This book was not as good as I thought it was going to be. The story was great but the telling not so good. This felt like a story being told and I could not immerse myself into it like I normally do with other books, I also could not associate with the characters. The nickname of Honey and Babe that I am normally fine with felt a bit much and was overused. Huge jumps was made from one scene to another, and I still can't figure out how after one or two meetings with each other that Tom loved Virginia so much that her death had a big impact on his life, it was the same with Sally.
This book was something that read very fast but it just was not that good, something lacked.

A solid read that kept me intrigued. I felt for Tom and Geraldine, so much that they went through. I highly recommend! I voluntarily read this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.
