I absolutely adore everything Harlequin Manga has put out recently and Married in the Morning was no different. These mangas take no time at all to read and I highly recommend them.

I just can't seem to get enough of the romance mangas. Love them. Love the artwork and love that they are adapted from some truly excellent stories. This one is no exception. Beautiful. Romantic. Captivating. And pardon the similar reviews for all the books. I'm catching up and have loved all of them.

Cliche cliche cliche...Gina our heroine go to Las Vegas with Gerrick, the hero! They are off to Vegas to celebrate Gerrick's new job. On their last day there, Gina finds out that she is married to Gerrick! Well, back then she's always attracted to Gerrick's charms tho, but this thing leaves her speechless and confused. The problem starts when they return home!

Well, the story reminds me the movie of Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore's movie entitled "The Law Attraction" with a change of place. But yeah, still a lovely manga to read.

This story is similar to The Hangover but more romantic, haha.In this story Gina doesn't remember last night in Las Vegas and when she woke up in the same room with Gerrick she was amazed XD
There are comic situations and several misunderstanding between the couple, some of them too much nonsense.
It's my first manga romance and in spite wasn't a fantastic story of love I could'nt stop reading. It's a good book/manga to have a good time reading one afternoon.

Gina and Gerrick go to Las Vegas for the weekend to celebrate Gerrick's new job. On the morning of the last day in Vegas, Gina discovers that they are married! Shes's confused and doesn't know what to think as she's always been attracted to him. But when they get back home, things don't go too well.

I really quite liked the art in this manga. I wasn't to fond of Gina, especially when she realises that her father didn't make her CEO and she may never become one. But overall, nicely done in manga form.

Gina work sas Human Resources manager at her father’s company. She has worked in close quarters with Gerrick for years and has managed to keep her crush on him under control, until he informs her he’s resigning to take up a job far away. Their last mission together leads them to Las Vegas where she finally admits to her feelings in a drunken stupor… and ends up waking up naked in her bed with a wedding band on her finger. Gerrick has loved Gina since he met her and had only kept away because as the boss’s daughter he considered her off limits. Now they’re married at last, but she can’t remember a thing! Is he of so little consequence that the most unforgettable night of his life was apparently only a mistake for her? Are they destined to break up after all? A nice rendition of the “wedding in Vegas” trope that will have you cheer for the happy ending.

This is my first digital manga. I'm a fast reader of romances and I wanted to try something different, something out of my comfort zone, so I picked this manga because I liked the premise and the cover art. As like anything new that you try in life, it had its good parts and its not so good ones.

I will begin by saying that the art in this manga was very pretty. I have seen manga in the bookstores before and it's very subjective when it comes to the art but I liked the elegance of the tall characters and the lines of their faces. At the same time, I'm not in love with the thin, pretty girl type female characters like Gina, but that's just my own preference when it comes to body type and in this case, it was reminded to me often because I saw it in every page.

Gerrick is up for a promotion at his job so he goes with Gina to celebrate in Vegas. Both have been infatuated with each other for a while now, but none of them have made a move so far. They drink a little too much and they end up married to one another.

Without getting into details of the story to not spoil anyone, this is an "accidentally married" type of romance. I actually like this type of book so that pushed me to pick the manga up. That being said, it was a little too much cliche for me in some parts that it took from my overall enjoyment a little bit.

The argument between the characters was something that I could remember from books I've read in the past and it was just so overused or typical that I just end up annoyed.

What saved this story for me was the ending. I laughed so much. Gina's father reaction to knowing that Gerrick loved her and the fact that everyone around them knew about it but him, that was precious.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book provided by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are my own.

Here we are, number 8 of 16! Yep, I am slowly making my way through this manga, and so far I am enjoying myself. Yes, they aren't always good, yes, at times they are terrible, but I have found some wonderful stories with sweet romance and cute characters that you want to root for. I am hoping to find that in this one as well. The blurb (and the cover) look/sound fabulous. I am quite curious how much they had to drink that they got married in Vegas (given the girl has no clue about anything), and what kind of things they will go through before reaching their happy ending.

I love that, instead of what several other Harlequin manga do, we don't start with them waking up and married, instead we see that they are having a party to celebrate, and are going all out. Gina has a clear attraction for her boss, and I can also see that spark in him (which is later also confirmed when we see his POV on the situation, eep!).
Oh, and I can understand that she is hesitant to go into relationship (or show weakness) given her family, however I do think that her boss won't be that type to marry her or have sex with her because of this. But you never know, Harlequin stories love to throw random things at you.

Ah, we arrived at the moment of the blurb. Haha, she is slowly remembering some details, and I had such a laugh at her facial expression when she slowly figured out things. Man, girl, you had too much to drink. Way too much. I loved that she is remembering most details but the important one. Namely the marriage. Ohhhh. *snorts* Gina spots her underwear (thong) in one of the curtains: "Oh! What's it doing there?" Yeah, girl, I am wondering that as well, how hard did you guys rip off each other's clothes?

I do feel sorry that she can't remember. Such a big night, and she was totally off this world. :( She now feels quite insecure and is unsure what to do with this situation.

See, Harlequin stories love to throw stuff at us. Wow. We went from confused to sad in just a few pages. Poor Gina!

Aww! I am glad that they finally had the talk, that Gina told Gerrick that she doesn't remember, and I definitely loved his comment back to her. That is just the sweetest. I have high hopes for this couple, though we still have to go 80 pages... so there is a lot that can happen. I hope mostly good though. Sadly, so far I am pretty bored out of my mind. Sorry, nothing is happening and these characters just don't have the chat they need to have. Plus, they should just get together already and kiss. Come on! Both of them want it, and yes, I get that work is standing between them, but that apparently didn't stop you from having a drunk night out in Vegas. :( I did like that Gina finally took some more action and even wore that sexy dress to work. If talking won't work, and Gerrick is being unsure, just seduce him. :P Just like your daddy told you to do. Ah, finally some action! "Please, teach me that!" Oh my!

*sighs*But as expected, drama happens again. I was just so happy to see these two melt together, and now they are having a silly argument again. Please.

Gerrick, don't give that poor dad a heart attack! He just recovered from one! And I had a laugh that all of his family members knew what Gerrick was about to say, and were even wondering how he hadn't figured it out on his own. *snorts*

Happy ending time! I am glad that had this talk, but yeah, it is a bit annoying it took so long, I had so so hoped for way more cuteness and romance. Some sexy scenes.

But the art was certainly fabulous, I loved the expressions the characters had when something happened (like surprise or flustered).

And sure, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either. Still it had it's good moments and I still had fun reading it at points. Plus that art!

I really like manga romances. I read and review so many of them but this one was very disjointed and it is actually quite hard to understand the difficulties between the couple. They went to Vegas to celebrate a promotion, got very drunk, got very married but when they returned home it all went to pot.

In the story Gina doesn't really remember how she got drunk or married. Having read this book I dont remember either. There is a good story in here somewhere but I think the mangaka needs to do a bit more editing.

Gina and Gerrick flew to Vegas in celebration of Gerrick's promotion and move to Maine. After being co-workers for a long time, who would've thought they would be married by morning? But then again, you never know what can happen in Vegas!

This is the first time I've ever read a Harlequin Manga. I've read other mangas before but this was quite a bit different. The story line was ok and I read it in one sitting. The illustrations were impressive and quite expressive. However, it felt too rushed and thrown together for the sake of publishing something. There should have been more of a preamble/introduction and history about the two characters. It would've developed the characters a lot more and given me more of a chance to get to know them. There was a confusing whirlwind of emotions that drove me a bit crazy. On one page they were extremely happy and inlove, on the next page they were mad at eachother and breaking up. It was a rollercoaster of emotions that I would not want to ride again. It was too all over the place for my taste The story line definelty had potential, it just was not for me.
I will try and give the Harlequin Manga genre another chance...
