This book was so GOOD!
I loved V & Claire together. They complimented one another very well.
I loved the chemistry and the build up.
This is a must read!
My absolute favorite part was dating blogs! I looked forward to them in between chapters. They were beyond relatable!

The only downer is that we don't get the complete closure we seek, because this is a series..

So I can't wait until the next book to see what happens!

Another fantastic fantastic book. I'm just loving this series and waiting impatiently for the next one. It's getting near the business end of this series now and I can't wait to see how it falls out 😍😱😍

I received an arc copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley for my honest review. This is a continuation of the Dragon Kings saga. V has been around Claire for a while as she is the best friend of one of the other dragon mates. There has been attraction on both parts but V is troubled about his past and doesn’t think he needs a relationship, however the attraction could not be denied and boy was their heat fiery. Not only does this story show how their relationship grows but continues with the underlying story of how to defeat Usaeil ( the bad guy). I really enjoyed both V and Claire individually and as a couple and there are many familiar faces from the other Dragon Kings which is nice. The only thing was the ending is a bit of a cliffhanger but only because these books seamlessly run together. If you’ve read he previous books it’s a great continuation to the story line. If this book is new for you you’ll still be able to enjoy the relationship of V and Claire you just might not understand some of the underlying plot in the series although the author does a good job trying to fill you in on what happened previously. I recommend this book.5 stars

Claire may possess the beauty and soul of a goddess but V knows better than to mess with a mere mortal. Still, he instinctively knows that Claire is The One who can help him regain the use of his sword and restore his place at Dreagan. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Donna Grant is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book.

Absolutely love this series. There are so many dimensions to the characters and interactions that you can't help being drawn in. I can't wait for the next book.

Claire has the worst luck with men! She loves her new life with Sophie and the others at Dreagen but she really feels horrible about lying to them. She remembers everything that happened when the Dark Fae took her over, she doesn't want the Dragon Kings to wipe her memory. They are her memories, for good or bad, dammit!

Vlad, aka V, has not been awake as long as some of his brethren and as such he feels very disconnected from this confusing new world. But watching Claire has been the highlight of his days lately. But he has every intention of going back to his mountain and hibernating again. If only he could get his damn sword to work!!

I struggled a bit with Claire, just because she initially came over as so desperate for a man! I'm all for companionship but she most likely gave off the desperation vibes, making it even less likely that she'd find her "One". But eventually, I loved her!

There is a whole lot going on in this one book between Claire and V, Rhi and Queen Usaiel, aka Ubitch (loved that!) There is also still the mysterious dating column, which has all the mates abuzzing.

I was a bit miffed with the partial cliffhanger (I hate them!) but it will keep things nice and tense for the next book. I also need to know that Henry is going to get a HEA. The poor lamb is a might left out at the moment and really struggling to find his place in this big, extended and ever so slightly dysfunctional family!

My only bone of contention is language and dialect. I am Scottish so always feel a bit miffed when the dialect is all wrong in my head. The DK's can get away with a bit due to being ancient and from various places and now residing in the Highlands. But when a character like Claire is supposed to be Scottish then please, please note that its Whiskey, not Scotch and Trousers not pants and Mum not mom. Those wee slips really annoy me out my everloving mind LOL!

I loved Claire and Vlad! They were...well, adorably cute is the best description I can think of! Claire has had the worst dating luck while Vlad has been in literal hibernation. I loved how open they were with one another because they took a huge plunge baring themselves and their vulnerabilities. In doing so, they also cemented a tangible emotional bond developing between them.

Battle-wise, things are heating up and leading to war between the Dragon Kings, Rhi, Balladyn and the Dark Dae against the Light Fae and their Queen Usaiel-who is one loony toon ruler... Don’t let any of this deter you from reading the book, because Grant summarizes everything up to this point in a nicely done conversation between Vlad and Claire...conveniently giving me a refresher too!

This series is long running, but I never tire of the world Donna Grant has built! The politics, the characters, the family and friends, and the romances...there’s never a dull moment! Each story primarily focuses on a specific couple and their developing relationship, while a secondary arc occurs over multiple books before reaching its climax (no pun intended :P) right as another storyline crops up. I’ve missed a couple of books previous to this one and had no issues jumping in with Claire and Vlad’s story.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book from St. Martin’s Press and Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh My Fae Freaking Dragon Flying Goddess! From start to finish was total enrapture! Twist and twist and turn when you least expect it. Love, hatred, adventure, completeness! Donna doesn't Disappoint! V gets his due and another great gal gets her Dragon but the question is, do they survive it!

Claire is a human who knows about the Dragon Kings but keeps it to herself so her memories won’t be erased. She has been looking for her other half or soulmate but continues to find dud after dud. V or Vlad is the Dragon King of the Coppers. He has slept for many years and awoken to look for his sword that can bring all the dragons home. But it is not responding to him and he fears it never will. Deep in his heart he knows Claire is his mate but refuses to admit it. He plans to go back to his mountain but the more time he spends with Claire, he can feel his sword calling to him. He doesn’t want to bring her into his world but then he finds out she’s known about them all along he brings her to Dreagan. The Kings are about to go to war to help take down the evil Light Fae Queen and it will take them and all their allies to do it.
I absolutely couldn’t put this book down. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Sexy dragons, evil queens, and love for eternity. Sex and angst.

V is just a softie when he's with his woman, "Claire put her hand on his jaw and stared into his eyes. “I like how you say things like that.” I liked that Claire had some confidence in her, "he shrugged. “Eat what you want. I’ll finish the rest.” Claire saw the way he looked at her, so she decided to remain nude as she sank into a chair and took a long drink of orange juice." I liked this book, I liked V.
