This is the third book in the Sterling's Montana series. What a great addition it the series! This story had just the right amount of romance and suspense. I didn't guess who the killer was, it was a surprise to me! Very enjoyable!

Another great addition to the series. Compelling story line, engaging characters. The killer really surprised me this time. I was wondering who did it until the end when it was finally revealed. I would highly recommend this author as well as this series.

A terrific conclusion to the series, this book like the previous ones, has wonderful characters, and a riveting plot. Ariel Matheson, school bully, disappeared ten years ago, after she left their high school graduation party. Everyone assumed she had taken off in a fit of rage, especially since her father was going to jail, but on Lizzie Conners first day as sheriff, her body is found in her car at the bottom of a pond at the edge of the Sterling Ranch. With their 10th year graduation reunion coming up, was the body found by coincidence or design? Lizzie and Shade Sterling had kissed the night of the party, but both felt guilty after Ariel disappeared, even though Ariel and Shade had broken up months before. Ever since, their timing was never right, but now Shade wants to at least date Lizzie. However, he is one of her suspects, as are the entire members of their class. Everyone has secrets, including Lizzie, which she didn't even know about. And another complication show up in town. This is a page-turning, hard to put down mystery/romance with lots of twists and turns. In some ways it reminded me of And Then There Were None by writer Agatha Christie.
I received a free ARC from NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Shade and Lizzy have had chemistry since hi9h school. Too bad their mutual enemy, Ariel, still is involved. While love should bloom, Ariel's murder investigation threatens to ruin their chemistry as well as Shade's freedom.

I love romantic suspense and this one is a good one. Shade and Lizzy have a complicated past and now we are finding out their future could be complicated also.. Is Shade guilty, only time will tell. The book is full of twists and turns, for those that love B. J. Daniels books this is another winner.

Lizzy is the new Sheriff in town. On her very first day, a car is found in a pond. A classmate, Ariel, had went missing ten years ago and come to find out she was tied to the steering wheel and the car pushed into the pond. Shade is a rancher and has liked Lizzy since their senior year but life kept getting in the way. Now that Ariel has been discovered it’s time to move on and he wants Lizzy. But first she has to find out who killed Ariel and with the ten year reunion coming up, it’ll be the perfect time to question everyone. Will the all survive the reunion or will the killer get their revenge? This is one nail biter of a story. Suspense, action, and mystery. One if the best suspenseful stories I have read in a while. Totally shocked and on the edge of my seat the whole time. * Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley *

This book kept me guessing to the very end. Just when I thought I figured out who was behind everything, I would have to change my theory. Just His Luck is a great read for those who love suspense, intrigue, and a little romance.

I cannot wait for BJ Daniels fans to be able to read this book...So good! The author always manages to write a sexy cowboy romance with a fantastic knack for creating her characters and the storylines that bolster the rromance aspect of the book. Its 5 stars from me because I not only love BJ Daniels books, but couldn't put Just His Luck down...

I was anticipating the final story in the Sterling Montana series although not much was revealed about Spade in the first two books, we were introduced to Lizzy in the second story. It can be read as a standalone book.
She's elected sheriff after Sid retired and is recuperating from a hit and run accident. Approaching her 10th HS reunion and her first day on the job, a body is found in a car at the bottom of a pond. The hands appear to have been attached to the steering wheel with role and DNA identifies it as a schoolmates who disappeared on graduation night. Now the reunion takes on a different spin as a memorial.
Shade dated the deceased and Lizzy was a close friend. They went to a small private school so all classmates are suspects. The murder and suspense occur shortly after the classmates father at Shade's family's isolated guest ranch. The deceased appears in the story narration which takes some getting used to. I actually found it distracting and disruptive to the story.
As usual, there is a twist to the story and it makes for a surprising ending. I would have given it 5stars except for the deceased narrative.
I received a free ARC eBook from the publisher Harlequin Intrigue and Net Galley for my honest review.

Great weekend read! High school is such an integral part of life and moving in can be difficult in light of how we are perceived. Lizzy is such a great character! Loved how the past and present met and the suspense. Couldn’t put it down!
