This is my second novel by L.A. and she’s quickly became one of my favorite authors.

Ryan is a girl who’s lived the life of privilege and she only has her father who is but in prison for a crime then she’s sent to live with her aunt and cousin. This is where things turn. She’s entered into a world that she has no place being but would never turn back from.

She meets our hero Ash, in the gang riddled town where she’s sent to live. Ash is a member of The Disciples. He isn’t exactly what you think he is. He’s a different kind of hero. A victim of his surrounding or maybe circumstances.

Their love story isn’t too angsty or too steamy but it’s cute, sweet and once in a while I like reading romances like this. Don’t expect a dark romance. That isn’t this book. While it’s not exactly white, it’s definitely not black.

Thank you to the publisher, Netgalley and the author for this ARC in exchange for a honest review.

I don't even know where to start.
Ash?
Ryan?
The storyline?
So hard to choose from! *sigh*
We'll go with Storyline, this was amazing.
The characters to the side characters to the events that happen in this book. Amazing.
It's more of a slow burn to what I’m use to but i didn't even realise the time was flying past, the banter between Ash and Ryan or Anto and Ash, Eddi and Ryan.. there was so much banter it was great! They knew how to have a laugh, they all had that witty sarcasm about them too.
The whole falling for the bad boy is one of my favourite tropes so i was sooo excited for this one!
Ryan, she was funny and sarcastic, she had a goodish life, well she made it what it could be considering the circumstances. She held her head up strong when there was times she wanted to be anything but. She was a fighter and believed in who she loves.
Ash! Gah i loved him.
He had to grow up very quickly to look after his little brother, to give him the best life he could considering what he does but he was always willing to put someone else first even if it meant he didn't get the girl but luckily enough he decided to screw what others thought and met Ryan.

This story was amazing and I’m so happy and grateful that i got the chance to read ot early.
You guys won't want to miss this one!

While the concept of this story was clear; “good girl falls on hard times and meets boy from the wrong side of town”, I felt the main characters lacked chemistry. It was obvious that Ashley had fallen into the wrong crowd; he also projected a lack of respect for women in the early part of the book (as per the first sex scene). Ryan was understandably rudderless after her father’s fall from grace, but her reasons for seeking a relationship with this “bad boy” were shallow. This was my first read by L.A. Casey and while it wasn’t a great story, it did have some redeeming factors. As I have read many positive reviews for this author’s other series, I will probably read something else before I pass final judgement.

DNF

I was bored, and didn't care for any of the characters. Ashley sounded like a good guy but there was no way out of the gang and I didn't like that.

Ryan Mahony is all alone. Her mother is dead and her father is in prison. She is sent to live with her aunt and cousin in a part of Dublin, Ireland that it controlled by a notorious gang, the Disciples. Her cousin and aunt warn her about the area they live in. They also tell her to stay away from the gang member on their street, Ashley Dunne. Ashley has always his pick of women, but when he meets the sweet, naive Ryan, he has to have her. Ryan thinks the best of Ashley. She believes that he is a good person who has to do certain things to survive. She is drawn into Ash's web and allows her trusting nature to overcome her fear. This book had an interesting plot and well-developed characters. Ashley was so endearing and multi-layered that I felt the pain of their desire to have a "normal"life together that both knew was nearly impossible.

This book will be available March 26, 2019. An egalley of this book was made available from the publisher in exchange for a honest review.

Loved this book, all the characters were likeable. I have lots of family in Dublin so could visualise the areas and read it in Irish accent 😁. At first we could think Ryan was naieve and didn't have a clue about the real world but she was feisty and funny and loved her family.
I enjoyed the way we can presume things about people because of where they live and how they live but Ash and Ryan's story shows we need to not be judgemental.
I loved the ending and smiled a lot a lovely feel good book

Thanks to the publisher for an ARC to read and give my honest opinion.

Ryan is a shy girl who has been homeschooled. She goes to live with her aunt and cousin when her Dad is jailed for a crime, she believes he did not commit. While at her Aunt's, she meets Ash. Ash is a gang member of the disciples, lost in a gang world because of circumstances. There they fall for each other and look for their HEA.

What did I like? This was a cheeky read, and I laughed and smiled through it. Instead of Ash coming across as a bad ass, you could tell he was just a victim of circumstance and that he didn't really want the gang life. Ryan was just the opposite of endearing. Her character was just typically irritating because of her young age and childishness probably brought forth from the isolation she got in her child hood. It was a cute story but I wasn't engrossed as usual.

Would I buy this book? That is one hot cover and an eye catcher but sadly I would not buy a copy. If I hadn't read it, I probably would just for that insanely hot cover. I didn't care for the story much, even though it was cheeky.

Thoughts for the author? I've always like this author but lets be honest I'm probably not going to like every book. I thought it was an okay read but the chemistry and characters left something to be desired on this one. I hope the next one is more my style. Three Stars.

Not as emotional has her other books, but still quite good. Ash and Ryan are sweet couple. They lived both had a lot of hardships to deal with growing up. They found each other.

I was excited about Ash and Ryan's chemistry and the good girl and bad boy vibe on the story. While I liked the story and the heartfelt chemistry, I did find Ryan to be naive at times and a little unbelievable. All in all, this was a nice read if not my favorite from this author.

My Little Secret is actually a huge life changing secret but you will never know if you don't read it. This sweet romance is between a naive young woman and a worldly troubled man. It's a case of opposites attracting. Set in Ireland, My Little Secret has the dreamy accents and lingo to back it up. ( Please excuse the puddle of drool, I can't help it.)

You will be happy to know, all your questions will be answer by the time you finish. Enjoy the journey, love the lingo, and find some friends worth having around. It'll be our secret!

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review. Thank you, NetGalley, LA Casey and Montlake Romance for the opportunity.

Ryan Mahony is a good girl. She lives a privileged and sheltered life in the countryside of Ireland until her father, a former barrister, is sent to prison. Ashley Dunn is a bad boy. He is a member of the Disciples, one of Dublin's most notorious gangs and has a ruthless reputation. When Ryan goes to live with her aunt and cousin in their urban estate, her path unexpectedly crosses with Ash and sparks fly. The more time she spends with Ash, the more Ryan begins to believe that maybe Ash isn't really a bad boy at all. He's just a guy in a bad situation.

LA Casey's classic tale of a good girl falling for a bad boy was delightful. I loved how the narrative was funny yet really emotional. Many of the characters had loss in their lives and as a reader, I was able to really feel for them no matter their situations. My Little Secret's plot was not all romance either, which is always a pleasant bonus. The story has a few mysteries and is a little suspenseful too. One of my favorite parts without spoiling the story was the reveal of Mr. Nobody. I did not see the identity coming and I must praise LA Casey for such a curve ball.

I had only one issue with the novel and that was getting used to reading the Irish dialect. As an American, I struggled a little with it. However, once you get out your comfort zone, it will be smooth sailing. I promise.

I recommend this book.

Another fantastically written book by L.A Casey.
She has not written a bad book yet !
Every book i read by this amazing author grips me so much that i literally cannot put the book down.
She can write comedy between the characters like in "The Slater Series" but also Heartfelt Emotional scenes like in "Until Harry" and 'Her Lifeline"
You never know what you'll get in her books until you actually read them.

Ryan Mahony's life has been in a tailspin since her father was sentenced to serve time in prison. With her steadfast belief of his innocence, Ryan is still left with a void while he is away. She promises him that she will move to Dublin to live with her aunt and cousin, so she won't be left entirely alone. Leaving her insular childhood home to live in the big city where there are dangers around every corner is a far cry from her what she is used to, but she vows to make the best of her situation while she is there.

Ashley Dunne is a member of Dublin's most ruthless gang, where selling drugs and breaking bones is all in a days work. But, his unfortunate extra-curricular activities in no way define the kind of man that he is. After the death of their mother, Ash is the only parent his younger brother has, and he takes his role as parent very seriously.

Ryan and Ashley are opposites in every way, but when they meet, the sparks between them are something that neither of them can deny...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Little Secret is a story of a sheltered girl who meets the bad boy with a heart of gold. Warned away from him from the very start, Ryan can't help but interact with Ash when he refuses to leave her alone. When their good-natured flirting leads them to something more, Ryan and Ash's journey to HEA is anything but easily won.
Ryan may have been brought up with the finer things in life, but her isolated existence has left her lacking in the socializing department. Moving to Dublin comes with it's own set of hurdles, but when she meets one of the people she was expressly told to stay away from, Ryan finds it impossible to avoid the enigmatic Ashley.
Ash's membership in the Disciples is not one the he celebrates. Making a mistake when he was a teenager has led to a life sentence of gang life. But, he makes due with what life has dealt him, and focuses on teaching his brother to be a good man, even when Ash himself has had to do some very bad things. He knows his infatuation with Ryan is something that could never go anywhere... she is a nice girl with a life that would only be ruined by associating with a man like him. But, his ability to stay away from her is quickly losing out to his need to spend every waking moment getting to know everything about her.
L.A. Casey's voice continues to be a delight of local dialect and life in Dublin, which combined with her entertaining writing and unique storylines, delivers with another great book. With some fantastic story elements and an entire cast of solid and interesting characters, this story was an enjoyable and fascinating read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
I feel this book could have potential, but is just not there yet. I’m at 60% and it is a struggle to keep me engaged. I take a break after every chapter because I’m bored, but I told myself I would finish this book. I just haven’t been finishing books lately because they don’t hold my attention.
Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!
Wow this was so bad. What happened to author who has written Slater brothers??? This book..... I don't even know where to begin. The story had a potential but the delivery was really bad. Ryan and Ash did not have any chemistry and they felt like robots to me. There is a sex scene with Ash and another girl at the beginning of the book and I just hated it. I don't understand, and never will, why authors think that we readers like to read about one of the main characters having sex (in detail) with someone else before they meet their heroine.
I'm writing this review and I still can't believe how bad this book was. At the end everything was wrapped up so quickly and nicely that my head was spinning.
After saying all of the above I'll still read L. A. Casey because this is the first time I got disappointed.
This is my first time reading an L.A. Casey book and I’ll definitely be checking out more in the future. My Little Secret is the love story of a very bad boy, Ashley, and a good girl, Ryan (yes, you read that correctly - the quirky names were one of many things that helped keep this otherwise dark book lighthearted). I have to admit, I was not sold on the book at the beginning. All of the characters have heavy Irish accents which took a little getting used to, and Ash was most definitely a bad boy at the beginning of the book - I struggled with whether or not I’d be able to root for him to find love. But the writing style was great and the book progressed quickly. Ash soon won me over and I most definitely loved the core relationship (not to mention the secondary relationship in this book!)
If you’re looking for a fast-paced romance with a little mystery and some humor, look no further than My Little Secret.
Yet again, another epic read by this fabulous author! I don’t even have to read a blurb from this woman to know her books will be amazing, she is that awesome! I loved this book, from the storyline, to the characters—I couldn’t put it down! Highly recommend reading!
Got to be honest, I wasn’t feeling the first few chapters, and then, BAM, I fell head over heels in love with bad boy Ashley Dunne. Ash was not selling drugs and breaking legs because he wanted to, no, Ash was stuck in a life of crime because his younger self was trying to provide for his mum and brother. A victim of circumstance trapped in a life of crime, he was considerate and kind with a lethal edge. I loved his interactions with Ryan, who he was besotted with from the very first time he saw her. Two people from entirely different worlds, both knowing that a relationship was impossible. Wonderful writing (dual POV), a story that I truly didn’t want to end. It’s been a long time since I’ve wanted to go straight to the beginning of a book and read it again, I wanted to do it that with My Little Secret. I loved the characters, Ash, Ryan, and all the misfits in and amongst made for an emotional and passionate story, with a few twists. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher. This is my honest review.
