Growing your Own Tea Garden is much more than giving you steps to well grow your tea garden. There is history behind each tea, each leaf and there is a care the author gives when explaining why this is something you should know/do.

As someone who wants to rely on my own means to take care of my household as opposed to running to the store for everything, this is a great resource to have.

While I would love to be able to grow real tea in my backyard in Maine, it's a little too cold for that, but as Helmer explains there are many other things we can grow that can be made into a tasty and healthful beverage.
The book begins with a history of tea growing and drinking, explaining where it was grown and who cultivated it, sold it and drank it. The plant itself is then explores, along with all the other herbs, roots and flowers that can be made into a tea. There are recipes for making the tea, for relaxation, wellness, sleep and other cures, as well as just tea to drink and enjoy. A lovely addition to the bookshelf of gardeners and tea drinkers alike

I have a cup of tea everyday. In the cold winters of Minnesota I love warm tea and iced tea in the summer. I have always wanted to start my own tea garden but did not know where to begin. This book is wonderful and the cover is so inviting. Can not wait to start a tea garden of my own!
