Grace Murphy has always been drawn to Vittorio Ferraro but she never would be in his circle, until she gets caught up in a kidnapping and Vittorio immediately recognizes Grace as what he’s been missing in his life. Now he just must convince her to take a chance on him.

Grace grew up in the foster care system, never knowing she was a shadow rider. Her co-foster brother has developed an very unhealthy obsession with Grace and she fears getting close to anyone because her psychotic foster brother has always hurt, maimed or even kill them. Running on scared, Grace finds it hard to trust the bad boy rep. Vittorio has purposely created.

Hot men, strong woman and a plot that keeps the reader engaged throughout, Shadow Warrior is a great addition to Feehan’s Shadow series.

One of the things I enjoy most about Feehan’s writing is no matter what her women have been through they are still strong and independent…. And Grace is no different. She has had a hard life because of her foster brother and his control over her. But when Vittorio comes into her life no one, not even her foster brother, can stop her from falling in love.

It took me a bit to enjoy Vittorio but I eventually did. Once I connected with Vittorio it was a much easier read.

I love reading anything that Feehan writes and this story and series is no different. Wonderful read, wonderful writing and wonderful author.

Shadow Warrior will draw you in from the first page! The story develops at the perfect pace, and you'll fall in love with the Ferraro family before the book is through. Such a fascinating concept and amazing characters, I'm definitely going back to read the previous books in the Shadow Riders series!

The Shadow Rider series is one of Christine Feehan’s newer series, and I think it’s underrated. I love the concept of a mob-like family in Chicago who ride shadows and kill people (what does that say about me?) not your typical romance series setting for sure! Each book is wholly unique to any of her other series and lets Ms. Feehan play a little bit.

Vittorio is an excellent example of a dominant Feehan hero who wasn’t a complete jerk-face. He’s very self-aware about how difficult and dominant he is. In fact, he is more nervous for Grace in the relationship than he is for himself. He loves and respects Grace so much and doesn’t want to smother her with his personality. Will everyone appreciate the dynamic between Grace and Vittorio? Probably not. But I loved it. I never felt that Grace was a doormat for going along with what Vittorio wanted.

CF made Vittorio and Grace’s relationship acceptable because it was all consensual. I love that V didn’t try to dominate Grace’s life before he laid out all the facts for her. If she had really not wanted the lifestyle he was into, he would have let her find someone who worked better for her, even if it hurt him. That action alone puts him towards the top of my Feehan heroes. I will say this book wasn’t nearly as kinky as I was expecting, but I think the steam level and the number of love scenes was perfect for the story, and I don’t always say that about Feehan novels.

If you don’t like insta-love goodness, this story isn’t for you. If you’re ready for intense family drama, smoking hot love scenes, and one of the evilest villains Feehan has ever written, this book is for you.

The only thing that knocked this down a half star was the anti-climactic end to the main suspense plot. I expected a little bit more. Plus I think Emme is going to end up with Val and I really hope not, because I hate him, she deserves better.

Overall, this is going towards the top of the 70+ Feehan novels I’ve read. I loved it. I have been a loyal Feehan fan for years, and with every new book, she rewards that faith with a fantastic read. I can’t wait to find out which Ferraro family member will get a book next!

Shadow Warrior by Christine Feehan is the 4th book in her wonderful Shadow Riders series. As I have mentioned before, I love this series, as the premise though paranormal, it is different and fantastic. Refresher: Shadow riders have the ability to blend themselves to the shadows wherever they are, making themselves invisible to anyone. They have been in existence for centuries, with all members of their families trained to use those abilities. The family runs a legitimate business; they use their ability to help others in need to solve various problems and dispense justice. They are an extremely powerful and close-knit family that is totally loyal to one another, also protecting the people that in live in their community.

Vittorio Ferraro is our hero in Shadow Warrior. We meet Vittorio when he is privately thinking that his brothers have all found their mates, but accepts the fact that this will never happen to him. Vittorio is tough, dominant and knows no woman would ever meet his standards. When he feels vibes that something is wrong and pulling him to go to their club, he comes across some gang members in the club, who are not allowed there. He then tries to come the rescue of the gangsters pushing a young guy into giving them his girl as collection for a big debt; and all hell breaks loose. The girl is seriously hurt, and Vittorio manages to bring in help, and get the girl to the hospital.

Grace Murphy, our heroine, wakes up in the hospital after having major surgeries, and sees Vittorio, whom she only knew from afar. As she goes in and out of conscious, she over hears him tell the doctor and nurses that he is her fiancée, and with each passing day, still unable to communicate well, Grace sees that Vittorio stays with her constantly. He tells her he will take care of her, and to use the guise of being his fiancée to keep her safe. But Vittorio knows that Grace, unbeknownst to her, is a shadow rider, and his mate; he has no intention of letting her go, but has to convince Grace that she is meant for him.

When he gets to take her home, with all the Ferraro’s working together to keep her safe from the boy (who grew up with her in foster homes, and is like a brother; but a very dangerous and mentally ill person). The entire Ferraros are pulled into trying not only to keep Grace safe, but also to keep all members of their family safe from this crazy violent ‘brother’. They also have to deal with the Saldi crime family, who started this all by having some of their men at the club and involved in the shooting. There is a lot of violence, and the Ferraros are determined to not become involved in a war.

While this is going on, Grace slowly recuperates, and over a short period of time, she finds herself falling in love with Vittorio, as well as getting used to his dominance. Grace was a great heroine, and even though she put up with her bad evil ‘brother’, she also helped co run a successful business. Vittorio is beside himself that this beautiful woman is made for him and though he is dominant, he is determined to marry her. Their romance heats up fast, with steamy sex scenes. More into this shortly. I did like Grace and Vittorio together, as they made a great couple. I love the whole Ferraro family, and the premise of this series is awesome. I look forward to Emme’s story, and frankly can’t stand the mother.

This was also a very sensual romance, as Feehan had a lot of sex scenes between our couple. The intense pulse pounding story was exciting, but as I stated earlier, I did feel that the sex scenes a bit too many. If you enjoy the many steamy sexual scenes that possibly takes forefront to the story, then this is perfect for you. But if you prefer more story, and a bit less sex, be warned.

What follows is an exciting adventure, where both Grace is in constant danger, and Vittorio is desperate to find the man who threatens her life; with the entire Ferraro family working hard to help find him.

What I love the most about this series is all the wonderful characters that Feehan has created. I love all of the Ferrero’s, and those they fall in love with that join the family. They are an awesome family, with amazing abilities that make this so much fun.

Shadow Warrior is a captivating, exciting, suspenseful, action packed story, with a wonderful couple that steams the pages. The storyline involving the Saldi’s remains open, and I suspect will play a large part in the next book. This is a fantastic paranormal series that you should be reading, and very well written by Christine Feehan.

The Ferraro crime family uses their unique shadow riding abilities to mete out vigilante style justice when the system fails. There is a lot of pressure for shadow riders to marry and create more shadow riders so the line continues but there is also the rare chance of love and happiness when a shadow rider finds that one other person capable of riding shadows whose shadow merges with theirs. Dominant Vittoria despairs of finding happiness since he needs a submissive woman who's also a shadow rider. Imagine Vittorio's surprise when he saves a woman from being trafficked by the Ferraro enemies only to find that her shadow merges with his. Now he needs to know if she can put up with his dominant ways.....Grace Murphy has grown up in the foster care system with all the attendant pain associated with such an upbringing. She now runs one of the most successful event management companies in Chicago, the only holdback to her freedom and happiness is her foster brother Hayden. But a fatal line is crossed when Hayden tries to sell her to human traffickers. Fortunately for Grace, Vittorio Ferraro arrives in the nick of time to save her and then she in turns saves his life when she takes a bullet for him.
Vittorio immediately knows that Grace is the one for him and quickly spreads the mantle of the Ferraro family over her as she recovers in the hospital and later in his home. As is prevalent in the author's novels we get a lot of hot and erotic scenes as Grace and Vittorio explore their sexual side of their relationship. The Ferraro siblings are extremely close knit and we get some family bonding and drama as well.
The Ferraro's and the Saldi's have been at peace for many years but something is definitely afoot given the doings at the Ferraro club which Vittorio interrupted and the nasty set down from the Saldi heir to Emmanuelle Ferraro. I actually had a soft corner for the two of them thinking of them as a Romeo and Juliet but the story does not appear to be progressing in that direction. Potentially this is not over and we'll see this as an ongoing thread in future books.
Hayden Phillips is the hidden dark surprise in this story given the reconstruction of events in Grace's growing years with him and his stalking of her. Could he be a serial killer? Get ready for some nice chills and thrills as this thread is explored in the story.
I am enjoying this series and look forward the rest of the Ferraro siblings and cousins find their HEAs.

Christine Feehan’s SHADOW WARRIOR is a wonderful addition to the Shadow series. Grace Murphy has been betrayed by her foster brother. She takes a bullet for Vittorio Ferraro, who recognizes her as the woman whose shadow matches his own. Vittorio places Grace under his protection while Grace fears she exposed the Ferrero’s to a serial killer. This contemporary paranormal romance is suitable for adult readers. It takes place in Chicago.

I really enjoyed SHADOW WARRIOR. It is a creative and exciting story. It is skillfully written and entertaining. The characters are likable and well developed. I like Grace. She is loyal and intelligent. Vittorio is protective and fierce. The two have amazing chemistry. There are a lot of interesting things that take place in this story. It is full of mystery and suspense. I thought the rivalry between the Ferraro's and the Saldi’s was intriguing. The serial killer aspect of the novel was gripping. Followers of the Shadow series will not be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Shadow Warrior continues the story of the Ferraro family and their shadow walking abilities. Vittorio was kind of the wild card brother (to me, anyway). I never quite got a good read on him-he is quite and subdued. That changed dramatically in Shadow Warrior!

Vittorio is a Dom. At first, he alludes to never being able to find a woman who would be willing to meet his needs. He said this multiple times and I was starting to get scared about what exactly he was into that was strange. But, as it unfolds, I think he is just very dominate. He isn't into pain or anything like that, but he is controlling. However, its not BAD controlling and you recognize quickly that he would never do something his lover didn't enjoy. For readers who are skep about Dom/Sub stuff, I think this is a great example of the practice used in a healthy relationship. Maybe I'm wrong (I don't know much about it, and I haven't really read much BDSM), but I thought Feehan's approach to this aspect of Vittorio's personality was well handled.

Grace is a woman who gives off the appearance of having her life together. She works for a very popular event planner and she is the person behind the scenes that makes everything run flawlessly. But her personal life has been hell since childhood. Her foster brother was truly terrifying and his presence added a layer of genuine fear to the story.

Finally, there is lots of allusions regarding Emmanuelle and I'm hoping her book is next. But, there is an allusion to Taviano and his true love as well. There is some drama with a local crime family that has been brewing for awhile now, and all this goes on while Vittorio and Grace are dealing with Haydon. Shadow Warrior was captivating from the start and it never let up with its blend of danger and sensuality.

"Shadow Warrior" follows Vittorio as he meets his match in Grace Murphy. She has been tortured for years by her foster brother, a sick serial killer who is obsessed with her, and yet has kept going with her life. While never having friends or relationships, Grace loves her work and stands up for herself as much as possible. Love is one of the things she never expected to have because her foster brother wouldn't allow it. I was really impressed with how strong Grace was after everything she'd been through, and how she was eventually able to come to trust and love Vittorio. Vittorio was a little harder to get to know, always hiding his feelings behind walls of calm that made him a good Shadow Rider. But there was enough emotional vulnerability in him to make him approachable- which is not always the case with Feehan's men.

There was less repetition in "Shadow Warrior" than many of Feehan's other books, a little better editing and tighter writing than I generally expect and I didn't have to skim through pages to stick with the story. Vittorio's dominance may make some readers uncomfortable, but I thought it was tactfully done and the emphasis on honest communication between Grace and Vittorio and the obvious love between them helped.

A pretty good book in an up and down series, regular readers should definitely like this one.

There is something about these Ferraro siblings that is addicting. Every time I read about them finding their “one” I always get sucked in and swoon every time. Every time I think I have found my new favorite Ferraro, another one comes up and steals the show and that’s exactly what happened with Vittorio!

This book starts off with a bang when Vittorio meets Grace being sold into human trafficking by her previous foster brother. As soon as he sees her he knows that she’s meant to be his. Convincing her and keeping her safe will be hard. I loved these two together! Vittorio thought he would never find a woman that he would be able to have and let alone be comfortable with the lifestyle that he wants.
Grace was strong and I honestly don’t know how she didn’t crack under being around Hayden for so long. He trapped her and kept her in fear. So much fear that I was scared she wouldn’t let Vittorio help her heal and find peace in living her life. She came out of her shell and gave him the submission he needed.

The relationship between these two was sensual and such a joy to read about. Vittorio needed someone who would let him dominate the relationship. Let him be in control in the bedroom and make choices for their life. Grace gave herself to him and it was great when you saw her beginning to trust him and gave him that power.

However, I did have some issues. Feehan spends A LOT of pages dedicated to sex between these two and repeating things that have already been covered in previous chapters. This book could have been a whole shorter! I like sex scenes as much as the next girl, but like every other book in this series, it’s drawn out and not really needed.

This was a good addition of the Shadow series and I really need a book on Emmanuelle really soon!

Christine Feehan has done it again! Shadow Warrior is an amazing book and an amazing love story. Vittorio and Grace are two amazing characters and while you don't have to read the other books in the series I would recommend that you do, as it is great to see them all again in this book. Vittorio and Grace's story just amazing and I could not put the book down to I finished the very last page. In Grace, Vittorio finds his soulmate, but there are obstacles to overcome as trouble is right around the corner. Grace is in grave danger an so is anyone around her, but Vittorio will do whatever it takes to make sure that now that he has found Grace no one can take her from him!

The books in this series always sound like a good idea, but as a whole the story doesn't land for me.

I liked the beginning of the book - Vittorio and Grace meet under dangerous circumstances and end up saving each other. Vittorio's pronouncement goes a long way to giving her protection but they both have a long way of healing and trust.

It was everything after that just seems drawn out and repetitive. The romance is missing the build up of emotion and sex. Also there were several characters who apparently are important but I got lost in the "mob" politics.

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy.

I read this immediately when it was available (just took longer to make the time to review here) As with all Christine's books - she pulls me in quickly and never lets go! I love the Shadow Riders and this was a great addition!

An excellent addition to the Shadow Rider series. I devoured this book in one sitting. The characters are well-written and we get to visit with characters from the other books in the series. While we know there will be a HEA, the stalker aspect kept me in suspense until it was resolved. Well done!

Shadow Warrior is the 4th book in the Shadow Riders series. I have not read the previous books, but I do feel like I get Christine Feehan's type of world, so I just rolled with it. Christine Feehan's writing style is almost entirely "exposition through conversation'" and because I haven't read the previous books, I was a bit confused at some points. I would imagine long-time readers of the series will be fine.

The hero is Vittorio Ferraro. He's a shadow rider (a kind of mystical assassin) and the heroine is Grace Murphy. This book, like most Christine Feehan books, is 100% over the top alpha male. For the most part, I very much enjoy this type of story, but this one was even more over the top than usual. Vittorio in order to feel nurturing must absolutely make 100% of the decisions for himself and his woman. It's a lot. But, my guess is if you're reading Christine Feehan, you know what you're getting yourself into.

As always, she delivers a high heat book with paranormal elements. The characters almost always are about an uber-alpha male from a strong, close-knit family and a heroine who is looking for a home. If that's your jam, you will likely enjoy this book.

Ms. Feehan is still able to deliver unique characters, plots and thrills! Shadow Warrior is book four of the Shadow Rider series in which a VERY slim percentage of families across the world are born with the abilities to use shadows to travel from place to place. It's grueling on the body and the expected duties that come along with it take a toll on the soul. But Vittorio has remained a steady, calm person throughout his life, and while dealing with all of the trouble that seems to follow the Ferraro family around. He's never believed that he'd find someone to fit his unique needs, so he's stepped up his involvement in their assigned jobs. Until the day his instincts take him to where Grace is immersed in trouble.

Grace Murphy has spent her entire life hiding. Her foster brother's unique personality has necessitated hiding interests, friendships and successes. When he comes knocking on her door again, this time trying to trade her away to cover his gambling debts, she thinks this is the end. When Vittorio appears out of nowhere to interrupt the trade, she's thrilled and terrified for him. Her foster brother does NOT take interference well. Little does she know that she's exactly what Vittorio's been looking for in a partner and he's willing to fight for their future relationship if she is.

I sincerely love this new-ish series from Christine Feehan. The concept of their abilities and the intricacies of the neighborhood they protect are wonderful. Each character is unique and has all the emotional depth you could want. I'm always surprised how some authors who've written so many books can continue to produce new and unique stories without repeating hero or heroine personalities and plots. Great read!

Really have enjoyed this series and the whole Ferraro family. It's been a fun ride with the supernatural elements (and such unusual ones at that) and I really love a good mobster story which this series definetly has elements of. Also love to see glimpses into the "current" lives of the other couples from the series. This installment did not disappoint! I just love Feehan and this series!!

Vittorio Ferraro is a shadow rider who, with other members of his family, are able to travel though shadows to mete out justice to those criminals that have escaped prosecution. Riders can only marry and have children with women who can ride shadows which is rare. When Vittorio meets Grace, he is drawn to her immediately recognizing that she is his mate. She's in immediate danger from her evil foster brother who has kept Grace secluded and terrified most of her life. Vittorio is determined to protect her and will have to use all his resources to keep her safe. Another enjoyable book in the Shadow Riders series!

Shadow Warrior is the most recent addition to the Shadow Rider series and I adored this book so much. There is something so endearing about this series and how this family loves and protects one another. This is book number four and we see some more depths of this family as we see other developments with the youngest sister “Emma” and her love interest as she battles with herself when he betrays her but their love is a forbidden love and so I am eager for her book so BADLY. Crossing my fingers it will be the next one.

Shadow Warrior begins with our hero, Vittorio Ferraro, who is the bad boy of the group. And with each of his siblings finding love he wonders if it will ever happen to him. But while in the club, he finds members of the family that are their enemies trying to kidnap an innocent woman, a woman he finds out that is his fated match, but she takes a bullet for him and Vittorio sees his chance to help his lady out, and find out if they will have what his siblings have with their spouses. But there is also a danger involving Grace. Grace, has always felt drawn to Vittorio but she has always known that their worlds are so far apart from one another. Grace grew up in foster care, but there was one boy, where they protected each other when the were both abused in a foster home. But her “brother” turned out not completely sane, and as they both got older, Grace began to fear him. And now she finds herself with the aid of the Ferraro family when her brother tried to sell her into sexual slavery to pay off her gambling debts. But with the passion and endearing love blooming between Vittorio and Grace, her brother wants the man she adores dead…

This was such a whirlwind of suspense and sensuality and boy every time I read Christine Feehan I fall in love ever more with her books. I will say that this book really shows her true power in storytelling and I think I am still in a withdrawl of sorts and been focusing on rereading my favorites from this author. I adore how she writes alpha males, they get to me every single dang time and I LOVE it. I will say that if you love alpha males, then this is definitely a must read for you. I really had a blast with this book and was so sad when it ended because this series is one of my favorites from this author. (although quite frankly I love just about every book I have read from her

The love story that develops is sexy, passionate and has its moments of poignant emotion that is displayed throughout the story. I really love seeing a character that grows up in foster care, especially seeing how strong and courageous she is and how she has risen above the abuse she has suffered all of these years and become such a sucess. She has worked her own career and kept her important hidden from her crazy brother even. She works with an event planner, but she is the heart and soul of the business and her business partner is more of a cover so her brother doesn’t target her closest friend/business partner. We see a bit of their friendship here, not too much (I would have liked to see more of their friendship though), and I love how great they work together.

The ferraro family also endears me every time I read them and that is no different with this book here. We do plenty of drama with Eloisa (the mother) and boy with each book I begin to like her less and less. She is a piece of work, But you see how the siblings really come together and support one another no matter what. I love seeing their loyalty and affection for one another. And they just open their arms to Grace and love seeing how much they value her.

Overall I found this story to be a winner, its a tale of thrilling adventure, fated love, and an emotionally gripping story to keep you hungering for more.
