I absolutely adore everything Harlequin Manga has put out recently and Expecting the Earl's Baby was no different. These mangas take no time at all to read and I highly recommend them.

I am so excited to see a lot more of these Harlequin romance manga comics being released. I love them. They give me a quick, enjoyable, romantic read when I am short on time. And on top of that, it's a taster for the full story and sometimes I go back and get the book to read all the details which sometimes the manga misses. Nonetheless, thoroughly enjoyable. Apologies for the repeat review, but I tend to feel the same about almost all the books.

Book title : Terms of Engagement: a Harlequin Manga

Author : Jessica Gilmore ; Illustrator : Tomomi Yamashita

Release Date : 9 February 2019

Daisy Huntingdown is a wedding photographer who happens to comes to Hawkey Castle and meets her Sebastian there. They end up by having a night stand. Daisy who is haunted by her parent's past finds out that she is pregnant by Sebastian. She decides to let Seb knows about the baby and her decision to keep the baby. Seb ends up by offering her a hand of marriage. Little that they know, Daisy's past and Seb's real status will influence their relationship.

I know that the ending of the story is predictable yet the conflict presented in the manga version is beautifully illustrated. It is definitely a manga that offers sweet romance and a good one to read.

This is a sweet story about second chances in life and understanding our own power to reinvent ourselves.

The art is cute, though the mouths were too large when the characters yelled and that made them look caricatureque. The drawings of the castles and the city of Oxford were beautiful, though.

Out of one night-stand comes the pregnancy stated in the title. It took me by surprise that there was no commotion around this fact. They both accept it a bit flippantly. I really liked the woman's job as a photographer capturing special moments, and the man's love for History and the lessons it provides. They both needed to accept the past thd thus find their happiness and freedom. A pretty story.

Can a wedding photographer and a history professor hit it off and make it last when the consequences of a one night stand bind them together despite their best intentions? One could not pair them if one tried, but love finds a way… funny contemporary rom com.

This is now one of my favorite manga romances!

Daisy is a wedding photographer and she is a career woman and very independent. She isn't too pleased when she gets snowed in at Hawksley Castle where she has been photographing a wedding. Things take a good turn when she meets Seb who manages the castle. The two of them have a great time together and one thing leads to another.

A few weeks later Daisy realises she is pregnant and when she goes to tell Seb she finds out that he isn't who he says he is. In any case he decides to do the right thing and offers her his hand in marriage and although Daisy accepts for the sake of the baby she hasn't been honest either because she hasn't said who she is.

As Seb and Daisy get to know each other and prepare for their wedding, they both get to uncover their painful pasts and mistakes, and they also lay a foundation for their future, but some of the hurdles confronting them may prove insurmountable. Only love can help them overcome and they both have to recognise this and use love to help them build a future.

This is a lovely story. I really liked Daisy and thought she was feisty and courageous. Seb is also a great character and a bit of an endearing nerd. There is a great supporting cast of secondary characters who enrich the story.

As with all Harlequin Mangas the artwork is excellent and brings the story to life in an engaging way. I enjoyed this because it was both romantic and humorous with great artwork.

*looks as innocent as she can*Yes, I know, we were done with the Harlequin Manga Party... but then they added new ones... and I couldn't resist... I just had to click on request on most of these. The only ones I didn't request were the ones that were so strongly historical and seemed boring. So I got 16 new Harlequin manga to read, be prepared. :P

This one was the first, I just adored the cover, and the blurb seemed quite adorable and sweet. I was very much curious about what was so special about that night.

"Love? Marriage? They're not for me. That's something I could never have. On the night of my eighteenth birthday, one mistake changed my whole life." Oh my, I wonder what happened that she had to change her name and past and everything.

Mmm, I am not feeling the spark just yet. If anything Seb and Daisy just don't fit together. He seemed stand-offish and he was quite rude when he encountered her in the snow.

Also good grief, she is pregnant. So that is why their destiny gets changed. Yeah, if you are dumb enough to not use protection. Oh, we had sex 2 times, oh let's just ditch the condoms and such the next few times.. *rolls eyes at the stupidity of people*

Sure, let's get married? Just for the child who needs that title and such? Urgh. Sorry, if they had a spark I would root for them, but I am just not seeing anything between them. Seb is just so so boring and urgh, I can't get a reading on the guy. And Daisy? I am not that interested in her. We find out a bit more on her past, but I still don't understand why she ran away from it all. I am guessing something more happened, hopefully we get to the nittygritty soon. And we did, but I still don't get it. Someone posted a bad picture online, that sucks balls, I agree, but it doesn't seem that you need to change EVERYTHING for that. I am just confused. Plus, I frankly don't get why Seb is all pissy about it. Something to do with his parents, but I don't really get it yet. Then again, I kept having to blink due to me tuning out. This story is just so yawn.

Holy wow, Seb cleans up nicely. Hot dang. *heart eyes*

Of course, as expected, everything ends up in happiness.

*yawns* That was just so boring and the couple had zero chemistry. I am glad I write these reviews as I read the book because I frankly have no clue what I just read. :P Hopefully the other Harlequin's are better. *crosses fingers*
