I absolutely adore everything Harlequin Manga has put out recently and The Redemption of Darius Sterne was no different. These mangas take no time at all to read and I highly recommend them.

I just can't seem to get enough of the romance mangas. Love them. Love the artwork and love that they are adapted from some truly excellent stories. This one is no exception. Beautiful. Romantic. Captivating. And pardon the similar reviews for all the books. I'm catching up and have loved all of them.

Miranda's career as a ballerina came to an end after the big incident in her life. Her life has changed when the sexy billionaire Darius Sterne asked her out. The secret was: Miranda has never been with anyone else because she was afraid of intimacy. She did not want others to look at her scars and feeling sorry for her. Yet she decided to give a chance to our hero. Huge mistake! because she started to tremble when Darius kissed her. That, ladies and gentlemen is when both characters start to challenge each other and test their feeling.

As it comes to the artwork, I do not have a complain about it. Everything is portrayed and illustrated beautifully...a sweet romance in a beautiful manga version.

The Redemption of Darius Sterne was hard to make head or tails of because I don't really feel like the story is about redeeming Darius, it's more about Miranda Jacobs and her ballet career...and then falling in love in between. It's quick and the artwork was pretty, but I didn't feel attached to either character. Which was a shame because I did want to like them. This was a story I read in less than thirty minutes, and in comparison with the other two I reviewed, I didn't love it as much. The story was interesting but the characters fell flat.

Two people with scars who fall for each other but are not sure if they are meant to be.

I liked the cover and the artwork was very well done too.

More than the redemption of Darius Sterne, this is the redemption of a young woman who survives a wicked incident and manages to rebuild her life. She only lacks trust in her ability to dance again, but Darius sees through her fears and helps her overcome them. Too bad this urban rake falls in love with his protegé in the process… Beautiful romance, I Whole-heartedly recommend it.

What a romantic and pretty story.

I loved the face of the main characters. Beautiful, yes, but also unique. Darius is successful and has a dark demeanor, a heavy past burdens him. Yet he's besotted when he meets former ballerina Andy. She's innocent and young, but carries within her all the pain of injuries and failure.

I think this is a sweet and lovely romance with characters who learn to let go of traumas and embrace the chance to love and be loved. They offer a new light to each other in various ways, and it was all really charming and heart-warming, although their troubles were quite hard.

The art is airy, light and eye-pleasing, though when the faces were small in secondary panels instead of close-ups they looked childish and out of sorts.

Darius is broody and Andy is afraid, but they both learn to be stronger thanks to the influence of the other, and the ending is very romantic. I enjoyed it a lot.

I received this manga from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

Crossing my fingers that this one turns out better than the last Harlequin Manga I read. Full of bad situations and big no nos. And this one sounds pretty sweet. A girl who used to do ballet, but due to an accident can't any more gets asked out by a sweet billionaire for a date. Mm. I can't wait.

Sorry to come off as rude or mean, but I had expected a bigger accident then her toppling over on stage? Or did she fall off the stage? It isn't clear to me. The blurb made it seem it was a BIG accident (which also left her full of scars), but I just see her make a tiny tumble. I am guessing there is more to it then. On page 24 now, and we get a closer look to the fall, it seems she did fall off stage which caused her to break several bones. I still have questions, but I am not sure if we will get more answers. But yes we do, and holy crap I was just so pissed! I won't spoil anything, but hot dang, I had my suspicions, but holy.

Haha, the twins (Darius and his brother) pop in the restaurant and all the women swoon. Which causes the husband of one of them to say this: "Hello? Your husband is right here." And her back: "Oh. You know how much I love you, right?" and then explaining that no one can just resist herself stopping to look at Xander. *snorts*

Ohhh, our MC is smitten by Darius, the darkness of the twins. "What would it feel like to put a smile on that face and warmth in those beautiful topaz eyes."

Darius, that is just not the way to flirt with girls. Getting angry at her, making remarks. Dude, seriously? I get that he is probably trying to get more out of her as she is quite closed off, but still, there are better ways.
Oh my, I hadn't expected him to have seen her tumble.

I am glad that she was able to say no to him, for now at least, his attitude was quite rude at times, and I can imagine Miranda has her doubts about him given all those rumours. Then again, it is also just dinner. Then again (yes, I keep repeating myself) she knows she is attracted to him and is unsure if she can hold herself back.

Haha, that one panel of him lying in bed with a pillow over his head as he tried to get Miranda out of his head was hilarious. Though I am not too happy that all he wants is have sex with her. Dude, I am not sure if you know how this works, but I can guarantee you that she will stay in your head even after sex (and yes, I was right). Even though you are quite eh, I do see a connection forming between the two of you.
Really? Am I the only one who isn't into these forced kisses that Harlequin (Manga) are so fond of? I just don't get the appeal. To me it just seems rude.

But oh well, he got his date. And while Miranda is all tough and saying she won't do another date, we the readers know that these two are going to have a happy ending. Somehow.

Oh, but I am slowly starting to root for these characters, about time, we are now on page 75. I loved that one sexy scene with him unwrapping her top (convenient), and I love how sweet he is towards her. He can be a sweetie I guess. I am glad that Miranda can see the humour in what those two people said to her, and even imagined her sister being there to rage quit on those who talk mean about her sister. :P

Awww, I was just crying when they finally had sex, how she was hesitant to show him her legs due to the scarring (she needed several surgeries for her legs), but he was just the absolute sweetest about it. "No. They're part of who you are. They show you are a warrior. They prove you overcame hardship. You are beautiful, Miranda. Every bit of you is beautiful." Awwwwwwwwwwwwww!

I am also happy that we get some more backstory on Darius' past and what happened there. Why his family is so complicated and why they are arguing so much.

And that ending had me crying some more. That was just pure beauty. A wonderful ending to a pretty wonderful manga. I am happy I had the chance to read this one. Wow. Definitely would recommend this one. Also I just adore the art, how pretty the characters were and how well the artist captured the love between these characters.

This is such a lovely story and just how a romance should be!

The best manga romances are the ones that make you want to read the print version and I bought the print version of this story before I even finished the manga version!

This is going on my list of exquisite reads of 2019.

I really enjoyed the characters. Both Miranda and Darius were feisty and strong willed, but both of them had secret, hidden vulnerabilities. I really liked the way Darius was so clear and decisive about what he wanted and he did all he could to convince Miranda. Miranda was well able to stand up for herself and yet she recognised love when it came calling. No dithering about or unnecessary angst. Both characters had challenges from their past to overcome and they did so with courage.

The story has a very rich supporting cast of secondary characters which made the story enjoyable especially the way Darius interacted with his mother and his brother. I now want to read Xander's story in print and in manga format.

The best part of the story was the dialogue between the characters which made me laugh out loud a few times.

And of course the artwork was clear and well drawn bringing the characters to life in a way that is memorable and engages the reader. I definitely wont forget this manga and I shall definitely read the print versions!

Really old Fashion....but if you like Carol Mortimer. In my opinion IT was just too much eighties.

Veramente fuori moda e molto Anni '80.

Thanks Netgalley for the Preview!

I really enjoyed reading this one. There was everything that I can look in the manga mixed with romance. Intriguing characters, the plot (yes there is one), romance, secrets that are unrevealed slowly and turning points!
I hope more mangas will be like that - fast read with so much pleasure!
