Powerful and uncompromising, this is a collection of poems that are reflective, honest and gutsy. Greene takes us inside his life, inside his past convincingly. I feel like I know him personally. Not just his feelings and thoughts, but also his life and influences. What shines is his warmth and earthy sincerity. I loved the honesty in this collection.

I completely enjoyed this collection and this author. Some of my favorite pieces were ´1971´, ´A Slave Story´, ´Aunt Dorothy´, ´Bobby As Fallon Called Him´, ´F%#k You´, ´Lotus´ and my favorite, ´Familiar Stranger´.

Highly recommended collection. I look forward to more by Robertson Greene.
