I must confess I wasn’t able to finish reading this book before my window of opportunity to view it was closed. I did however get far enough into it to get a good feel for what the book is like.
I did find myself having to change some words as I read to fit my child’s comprehension level better, and I had to explain some parts. In my opinion, the target age would be better set for 5 and up (Description says 3-7). This book has really beautiful pictures...but my kids would have liked more! It has really applicable topics for young children and is a good discussion starter. I did however feel that sometimes application from verse is a bit of a stretch.
Overall I would recommend this book to mamas wanting to spiritually connect with their kids as it provides a very quick and easy way to get spiritual truths into the hearts of little ones, no matter how busy your life might feel!

Time with my girl seems to go so fast. Topics pile up. Questions still poping. Sweet Mornings, and late nights we stay together reading by ourselves or together, this book is full of small opportunities to talk about God and his attributes, it is a lovely way to know more about Him and trust Him.

Thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to review this book for my honest opinion. This is a great little devotional book for little ones. The topics are all age appropriate and the illustrations are engaging. I like the sections for each devotional to talk about it, read about it and pray about it. Each section gives an opportunity for discussion and for my 4 year-old and 7 year old, it's a great way to really find out where they are clear and where they have questions about the Christian faith.

This devotion is meant to be done together with your young children ages 3 to 7. Each day mother and child learn something new about about God and his relationship with you. Starting with a verse and a conversation that is titled "Talk About It", a question and "Read About It" and ending with "Pray About It".

The devotion covers many attributes about God but also about his will for your life. It is a great way for mom to discuss biblical insights, discover insights on your own, and together respond in unity how that looks in how you make decisions, respond to others, and most important worship. A great bed time ritual to end your day and memories to keep for a life time.

A Special Thank you to Barbour Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review

3 Minute Devotions for Mommy and Me by Stacey Thureen is a wonderful book for young children and their parents. I read this book with my son and he loved it. The devotions are the perfect length to read just before bed. Although if your child is like mine, you'll probably end up reading more than one! I highly recommend it. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

This book is sweet. The devotionals are sweet and simple, written in a very conversational manner. A prayer is also included, however I didn't read those out loud with my girls, opting to pray on our own instead.

Stacey Thureen has a heart for mommies, and I enjoyed reviewing her book for moms-to-be. That’s why I was happy to review this sweet devotional for moms and children ages 3 to 7. The colorful illustrations will draw children into the story. The selected verse, devotion, and prayer are all tailored for short attention spans. In each devotion, a heading simply states, “Talk about it,” which encourages interaction between moms and children. In fact, it’s placed first after the verse, to foster discussion and connection before you read the devotion together. I think this is a wise approach to keep a young child interested.

I received a preview copy of 3-Minute Devotions for Mommy and Me from Netgalley.

I felt this devotional was advanced for the age it was designed for. While the concepts were very simple, the words and questions seemed well beyond that of a 3-7 year old. I felt the devotional was dry and not one I'd use with my own littles.

This is a great devotional book for the busiest mom. It doesn't take long to do the devotional with your child and it has some very good lessons and things to think on.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.

I was able to read Here, 3-minute devotions for mommy and me for free from Netgalley, thank you t0 Barbour Publishing via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book.
This book is perfect. It will encourage mom & child to learn to spend time with God.
The book shows how much God loves us, listens to us, answer prayers and how he teaches us that he is here with us when we use the Bible and apply it everyday.
I think this book is perfect for bed time reading. It is broken into three parts, talk about it, read about it and pray about it. I recommend it to any mom looking for a daily devotional specially a bedtime devotional.

This book gives practical and relatable reminders about how much God loves us and how we can take what the Bible says and apply it to our daily lives. I will be using this with my boys, specifically for my son who is in elementary school.

I really liked the idea of this book. However, formatting for me was terribly difficult. I just couldn't get used to it, perhaps it was only the device I was using. But it's definitely one that I'd love to see in paperback.

Mommy and Me is a devotional written to enrich the relationship between your toddler and God. Each devotional draws connections from real life e.g. making too much noise in the car while mommy is driving, helping at home, and trouble with friends or hurt feelings. I liked that each devotional began with a Bible verse relevant to the lesson, had a section for the parent and child to discuss the issue before reading about it. The day’s prayer reinforces each day’s topic.

3-Minute Devotions for Mommy and Me covered the basic truths of Christianity such as:
• God loves us
• He hears and listens to us
• He answers prayers
• He teaches us
• Jesus died for our sins

Children are encouraged to read their Bible, pray and pursue a friendship with God. Some of the devotions contain material which could lead to deeper discussions thus strengthening the child’s bond with their mother.

Ms. Thureen was not afraid to approach more challenging topics such as:
• Our commission to preach, teach and make disciples
• That there is one true God
• God is a spirit
• Using our spiritual gifts
• The character of God
• Being equipped for spiritual warfare

Each topic was handled in a way that would be easy for a child to assimilate, and to make it even better the illustrations are beautiful, colorful and appealing.

Thanks to Net Galley for an advanced reader copy.

Being a mommy is one of the greatest gifts one can receive. From the moment you get confirmation, your life will never be the same. I enjoyed reading to my children while carrying them in the womb. When my daughter was born, my voice was the only voice that soothed her when she drew her first breath. It was an amazing moment. As my children grew I continued reading from a children's Bible. I would have loved sharing this devotion with them. Each devotion contains a Talk About It, Read About It, and Pray About It section. It is just the right length to hold your toddler's attention. I recommend it to any mom looking for a morning or bedtime devotional.

3-Minute Devotions for Mommy and Me is a wonderful way to teach your young child (ages 3-7) about the bible and Jesus Christ. It is for Christian families to read together daily, or each night. The set up of the book gives a psalm or bible passage, advice to talk through what that means, reading about it, and a suggestion for a prayer for each entry. Each "Talk About It" example gives a real way to connect with your child. "What would you like to be when you grow up?" and "What were the things you did today that may have caused someone to feel sad or disappointed". Even the difficult questions help young children navigate their feelings through their behaviors that may have negatively impacted someone else - but the prayers will help accept what the child did wrong and even ask forgiveness. There are topics on the Earth, feelings, fears, and what it is like to be young.

As a teacher in a public school I would not read this or buy it for my classroom but with my young children at home, I think it could be a great way to connect with Jesus and reinforce the things we believe it with our Christian religion. I will definitely be recommending this book to my Christian friends who have religion as a big part of their lives. Even taking the religion out, the questions foster a social-emotional bond with the child in your life. I can even see myself asking these questions to my 2 older elementary children. Great conversation starters and approaches on tough topics. The set up is perfect for a daily reading and very easily connect each part to a young child's life.

3-Minute Devotions for Mommy and Me is an excellent resource for parents to use with their young children to help foster a love and appreciation for the beautiful words of the Bible. Stacey Thureen created a reader friendly book that uses colorful illustrations to accompany verses from the Bible. She included questions for parents to ask their children in order to foster discussion, such as "What makes a good friend?" which go along with the Bible verses selected. There are sections for the parents to read to their children that relate the verses from the Bible to their everyday life in a way that young children can understand. I also liked the prayers that were included for the children to use in their own prayers to God. They were written in a simple way and used words that children that age would say.

The book is recommended for ages 3-7. As a parent to a 5 year old and a 3 year old, I will say that this book was perfect to use with my 5 year old. My 3 year old was a little on the younger side for the book but she loved feeling "grown-up" getting to pray with her older brother and answering the discussion questions. If the book had more illustrations, that would further interest the younger children (especially the 3 year olds) and hold their attention better. This is a resource that I will continue using with my children. I definitely recommend this book!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing through NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

3-Minute Devotions For Mommy and Me is a perfect devotional for parents and young children. I love how it was broken up into distinct parts each day: verse, talk about it, read about it and pay about it. It made the devotions easy to read, interactive and engaging. I would use this with my own kids and purchase as a gift for other young families.

I love the illustration! The text is short and on point! The thematic is one that interests children of different ages. I wish it had more pictures, but overall it is a great book for bedtime reading!
