Another stunning standalone thriller from the master of Thrillers. Run Away is a fast paced, gripping page turner guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Run Away has been on my Netgalley shelf for far too long, I can't believe I didn't read this sooner!

Simon & Ingrid Greene are facing a parent's nightmare with their daughter Paige missing after getting mixed up with drugs and dropping out of University.

I have been a fan of Harlan Coben for a long time but not read anything by him recently, this was still just as brilliant and I felt confident the author wouldn't let me down. Coben tells a difficult storyline with empathy and characters that feel real. Simon Greene is nothing if not determined and measured, the relationship between him and his wife equal and strong, the same can't be said of that with his children who he so desperately wants not to let down when his eldest is already far from the young family girl she once was ... what happened to cause such a drastic change in her?

With two parallel storylines which come together to explain all the secrets and reasons for multiple murders and disappearances it can take a moment to remember where you were, particularly on a kindle, however it was deftly done and all the pieces were eventually neatly tied up but oh what a ride on the way to the truth! I was angry, worried, rooting for Simon to find the answers and his daughter, desperate to know who Ash and Dee Dee really are and why are they doing what they're doing... There are a good variety of characters who all play their part, everyone seemed necessary although I did wonder what happened to Hester ...but perhaps she'd done all she needed to.

When you just think you're still missing a piece, it is popped in to place right at the very end, a very satisfying conclusion that makes perfect sense and delivered just as you think you'll never know...

I would recommend this to others who like an involved but well solved read, everything seems important and you will feel it, especially if you are a parent yourself.

A solid 5 stars from me!

Even though I ended up buying myself a physical copy of this book, I would still like to thank Netgalley and the publishers for providing me with a copy to read and review.

Not my favourite Harlan Coben novel, but still very gripping read!
Maintaining his high standard for thrillers, Run Away drew me in immediately with a father's desperate search for his daughter, and a story that is perfectly set up for secrets and dark twists.
Fast-paced, intriguing from the get go, and an ending that I certainly didn't expect; this book is most definitely a must-read! Looking forward to reading more from Harlan Coben!

I found this just an ok read, it was nothing fantastic and at times a little bit predictable. Saying that though I have read and loved other books by this author.

Another good book from the best selling author Harlan Coben.

Run away was a race of a read that kept me hooked from the very first page to the last. I'm sure this will be a bestseller like all of Harlan's books.

Sorry, but not up to the authors usual high standard. Predictable and a little bit silly in places. There's much better books by this author but if you follow him, its an okay read.

I think at its core, Run Away really examines the unconditional live a parent has for their children and to what ends they would go to in order to keep them alive. Simon Green is a character that fits this idea to the core, doing anything in his power to find daughter Paige and protect her from whatever danger she's in.

This is high octane stuff, with high action throughout. There's no subtlety to the plot, preferring to bulldoze the readers emotions into caring about Simon and Paige. You can't trust anyone, or any action as every step forward leads to two steps back. The pace never let's up once, and I was also pleasantly surprised by just how quickly I was sucked into the story.

Cohen certainly knows his craft, and he does it well.

Boy, does this have a killer ending!

What do a string of unrelated deaths and a missing girl have in common? Quite a lot, as it turns out, in Harlan Coben's thrilling story of a father looking to track down his daughter only to discover there's a lot more going on underneath the surface than he could have ever dreamed about.

Drug empires, weird cults, and killers for hire all combine to create a tale which will have you gripped to the incredible ending.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC without obligation.

A desperate father will do anything to save his daughter. The story starts off strong, and keeps the reader glued until the very end. Recommended.

However, thanks to NetGalley for the ARC :-)

A family torn by secrets and a missing daughter who is taken away by drugs.
A father, Simon is desperate to find his daughter Paige and get her back into the family after being missing for so long that he ends up becoming a social media star for the wrong reasons. The story takes a turn later when the missing daughters boyfriend is killed and the daughter turns into a suspect. Father and wife go together to look for their daughter and the story takes many turns.
The story wraps up all loose ends towards the end of the story through many twists and turns.
A recommended read for thriller lovers

What can you say, it’s Harlan Coben the king of thrillers and once again he smashed it with this one! Loved it and devoured it in a few hours as I couldn’t stop reading (same as always with his books)! Brilliantly written once again he doesn’t disappoint you and this one if full of the usual balance of suspense and tension and twists and turns!

Loved it 6 stars

I am a fan of this author and was really looking forward to reading this story. As much as I liked the story I wasn’t as blown away as I hoped I’d be. The story is quite dark, it has a lot of different twists and turns throughout. This is simply my opinion and I know there are a lot of people who will love this story.

It's been a while since I have read a Harlan Coben book but that's another story.

This one was fantastic and had me questioning my sanity regarding the above statement.

Twists, turns, and reading way past my bedtime - this was worth every minute of my moaning about being tired whilst at work the following day.
