This had a good start and mystery but the end was a bit predictable.
I really liked Susan as a character. I would definitely read another book with her in it. I am not sure however about how I feel that mental illness was presented.

This was such an interesting thriller. I was hooked from the very beginning of the story and did not see the twist coming. This had a fantastic story line and with all the twists and turns it really had me questioning who did it and I could not figure it out. I ended up listening to the audio book of this story and it was fantastic. I have not read any other books by this author but, will now go back and read his first one.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.

Wow. I felt I hadn't read a well-written surprising thriller in a while, and this story was just that! This is my first of Farrell's books and definitely won't be my last!

Thank you to NetGalley for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC of I Know Everything by Matthew Farrell.

When Randall's beloved wife dies in a car accident, he is devastated. He becomes even more devastated when he learns that he's quickly become the top suspect. How could be commit murder, when as a psychologist he's committed his life to helping others. But Randall does have secrets, so did his wife...

Overall enjoyable, but also a bit messy. There was nothing about it that really stood out or caught any serious interest. Plus, some of the "twists" used were tired.

A complex, twisted story, cleverly written, well paced and an enthralling read.

The book opens with a psychiatry session where the patient discusses his violent fantasy. Horrific and disturbing, we don't know if this is true or in the patient's mind. That sets the theme for the whole story: what is real and what is in the imagination.

When the psychiatrist's wife dies in a road incident the police are called in to investigate and the leading police officer becomes the other central character. So the story has two perspectives, one logical and straightforward, the other, not so much.

The psychological aspects are fascinating. There is sympathy and warmth for the psychiatrist as he tries to deal with his horrific past and the current mourning for his wife, and this is expressed eloquently. This is not a goody versus baddie type of book.

This is an intelligent, structured story that demonstrates horror without gore or sensationalism. I was riveted from start to finish. Excellent read.

What an absolutely great book! I must admit that this is the first book I have read by this author but it definitely won’t be the last.
The story is compelling and the action is nonstop so I finished the book in one day which is always disappointing because you just want to keep reading.
Susan Adler is a police investigator with the New York State police who is investigating the death of an extremely rich woman who is married to psychiatrist Randall Brock who is plagued with a disturbing past.
The characters are well developed and the main players are if not likable at least so interesting that you care about them.
I didn’t know there was a previous book in this series until I read some reviews that mentioned this fact. The book definitely reads as a stand-alone but I will still go back and read the previous book.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did, but I found it very addictive. This book was very well written and I loved the author's writing style.

Three things I loved:
1. The characters were easy to connect with and I found myself invested in their outcome.
2. The ending was able to surprise me even though I usually figure out the twists.
3. It was an interesting and intriguing thriller that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time while reading along. I couldn't put it down.

I highly recommend this to those who enjoy psychological thrillers.

This is the second book in the series, but I use the word series lightly. The light thread that joins one with the other is only apparent in the very end, which makes this almost a standalone-almost.

It was a very satisfying thriller. I have had a hard time enjoying popular thrillers of late because of some reason or another. This one checked quite a few of the right boxes. The prologue is vague and hints at a horrific scene which is only described almost halfway through the narrative. There is an unexpected accident on a winding road which looks more suspicious on closer examination. Susan Adler is the lead investigator on the case. She has the respect of her team, subordinates and her family, but she is juggling a lot of things, and this case is making her mind jumpy. There are a lot of twists, small ones but strong enough to add to the ambience and the story itself. It can even make you second guess your biases as the tale progresses. The mind games and the actual evil wrapped within the tale were also complicated.

I do not want to talk of any characters or the storyline lest my words provide spoilers to the discerning eye. I recommend this book and to get a kick out of the last chapter, maybe check the first book out as well.

I Know Everything is the first book I’ve read by Matthew Farrell, but it certainly won’t be my last! What a fast paced, fantastic read!,

This is a dark and twisted thriller that grabbed me on the first page! A deadly car crash kills the wife of Randall Brock, a psychiatrist and researcher of violent psychosis. The plot involves a mysterious stranger, Sam, who frequently visits Randall. On these unannounced visits, he gives Randall unsettling and disturbing information about his wife and their marriage. Randall is further distraught when Police Inspector Susan Adler informs him that the crash wasn’t an accident, but was ruled a homicide. And he is even more horrified when he discovers that he is a suspect. As Inspector Adler continues to delve into the investigation, she realizes that this killer isn’t finished killing!,

The plot is complex and multi-layered, with plenty of red herrings and misdirection thrown in to keep the reader guessing. I found I couldn’t turn the pages quickly enough. The characters were well developed, and I found that I liked some, but found others not so much so! I found Randall to be very complex, eliciting different emotions through out the book. Susan Adler was very relatable and well liked, whereas I found Sam to be very strange!

The book was filled with continuous twists and turns throughout, and the ending was mind blowing....truly explosive and a total surprise! After reading I Know Everything I can happily give it a five star rating! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was a tremendous read and for me, the discovery of a new exciting favorite author!!

Great book! The twists and turns had me the whole time. I'm obsessed with books like this, and this one was no exception. I cannot recommend this book enough.

This one caught me right from the first chapter. We meet Randall and his wife who are the storybook fairy tale love story right as she's accepting an aware for her foundation's work. The next morning Randall is notified that she's been in a terrible, fatal car accident. Soon after he has a stranger showing up to help him learn his wife's "truths" ... but only in exchange for truths of his own from his past. He's a psychiatrist working on ground breaking technology that could prevent violent tendencies with his long time friend and partner. Detective Susan Adler, newly divorced and raising twins on her own is floored as they begin to realize the car accident was no accident and that Randall's wife Amanda was murdered. As she and her newly transferred partner begin to try and piece things together she begins to realize the truth might be harder to find than she realized.
I seriously could not put this book down and when I just knew I had the culprit pinned, I was surprised yet again.

Took a while for me to get through this book. It’s a little out of the niche of books I read but gave it a shot. It wasn’t bad, but if a book can’t keep my attention, I can’t rate it too high.

Matthew Farrell’s writing is great and he had all of the elements of a great story, I just think this story wasn’t really for me.

I love being able to guess the ending of mysteries/thrillers, but to me, this was too predictable. It’s worth a read if you enjoy crime books, though.

I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley. This book had me from the very beginning. I love that it kept me engaged the entire time. I couldn't wait to see how it ended. I would highly recommend to all my fellow readers. Thank you for the chance to review this book!

This book was quite the twisty one. It had all the elements I love. There was a psychological aspect, mystery, and plenty of thrills and chills. It kept me guessing and kept me very interested and reading until very late at night. It is the perfect book for a dark winter night. Susan Adler is a likable character who is trying to balance her work and home life. She is a divorced mother of twins and detective who just took on a new mentee at the New York State Department. Susan and Tommy begin the investigation of a car accident involving a notable wealthy person. Everything that happens after that is puzzling and mysterious with plenty of twists and turns. I really enjoyed reading this one.

This book was just okay. I liked the main character but was not really vested in any of the others so much. By the end, I just wanted to be done with it so that I could know what happened and then I wasn't really satisfied. There were too many plot twists and not in a good way.
