaron’s business partner Cameron O’Clery, and Aaron’s sister Trish. Trish and Cameron’s story is next in Make Me Need.

MAKE ME YOURS is a fast paced story of family and friendship; desperation and declaration; heart break and love. The premise is entertaining; the characters are energetic but Becka’s need to remain independent and determined is annoying and affected my overall enjoyment; the romance is spicy and hot.

Becka meets Aaron at her sisters wedding where she's pretending that she believes in love and that weddings don't give her hives since she doesn't believe in fairytales or happily ever afters after watching her parents relationship. Aaron owns his own security business and he's never made time for a serious relationship. Aaron believes in love as his parents are still married but because he works so much he doesn't think he'll ever have a relationship. Becka and Aaron sizzle from the start but are opposites in every way. She's a free spirited fitness instructor and he's a workaholic security expert. They have their one night and Aaron hopes he'll hear from her but Becka is too stubborn even though she wants to see Aaron again. Fast forward several weeks and Becka realizes that Aaron left her with a parting gift so now she has no choice but to reach out to him. Aaron realizes that this is the best thing that could've happened since he hasn't been able to get Becka out of his thoughts since their encounter so he moves her right in with him to help her realize that they're meant to be together. Can Aaron convince Becka to give their relationship a chance and that love really does exist and happily ever after isn't a myth? You really need to read this book and find out what happens with Aaron and Becka. I can definitely say that it's worth going on the journey with them as it's so well written. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. I would definitely recommend this book.

This was such a hot read from the very beginning. Becka and Aaron meet at her sister's wedding and have a one night stand. Or is it a one night stand? The two meet up again and Aaron makes it his mission to win Becka over. The chemistry between these two is so hot and steamy and once Aaron finds out about the secret Becka is keeping from him he will do all that he can to keep her by his side. Becka is one tough cookie though and does not make it easy for Aaron. This is a very well written book as are all of Ms Robort's book and I look forward to more book by her. Loved the wonderful HEA!

A stubborn, strong willed woman and a type A alpha man have a one night stand. She's a trainer and he's a CEO. Nothing in common and yet....everything to gain- starting with their surprise "common" interest.

Make Me Yours is cute and a fight between ones past and their future.

This is the third novella in the Make Me series. I flew through this one. I loved how the main characters were so different from each other, but they fit so well together. Even though there as an unexpected pregnancy, I did like that they took time to get to know each other before going all in. A great addition to the series and another one I would recommend.

Becka’s best friend was Allie and she still had Lucy. Did she mention how much she hated weddings? Than Becka added it wasn’t her fault they gave her hives-even the one they were attending now for her big sister Lucy. becka thought weddings were nothing but false promises of happily-ever-after. They sold a dream most people never actually realized and more than half ended in divorce. Becka knew if she didn’t break the tension soon she was liable to snap at someone and make a butt of herself. Than Becka saw Aaron-she’d never seen a more striking man. Becka thought too bad she’s well acquainted with the down side of romance. Hard to put on rose colored glasses when she’d been up close and personal with everything that can go wrong. Aaron spent the rest of the wedding reception watching Becka. Taking her home was likely a mistake. Angering Gideon wasn’t on his list of things to accomplish especially with Aaron’s business on the verge of expanding. Becka was the kind of woman who saw what she wanted and went after it. No holds barred. She was the kind of woman born to stand in the spotlight. They go up to Aaron’s hotel room and have sex she was going back to his home as he only had one condom with him. Than they found out the condom had broken. But they were both clean and becka was on the pill . Than Becka decided she was going home instead of going to Aaron’s. He said he wanted to see her again, But Becka knew even if things worked out for a while eventually they would explode in her face just like every other relationship she’d been in. Every time she tried to date someone it went up in flames sooner rather than later. Like mother like daughter. Twelve weeks later- Aaron and Cameron’s security business focused on all things tech related. But it took time to figure out what exactly their client needed, and often enough, it wasn’t what the client thought they needed. Than Cameron said” you usually don’t ask me- you just dole out clients.” Aaron knew that was true. He tended to be the client-facing part of the company and chose which ones he passed to Cameron because he wasn’t particularly patient with people he considered too stupid to live. Unfortunately for any prospective business-client relationships Cameron considered ninety percent of the world too stupid to live. Some clients could handle his attitude because he was the best cyberspace expert in the city, some couldn’t. Part of Aaron’s job was figuring that out. Cameron said Aaron was off his game and had been for weeks. Aaron couldn’t seem to scrub Becka from his mind.If he was smart he’d leave what happened between them in that room behind him. But she haunted his dreams. Than Becka called and said she was pregnant. She added she didn’t want anything from him she had just thought he had the right to know. Becka didn’t know how to be a mom . Lucy was the nurturer. The planner. The one who took care of everyone. Becka was too much like their mother: selfish, bitchy, just too much across the board. Aaron came to her apartment and first thing he said was “ You’re not facing this alone.” He told her to pack her things the mother of his future child wasn’t living like this. Aaron demanded she move with him or he would call Lucy, and Allie. Becka called Allie and said you are gonna need help you might as well take it now or she could move in with her and Roman and she knew Lucy and Gideon would offer her a place and she won't bring her mistakes to mess up things for Lucy and Allie. Becka knew she had to go with Aaron.
I loved this book. My heart went out to Becka by how she was treated by her parents. Thank God she had Lucy. I didn’t want to put this down. I felt like I was there with Becka and Aaron and everyone. I loved Becka and Aaron together and how they interacted together. I loved how Aaron stepped up instantly to his role of Becka’s future baby daddy and for Becka. Also how he grew to love their unborn child but also Becka for herself. I felt bad for Becka when they had that fight and he stayed away and all Beckas’ fears came back. Such a good romance with just enough angst. I loved Becka was so worried about Aaron she called Cameron ot make sure he was okay. I loved the fact lucy had stepped into the role of being Becka’s mother. I loved the plot and pace of this book. Another new favorite. I loved the characters and the ins and outs and I highly recommend this.

Omg Aaron is like the perfect baby daddy, totally unexpected and willing to man up asap! I really loved this one. Very hot and it has its cute moments. This is a trope I think I need to read more of. I also have an inkling who the next Katee Dare couple will be and I'm excited.

I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Nothing wrong with the alpha type A guy but he doesn't always have to be rich, right? Maybe a blue collar guy could be fun. Aaron was cool though, big heart and loves his family. Becka loves her fitness career and living independently, trying to leave her childhood behind. Their story takes a turn we all expect and is quite predictable, however I enjoyed the people. The next book is hinted at with his sister helping at the firm and maybe hooking up with his partner. My copy came courtesy of Netgalley.

I love how Katee Robert can make me fall in love with an egotistical alpha male that I should despise. She has a way of drawing you in to the story, and opening up the characters as if you can see their souls. Some of my favorite troupes in one book: billionaire romance, one-night stand and unexpected pregnancy! Make Me Yours will have you laughing and rooting for Becka to keep her independence, while wanting to smack her with a What To Expect book for not opening up more to Aaron, when he clearly just wants to support her. A wonderful story that I definitely stayed up too late to finish!

Not having read the first two books in this series, I wondered if I'd be inundated by backstory, or whether or not I would be able to enjoy this book on its own. I needn't have worried. There is just enough of the other couples to let me know this is part of a series, but the story stands on its own quite well.

A fan of Katee Robert's other works, I really enjoyed getting to know Becka and Aaron. Becka had a very rough childhood, and it shows in a myriad of little ways. Aaron's patience, tenderness, and thoughtfulness is heartwarming to read about. I loved how he didn't give up, understanding instinctively what she needed in order to learn to trust him.

Becka was sometimes I little frustrating, running as often as she stayed. But I could really feel her sadness, and that's one of the marks of good writing for me: being able to share in each character's emotions. She was skittish, and rightfully so. And both of them work so well together, each bringing something to the relationship that balances the other's idiosyncrasies.

Ms. Robert's talent as an author is evident here. Her characters are fun and varied, the dialogue quick and snappy, and her descriptions are wonderfully rich and provocative (especially the steamy bits). I enjoyed the lack of OM/OW drama, and the fact that during their brief separation neither was with other people.

I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series (which was beautifully set-up here, by the way), and I'm also eager to get my hands on the first two books in the series. Highly recommend this book and this author.

This was a sweet, sexy story, and I enjoyed the main characters' connection.

Becka Baudin is a fitness instructor, and has a penchant for blue hair. Her sister (the heroine of book 1), and her best friend (the heroine from book 2) are both blissfully happy in their relationships, and in fact, her sister is getting married. Which is why she finds herself at a stupid wedding. Becka doesn't believe in happily ever after, especially not after her parents' epic failure of a relationship. She has issues with commitment, and trust, and though her sister and BFF have always been there for her, no one else has been. So, when she spies a sexy man across the room at her sister's reception, she decides to forget her problems for the night and indulge. She has no idea how that decision will change her life.

Aaron Livingston owns his own security tech business and hasn't had time for any relationships, not that he necessarily wanted any. Though his parents are still married, and in love, he hasn't ever met anyone he's considered settling down with. His business partner is NOT good with people, so a lot of the face-to-face meetings with clients fall on Aaron, and he works a lot. At a business associate's wedding, he sees a blue-haired beauty, and decides he deserves some fun. So, they agree to their night together, and all goes well, until it doesn't. Twelve weeks later, when he hears from her, only to tell him that she's pregnant, he decides maybe he wants a lot more out of his life after all.

Aaron and Becka had smoking chemistry from the start, but they were very different people, with opposite outlooks on life. Though Becka had been haunting his dreams since their one night, he didn't think he'd hear from her. And Becka was stubborn enough that she likely never would have contacted him if not for the pregnancy, even though she was tempted to, and thought of him often. Aaron had his caveman instincts come out, and basically forced Becka to move in with him, so he could make sure she was taken care of during the pregnancy. Becka can't stand to feel caged, and that's all she feels living at Aaron's place, though it's not small at all.

Aaron has to take things slow, and really make Becka see that he's there for her. He has to work to convince her to trust him, and it becomes even more important to him after he falls in love with her. Becka has to constantly keep herself from running any time Aaron gets too close. She's also basically shoves her head in the sand about her pregnancy, and doesn't want to really talk about it, or make any concrete plans, any time Aaron brings it up. I could see where Becka's fears and issues came from, but there comes a time when you have to grow up and own your own stuff. It took her quite a while to figure out her issues, and meanwhile Aaron was being pretty patient and kind. They both make mistakes along the way and I enjoyed watching them deal with everything together.

I enjoyed this story and I loved seeing them living together, and really getting to know each other throughout. I wish we'd gotten a little more resolution for them a little earlier on so we could enjoy them knowing they're both on the same page for a little longer before the end, but it didn't take away my enjoyment of the overall story. AND I'm really looking forward to Cameron's story next, who is Aaron's grumpy business partner. Looks like the heroine is Aaron's younger sister, so yay for my favorite trope!

This book was so cool. And fun, and sexy, and entertaining. If you've gotten this before the previous two, its a standalone that works very well on its own. You miss nothing by starting with this one first, Ms. Robert is that good.

Aaron and Becka make for an exciting ride in this fire and ice story. Becka is very well written, I love her issues and the way she was developed. It's very real what she goes through. And Aaron, he is just fun :-).

I think you will definitely enjoy their story.

We first meet Becka Baudin at the reception following her sister Leah’s wedding. It quickly becomes apparent that Becka has an extremely cynical view on romance, love, life, and particularly marriage. It’s during this reception that she runs into HIM - the very sexy, pulse poundingly hot Aaron Livingston. She is immediately attracted to Aaron, and instantly decides she wants a one night stand with him. I actually found this reversal of the usual trope - man meets woman, instant lust, wants to go home with her - quite refreshing. Becka is not one for small talk, and is comfortable enough with her sexuality to know she’s going to go home with Aaron, screw his brains out, and never see him again. Aaron is actually the more reluctant one, who doesn’t normally do things like this, and who makes their sexual encounter more than the quickie she’d been looking for.

After that night, Becka never intended to see Aaron again, no matter how unexpected and fantastic their night together actually was. At least, that was the plan. Until the condom broke, and her birth control failed. Twelve weeks later, she contacts Aaron to let him know she’s pregnant, and she has every intention of keeping the baby.

I won’t give away any more of the plot than that. But I will say Becka gave Aaron a real fight. She really is cynical with a capital C. Where he quickly developed feelings for her (and had developed feelings beyond physical attraction from the moment they met), she just wasn’t willing to trust a man. Aaron had a lot of walls to break through before she would believe he really was going to be there - not just for the baby, but for her, too.

Ultimately, this book was a pretty quick read. I did find Becka’s cynicism grating at times. I’m a big believer in basing your opinions of people on their actions rather than their words, and Becka didn’t seem to be able to do that with Aaron because of her own baggage. But Aaron was a strong, capable, determined (did I mention sexy AF?) man, and he wasn’t going anywhere. I enjoyed watching their battle of wills play out.

I think this book is just like any typical book, where a one-night stand turn into a baby fiasco.

I really like Aaron, who deosn't like a good guy right? It is because he made an effort to relief the burden off Becka. He didn't want her to face the pregnancy alone. But Becka, whom had a very bad experience with marriages and commitments, that she tried to push Aaron off somehow.

Thank god, Aaron is not someone who can be push away that easily. He tried to understand her, give her what she wants. I just love these kind of guys. Every time, Becka pulled away from him, I just want to slap her for being ungrateful.

Once she realised her real feelings for him, well, its a happy ending.

I just wished that the author could label whose narration it was in each chapter and sometimes it got jumbled up, that you're not sure whose part it was.

This was a cute, sexy read. I loved Aaron-all alpha male perfection with a dirty mouth, but also super sweet. I liked Becka. Her determination stood out the most. Her inner doubts got a little annoying at times, but she also figured things out quickly. The chemistry between Aaron and Becka was fire and I loved the ending. This book is perfect if you’re looking for a quick, sexy read!

***3 Stars***

Le sigh…

I wanted to love this one, especially because I do love the author’s words, but alas...this one just didn’t get to the love level for me. I liked it. It was a quick, smexy read, but Becka really did me in ~ this isn’t to say Aaron didn’t have his moments, but really Becka did my head in.

Becka. I totally understand that her childhood was way less than stellar, I do, and I want to gut her parents with a spoon for it, but dear lord did she take the whole self fulfilling prophecy to the next level. The continuous projecting of her parents lackluster relationship on both Aaron and herself got real old really fast. Now, Aaron wasn’t a sweet and swoon worthy prince charming the entire time, he did pull the alpha AF high handed thing more than once BUT he did try and temper his need to dig for more than what Becka was willing to give and just go with the flow and I couldn’t help but like him for that.

So with my annoyance with Becka, it’s safe to say that I wasn’t as involved in their budding relationship, there was just so much push/pull and impetuous reactions that it made it hard to really want to see them work it out. But what I will say is that I loved how the whole ‘Surprise. I pregnant with your kid’ thing went. It totally worked for me and is probably why I favor Aaron over Becka in general.

Ugh...I love this author’s words, but this one...this just didn’t hit the spot for me, and Becka is probably going to go down as one of my least favorite heroines of the authors ~ which is sad, but it happens. Even though this was a miss for me, I am intrigued by Cameron so I’m definitely going to give his book a go!
