Unfortunately this book was archived before I was even able to download it. However, it was only after requqesting that I realized this is the third book in teh series, which I hadn't even started.

I loved Raging Sea for it's characters and the attempt at historic accurate portrayal of life, politics and battle.

The legend surrounding Arthur Pendragon is one of my all-time favorite reads and I love it when writers try and research the supposed time period of his reign. At that, Headlee is - at least for me - one of the best.
There is so much detail and her portrayal of Caledonian and Roman customs and the way she writes battle scenes is really fantastic. She also writes strong and fierce women who still have a female touch.

Overall, I greatly enjoyed this third book of Headlee's The Dragon's Dove chronicles, even when the focus was more on Angusel's storyline than Arthur's and Gyan's. I also recommend to read book one and two first to better follow the events that take place and also to get a better feel for Angusel and all that he went through.
He is a tragic and well crafted hero and to see his development in this book was a truly great journey.

Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.
