This book is a sneak peak into the world of the wives of the Sports world. This book begins with Mary Wulf who is married to Gary Wulf, the current right fielder for the New York Mets. She is confessing to us in the first chapter that she is in love with her husband’s agent. That sort of complicates things. Mary is about to host a party, the annual meeting of the Sports Wives. This was an eclectic group of wives with husbands that work in teams all over. Each woman has their own fun personality that makes this book so much fun!
I really enjoyed this book. There are so many laughable moments.

I struggled to get into Sports Wives at first. As the story went on I did enjoy it. If you enjoyed The Secret Lives of Super Hero Wives and sports you will probably enjoy this.

First, thanks to #NetGalley for the opportunity to read an e-galley of this book.

Mary Wulf, wife of baseball player, Gary Wulf, has invited her four closest friends to her Connecticut home for a "girls time" getaway. Some know each other, and some don't, but they all love Mary, and Mary loves them.

They all share things with each other that they really didn't plan on sharing, but that's what friends are for, right?

Mary Wulf is married to professional baseball player, Gary Wulf. She and Gary have been drifting apart, and she has been having an affair with his agent, David Rowe. She arranges a weekend get together with her friends and fellow sports wives and during the weekend she is planning to tell them she is in love with David and wants to end her marriage to Gary. Meanwhile, the other wives may be hiding secrets of their own. This is story about female empowerment. It is about women taking charge of their lives. It is also about female bonding. It is about a group of women who come together and support each other instead of tearing each other down. This is a welcome change from the usual stories about groups of woman which involve a lot of cattiness and women against each other instead of in support of one another. The women in this story just happen to be the wives of celebrated athletes but they could be any group of women. If you like books with a definitive ending, you may be a little disappointed. However, the book is still worth reading for its exemplary treatment of the friendship between these women.

Too much money and not enough to do or bored with your life. Not relatable to me or wives I know. Maybe I I just wish it was my life but not in the mood for whinners.

This book was extremely charming and relatable. It was a different insight on women and relationships, it was nice to find that those you think may have the perfect life, may just be as well struggling as your average day couple. There were some points where it was hard to understand who was saying or thinking what. But other than that this was an easy to read chit lit book!

I really liked this book! Each woman brought humor and strength to the table and I enjoyed the open and candid conversations. It reminds me of my own friends and when you realize you are more like sisters.
