I absolutely adore everything Harlequin Manga has put out recently and The Bride Hunter was no different. These mangas take no time at all to read and I highly recommend them.

I just can't seem to get enough of the romance mangas. Love them. Love the artwork and love that they are adapted from some truly excellent stories. This one is no exception. Beautiful. Romantic. Captivating. And pardon the similar reviews for all the books. I'm catching up and have loved all of them.

Book title : The Bride Hunter: a Harlequin Manga

Author : Ann Major ; Illustrator : Motoyo Fujiwara

Release Date : 4 October 2018

Anna and Connor met on their way to Vegas. They went to gamble a little bit and things went out of control as they ended up marrying one and another and well..making love! In their after-making-love-session, Connor invited Anna to come with him to Texas and met his family. Before he fell asleep, a name came out of his name...Rebecca...causing a huge mess and misunderstanding between them. Anna then decided to leave Connor and completely disappeared from Connor's life. She did not know that she's pregnant with Con's baby. However, fate finally brought them together and that's how the story who has just begun started to find its light. Anna was actually Rebecca, a daughter of one of "the have" who was kidnapped when she was a kid. Ah, the rest of the story is something that you need to read yourself. I am not going to spoil it here.

I know that the ending of the story is predictable yet the manga is presented and illustrated beautifully. It is definitely a manga that offers sweet romance and a good one to read.

The Bride Hunter was a sweet story with an interesting if albeit confusing premise. It starts off very quickly so it felt a little disjointed until I got through the middle, and then the pieces started falling into place. The heroine seemed a little flighty, and I am not sure I necessarily found her as believable as I wanted her to be. However, she did have my sympathy, which was certainly a plus. It did build a momentum that allowed me to speed through this story in less than 30 mins, and would be a fun alternative to reading a small Harlequin romance, especially for those who enjoy reading romance books and graphic novels.

Anna has a troubled past. A former boyfriend stalked her to the point of having her flee to Las Vegas where she ends up marrying the talkative, easy-going handsome cowboy that happened to be seated next to her on the plane. But what if he had pushed his luck and destiny had been manipulated? What if he is in fact a private investigator? And who hired his services? Her stalker or someone Anna did not even know exist? And what if he hadn’t faked his love for her after all? A romance that is a hell of a ride, and a beautiful story for you to one-click buy!

This was alright. The art was good but it felt rushed and the character development was very sudden. I wish it had more emotional depth but that might be asking for too much. Would recommend if you are a fan of the amnesia trope but probably won't recommend this otherwise. It was readable but not especially enjoyable.

Yup, 2 Harlequin Manga on 1 day! I couldn't resist this one any longer, the cover just looks amazing and while I do have some doubts here and there about the blurb, I am also curious to see how things will go and if both characters find happiness.

This manga starts with how Anna and Connor got married at Las Vegas. Yup, it was a fast flirting and marriage kind of thing, but I do have to say I saw the spark between them and I was delighted with their dates. Though I do wonder if they were completely sober when they got hitched. :P

Ah, Anna tells Connor what happened to her ex and why she ran away. I am happy that she doesn't keep that sitting between her and Connor like how other Harlequin Manga do. I am kind of curious why Connor looks so guilty when Anna started about the PI, is he the PI? Or does he know more? Mmmmm.

Connor: "I'll protect you. I'll watch out for you, Anna. I will protect you from all of your worries." Awwww! That is adorable, but I do have my reservations given that this is just page 14 of 128.

Oh my, things are starting now. What is going on with the name Rebecca? Why doesn't Anna know more about her past? What I said before, is Connor a PI? But is he hired for Anna's past or for Anna's creepy ex boyfriend? I am kind of leaning towards Anna's past, given certain things. My questions are answered just a few pages later, and I am happy that the story is moving at this pace. Though I am not sure how I felt about her doing all that causing him to magically lose that. Mmmmm. Good pace, but the story has some big holes.

After the guy just throws her on the bed and holds her down. "You are still my wife.. and this is my house. You need to remember that." Ending with that he doesn't do anything but it still creeped me out. I get he is pissed that she ran off, had a baby, and didn't tell him anything, but this is just nope.

But I do like seeing both of them together, they are quite sweet together and I love the easy trust between them, that is not something many will achieve in so little time together. Also I love finding out more about both these characters, and I love how sweet and caring Connor is. How he tries to help her, to make her stronger, more self-reliant.

Holy crap at the story about Anna/Rebecca's past. Dang. That is one big stinky mess.

Anna/Rebecca, please. I get that it is all sooo much, but you can't keep running away. Think of your child and what kind of image that gives. A mom who, when things get tough and heavy, runs away? Do you want that to be something she remembers her mom by?

I love how Anna/Rebecca's hair seem to magically grow and shrink with each panel. At times she has hair over her butt, other times it just reaches the end of her back, then just a bit over her butt, and wow wavy long hair again. :P

Whoop, for once I don't mind the drama that always hits at the later point of the story. Because this time we see some actual drama and development that feels right. Not just shitty added drama, but instead good drama.

Awww, that ending, it made me sniffle and tear up. It was just the perfect ending for this story.

All in all, a wonderful story/manga, I really loved reading it.

Great artwork but the drama in this story was just too overdone. I like my romances to be realistic and this one was just far too dramatic for me.
