What a great read! This is my first by the author and I was unaware of the ones before this. I'm super excited to read them now! This book is about never giving up even in the darkest of times. Such an amazing love story of two souls that fell in love during WW2. Very emotional read and I was drawn in immediately! Loved their story! I can't wait to start reading the others!! Always a pleasure to read a novel by Ava Miles, I wasn't disappointed with this story of love and sacrifice. Miles continues to write characters that draw is into whatever story she is weaving so that we think of them long after the book has closed.

This was the first book that I have read in the series but it didn’t seem to matter. Ava Miles is a master of her craft. Her books always move me and this was no exception. I loved reading it. It was written well and the characters were so developed and real that I felt like I knew them personally.
An excellent read.

I absolutely adored this book!

Noah and Anna's chemistry is undeniable and I loved them both so much. Anna's moxie and Noah's demeanour fit in with each other perfectly.

This book tells the tale of sacrifice, true love and fighting the odds. Both character's struggles were heartbreaking in their own ways.

An emotional read that will stay with you

This is a story of how strong true love can be.
This isn't a genre I normally read, but the author managed to pull me in from the first page and left me begging for more by the last page.
More than once, I found myself swiping at tears and holding my breath.
