Liv is very impulsive, Caleb is a stick in the mud, and her brother's best friend and practically part of the family. Liv asks Caleb to be her fake boyfriend for a family wedding because of her tattoo and all the things happen. This has my favorite tropes - fake dating, and all the friends to lovers stuff. Plus there was character growth. I couldn't have been happier with this one.

Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a good, funny romance novel. Liv is your typical diamond in the rough, always getting in trouble and speaking her mind. Caleb is her brothers best friend and a straight shooter, cop. Due to his difficult childhood, he makes sure he stays in control of his emotions but the one thing he can't control is the one thing he desires the most: Liv. When he has to play her fake boyfriend, their feelings for each really blossom and Caleb finally allows his wild side out to play.
The only thing that bothered me about this novel is the way Liv is constantly put down by her family and friends. They kept on bringing up the fact that she was wild and irresponsible and only respected her when she got with Caleb. Just felt Liv couldn't truly be herself without Caleb.
Other than that it was good novel.

Olivia the perpetual screwup is trying to start her own fashion line. To secure a loan from her parents she fakes a relationship with her brothers bestie, Caleb. A man she’s had a crush on since she was in 10th grade.

Caleb, recently promoted to detective, has a lot of issues stemming from his awful upbringing. He thinks he needs a woman like him: steady and boring but his fake relationship with Liv turns real when she ignites a passion within him.

It was a pretty good story. Not great, not horrible. But good.
