4 - "You’re stuck with me…" Stars!

The third book in Katee Robert’s Make Me series gives us the ONS/Unplanned Pregnancy trope. I really enjoyed Becka and Aaron’s unplanned pregnancy and the results of their forced proximity because of it.

It’s only one night…

WRONG! and being knocked up by a guy that she knows next to nothing about apart from the fact his is all alpha, and pretty sensational in the sack, brings all of Becka’s less likeable personality traits rushing to the fore. Independent to the nth degree, and still battling with her childhood mommy and daddy issues, this is a woman that pushes back at any perceived offer of assistance or support, judging everything with suspicion and looking for the hidden motive.

"You’re not alone… You’re not facing this by yourself. I’ll be there every step of the way… Never doubt that."

So Aaron has more than his work cut out for him, trying to keep his actions and words in check while they navigate the uncharted waters of pregnancy, all the while very aware that like an unbroken horse, the merest hint of anything that challenges Becka’s mind-set of ‘ignore-it-until-I-have-to-deal-with-it’ is likely to send her running.

"Sometimes you have to be the one to take the lead and fight for what you want.."

As I am sure you can deduce, I didn’t 100% warm to Becka, not enough for it to make me enjoy the story any less, but enough for it to not be a five star read. That-said I haven’t read anything from this author for a while and it reminded me of how much I used to enjoy reading her earlier erotic romance titles that were released under another publisher, so much so, that I am itching to get my hands on the previous two books in this series the leads played secondary roles in Becka and Aaron’s story and I’d like to read of their getting together too.

I absolutely loved this story. The gradual move from hot stranger sex to hot soulmate sex was beautifully handled, and a one night stand baby is one of my favourite tropes. Will definitely look for more titles from this author.

I’ve really enjoyed this entire series and Make Me Yours is no different. Becka and Aaron’s connection is so strong but not even that can break through the walls we sometimes build around ourselves. I quite enjoyed the pacing of the story as well.

Thank you Harlequin and NetGalley for the ARC!

Make Me Yours
Katee Robert

Katee Robert wrote a quaint love story. Our main characters Becka and Aaron, grew up as opposites in home life. Becka is walled up and guarded, cynical about men and relationships. Aaron has his plans for when and how things get done. After meeting during her sisters wedding, they shared a night of bliss. And that bliss turned into a little bundle due in 9 months.

As Becka and Aaron begin to get to know each other, Becka stays her prickly self and holds back. Where Aaron tries to be patient his “plans” aren’t working the way he wants them to go. They have 6 months to figure things out. The ending was wonderful surprise.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Great read it kept me coming back for more, I couldn’t put it down, Aaron and Becka story was electrically Charged and full of passion

A hard 1 star read for me because: Becka was terrible to Aaron the entire time and I don't see how that's love. 98% of the interactions they had was her yelling at him, and when he asks her to marry him she yells at him again and wants to leave, but is suddenly mad when he leaves. Whatever, hypocrite.

Let me tell you, the beginning where Aaron and Becka meet at her sisters wedding was so electrically charged, I got really excited to read their story. I find it kind of rare for a book to really grab me right at the start like that. I can also say that it stayed pretty strong throughout the book. I love it when I can feel how a couple just want each other.

In my eyes, Aaron was pretty perfect. He's got an alpha personality but also a bit of nerdiness in him. He's very analytical and a planner. I just seem to love that combination in a man. He was also all in from the start.

Becka was a much harder character for me. She has a lot of personal baggage that made her confrontational with Aaron when he just wanted to take care of her. It's a good and bad thing. I wanted her to let him take care of her but I also got to see how much Aaron wanted it because of that resistance.

For such a shorter book, this had a lot of great material and I really enjoyed their book. I want to see Cameron get his own book too!

I have to admit, I forgot I was reading this to give a review on it. The third in a series, and I think it's my favorite one yet! More than once I caught myself picturing the scene in my mind as I read, the expressions that she described telling more about the emotions than the words they spoke. When a story plays out in your mind as you read, you know it's well written and a winner! The only negative, and this isn't in the author's control, I wish it was easier to get a paperback copy here in the US for our customers- her other books have all been great sellers, and they ask about this series as well. I've had them back ordered with the distributor trying to get some here for months but no luck.

The story of Becka and Aaron. After a one night stand at a wedding, Becka finds out she is pregnant. Aaron is determined to be part of the babies life, no matter how much Becka tries to push him away.

I didn't know this was part of a serie and would like to read the rest of them now.

This book was super fun! Accidental baby is one of my favorite tropes, and when I see it I practically insta-buy. Or in this case, insta-request from NetGalley. I really liked the two main characters. They felt real and like they had real issues. Becka felt more real to me than Aaron did, partially because her experiences in life were more down-to-earth. I definitely shipped the characters, and it had a great happy ending!

Becka and Aaron have a very hot one night stand right after her sister's wedding that results in a big surprise a few weeks later. How they work out their very real differences and come together makes this an enjoyable romance.

Aaron isn't one for asking, "the list of everything wrong with this place is longer than we have time for. Pack your bags. Were leaving."
Aaron sometimes has to give himself a talking to, "he clenched his jaw harder. Do not yell at her contrary ***. Be calm. Be effing rational. “You mentioned compromise.” I liked this book, I loved Aaron.

One of the hottest men in the Dare books is matched with one of the most dislikeable females. The romance between these two is hot and steamy. The parts told from his POV are enjoyable. The parts told from hers are less so. Overall I enjoyed the book, and by the end I liked these two together.

I am a fan of this author but I have never read this series before. It is book 3 of the series about 3 men who are good friends and they fall for a woman who are friends/sisters. This is Becka's story and she is the younger sister of the female lead in the first book, Lucy.

Becka is young but very HOT! and she thinks Alex is pretty hot too. She meets him at her sisters wedding and they have a one night stand. Then the book picks up 2 weeks later and circumstances make it that Alex and Becka end up as roomies.

This book is HOT!! but also has a great story with twoo very different people. It easily stands alone and I highly enjoyed it.

Fitness instructor Becka meets CEO Aaron at a wedding and the sparks fly. Instant attraction leads to a one night stand and an accidental pregnancy. Overall I enjoyed Make Me Yours, however this is the first book I've read where I didn't really like the female character. Becka just seemed to have too much baggage to instantly fall in love. Aaron on the other hand was a saint in comparison. Overall I'd give this a 3.5 or 4 stars.

I absolutely loved Aaron in this book. He was the perfect one night stand but he was also the stand up type guy once he found of she was pregnant. I have a lot of book boyfriends but Aaron stands out to me because of the way he treated Becka. He could read her so well. He knew when to push and when to hold back. He knew if he pushed too hard she would run. He knew what he wanted. My only thought was I would l think someone like him would have reacted a little differently when he found out she was pregnant but he was more concerned about getting her into his house.

I did have a hard time with Becka. I had a hard time understanding her baggage. While I understood having crappy parents she seemed to have taken it to an extreme and seemed to be a runner whenever anything happy happened to her.

I liked the dynamics between the two of them as they got to know each other.

So you're telling me after one night of passion make you suddenly decided you want a baby and a happily ever after? Cum on guys, let's be real. The story itself was mediocre. Nothing, and I mean nothing stood out besides Becka's blue hair. Let's also mentioned how nonchalant Aaron reaction was when she broke the news to him that she's pregnant and furthermore, how quickly they got back in the motion of sleeping together was a joke. Why do I bother grabbing Harlequin Dare monthly series for a quick read is a mystery within itself. Overall, an unmemorable read and would be perfect for any reader that loves those cliche instant love romance novels.

Pancakes, food truck tacos, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes...what more could I ask for? Seriously though, this one has all the sexiness of a Katee Robert book but a hell of a lot of sweet mixed in too! Just loved this book!
