Sweet and cute from start to finish. While cute this story also addresses some heavy topics and does so in a very compassionate and engaging way. i love it when books have events that make me question what I would do or think. The characters are entertaining and very colorful. I would love to visit a RV resort that is described in this manner as the location, people and entertainment options sound quite fun!

Thank you for the chance to read this book and share my opinions!

This was a feel good story from the start. Joy and Royce were engaging however Jack stole the heart of the story. I loved seeing Joy and Maris become good friends and Joy opening herself up to the family that she had created. It was obvious from the first meeting that Jack and Royce were gong to be the best of buddies and I was not disappointed in that relationship and how it evolved. Chaos and Jack were so heart warming. I loved how Daron broke down Maris's defenses and also showed her the world around her with different eyes. This was a family that cared and protected each other. This is a great story!!

I have been a fan of Lori Foster for years. I love her alpha heroes and her strong female characters. this series is different from some of Lori's other series but still good.

Sisters of Summers End was an easy read. Joy is a divorced single mom from a wealthy family. She knows that money can't buy happiness and that sometimes friends that you choose make the best families. Joy and Maris are from different upbringings but learn to trust again in themselves and each other which leads them into outing themselves out there and both finding love. It was a good quick read. Great book to read while traveling.

Confession #1: I love Lori Foster and will happily read anything she has written!! Confession #2: That being said, I haven't read the first book in the Summer Resort series - Cooper's Charm - yet, but I will be rectifying that oversight very quickly because I absolutely loved this book!! Luckily, even though this is the second book in the series, it was able to be read as a standalone story.

The most important thing I noted as I was reading this story is that, while it has a couple of very hot romances in it, the relationship that is mostly explored is the friendship between Maris and Joy, and I absolutely loved that! Their friendship grows and blossoms even as they get to know each other, but they have each closed themselves off to any type of relationship because they are putting all of their time and energy into the priorities in their lives: Maris with her camp store and cafe, and Joy with her son. So the question is, can they change that and open themselves up to new experiences and new people? Watching their journey was both captivating and heartening, and I loved it.

The characters were all very likable (or hard to like as the case may be) and they were all fleshed out beautifully. Their back stories were woven in so you know exactly where they are coming from and why they have made the decisions that have brought them to this place and time.

The setting was very well written, so much so that I want to go stay at this lakeside resort myself! The descriptions of the fall and winter seasons were so real that they cooled me off in the midst of this hot summer! And the plot line unraveled at just the right pace, which is hard to achieve, but is done so beautifully here.

In summary, this book was a fascinating read, a different kind of love story, and it captivated me right from the start.

I give this book 5/5 stars, and can enthusiastically recommend it to anyone looking for a light, but very fulfilling, book to read.

Lorie Foster is one of the authors that made me fall in love with READING ROMANCE! I’ve enjoyed each & everyone & I’m on constant lookout for her next read! I love animals and throw in an alpha male and it’s a great read! Her books are the ones you can read more than once and they never get old!!

Lori Foster is one of the best hero and heroine writers, next to Jill Shalvis. I love the alpha man that has a big heart for animals, kids, and the woman he loves. I love that we see the characters Coop, Phoenix, Baxter, and Ridley from Cooper's Charm again. I love that the friendship of these characters is closer than those who are blood related and a true family. I was so excited when they got their HEA. Hope to see more books from this series.

I chose this not realizing it was the second in a series - and as soon as I finished I ordered both the first and second books in the series for my library.. I enjoyed getting to know the cast of characters working at the rv resort. I couldn’t help but root for Joy and her attempt to regain her life and stand on her own two feet. Joy finds a kindred spirit in Maris who runs the camp store/cafe.
I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest review.

I adored this book! Joy and Maris come from such different backgrounds and neither ever allowed friendships into their lives for their own reasons. Watching these two women take a chance on a friendship and seeing it flourish into a real sisterhood was so great to see.
Joy is a single mom and it has always been just her and Jack. When Royce enters the picture, it really gets good. These two aren't looking for anything serious but can they keep it uncomplicated? Then there is Maris and Daron. Maris isn't looking for a relationship with anyone much less a young flirt like Daron. Daron has had his eye on Maris for awhile now and he has a big job on his hands if he is going to break down her walls.
I love that this book has the friendship aspect between Joy and Maris, then the separate romances of Maris and Daron and also Joy and Royce. The characters are well written and the dialogue is spot on.

Such a bonus in this book! We get to go back to Cooper's Charm, catch up on old friends and get 2 romances in one! Joy is a single mom to Jack and Maris runs the camp store and restaurant. Neither has dated in years and stay too busy to live for themselves. But they become fast friends who help each other fill the void of friendship. When Royce buys the drive-in next door to the RV park the sparks between he and Joy are undeniable. Then they rescue a dog and she sees how incredibly wonderful he is with Jack and she starts to fall. When her past makes a visit it's the strength she gets from Royce and Maris that help her work through it and get to her HEA. While Maris is encouraging Joy, she in return points out to Maris that Daron, the camp handyman, is a great match for her and helps her to work around the issues she has with relationships and priorities to find that she can have everything she's wanted! I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review

Cute, but for me missed the oomph of a suspense Lori Foster. Felt a little pat in places but still a fun read.

I’ve really enjoyed the Summer Resort series, which started with Cooper’s Charm. I think that Sisters of Summer’s End may have been even sweeter than the first book. For one thing, the only real conflict in this one was emotional. There was a touch of danger in Cooper’s Charm that was absent in the second book. That’s not a complaint though. Although I love Lori Foster’s suspenseful books a little more, the sweet ones definitely have their own appeal 😉

Just like Cooper’s Charm, there were two couples featured in Sisters of Summer’s End and I enjoyed both of them. Both women had interesting back stories and both men were determined to find a way into both of their hearts.

I’m not sure if there’s more to come with the Summer Resort series, but I have no doubt that there’s much more to come from Lori Foster, regardless.

Two thirty something women are wanting to change their lives. One is focused on her goals completely.
The other devotes herself to her young son. Neither thinks about a romantic relationship until a chance encounter with a guest at the RV resort gets one of them thinking. They'll become Sisters by Summer's End!

Joy Lee really doesn't notice men and has no time for a relationship between her job of recreation director at Cooper's Charm RV Resort and her 5 year old son Jack. Marisa Kennedy's past has shaped her life and has her so goal oriented that she hasn't wanted a relationship to get in the way. One day a guest about their age comes into Summers End the RV resort diner and store and gets Marisa thinking about her life. Her acquaintance for several years Joy comes in and they start moving there casual friendship into something more. Joy must go try to get the new drive-in owner to work with the Resort for the benefit of both businesses. When she arrives soaked through because of a rainstorm and gets a look at Royce Nakirk she's immediately attracted to the man. Royce is also hit by the attraction. Meanwhile Marisa has been attracted to the handyman for the resort, Daron Hardy. Daron has had a thing for Marisa for years, but because of her assumptions about him she doesn't want anything to do with Daron. The two women wanting to change their lives embark on romances that are about to change their perceptions and lives forever. As pasts are revealed and Joy and Marisa become best friends both start to fall in love. Royce and Daron can't resist the women in their lives. A visit from Joy's mother has old feelings and anger resurfacing. Marisa decides to take a chance on Daron. As fall settles in and an early winter hits these two women give into the the love and desire for the men in their lives, sparks fly and misconceptions are put to rest. When Joy needs to make a decision about an inheritance she turns to the her adopted family for advice. All their friends love the change in Joy. A talk with her father brings a new perspective to the past. A visit to an attorney results in Royce coming to the rescue and brought him to the realization that he must give up the woman he loves. Both, Joy and Royce are miserable until they talk to Daron and Marisa. Joy makes a decision about her future and a reconciliation meeting.

Lori Foster has a unique take on family and friendship with Sisters of Summer's End and takes place in a different type of setting an RV Resort. Two women who work together and are looking to make changes, become like sisters when they start their two woman club. They must talk through problems from their pasts, family and the men in their lives to get their happily ever after. They help each other through the rough spots and that brings them together as sisters. Lori Foster shows that you don't have to be a blood relation to be family that you can make your friends family when love is involved.

5 Stars!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, suspense, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Cooper's Charm (Summer Resort #1)

In this book we learn all about friendships and love. Joy moved to take on a new job. Now she is working and taking care of her son. Royce is the new owner of the local drive-in. After years of taking care of family he is ready for a change. He has plans and needs to stick to those plans. But one cute little boy and his mother make him rethink all his plans for the future. Maris has been with the camp store for years. Maris and Joy friendship allows them to challenge each other. It is allowing them to move forward and bond. Maris has known Daron for years but has no idea he wants her for himself. When she realizes she pushes him away again and again. Will Maris finally with the friendship with Joy be able to let down her walls and allow Daron in?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Sisters of Summer's End
Summer Resort Series - Book 2
By Lori Foster

HQN - June 2019

Contemporary Romance

Joy Lee had everything she needed in life. Her own home, and a job she enjoyed that provided for her and her son Jack. She knew she had been lucky to find this job, even luckier that the people she worked with at the resort were so nice. In fact, after years of insulating herself, she was slowly emerging and making friendships. One in particular, with store and cafe owner Maris Kennedy. And Maris was pushing Joy further out of her shell towards the new owner of the local drive-in.

Royce Nakirk knew that running the drive-in would take hard work, but he didn't realize how much he would anticipate coordinating combined activities until he met Joy. Soon, it wasn't shared events that he was seeking her out for.

Maris loved her life at the resort, and the friends who had become her family, but Daron Hardy was one irritant she's been trying to ignore. After urging Joy to take a chance on Royce, Maris has to decide if its time to take her own advice.

Lori Foster returns to her Summer Resort series with Sisters of Summer's End. Joy and Maris may not be sisters in blood, but they have decided they are sisters of the heart. And heart is the core of this story. There is Joy's love for her son, and the decisions she's had to make in his best interest. Maris's love she shares with all in their community. And the romance between Joy and Royce which of course includes Royce's love for her son, and the secondary romance of Maris and Daron.

This is a touching story about friendship, love and letting go of the things in your past that hold you back. Joy works at the resort and is a single mother. Her life revolves around her son, he is the only family she has. Maris runs the store at the resort and also has a past she is trying to put behind her. Both women have so much pain in their past and they take comfort in each other and a friendship develops. When the neighboring drive in is sold they don't expect the young and handsome Royce. Royce is focused on getting his life back on track and not looking for a relationship anytime soon. When he meets Joy all bets are off. What starts out as a fling causes them to take a closer look at themselves and what they want out of life. Great read!

Sister of Summers End is a fun, witty, sexy read, it’s Lori Foster at her best. I loved revisiting Coopers Charm and getting caught up with everyone from the first books in the series.

Joy a single mom who came from money, but she soon found out that your family is not always on your side. Joy finds the ability to to learn that she is capable to raising her son, and provide a great home for them both. What Joy did not expect is fallen for Royce, Coopers Charm newest resident.

Royce needed s change, needed to be only responsible for himself. After long years taking care of his mother who had dementia, after her death Royce wanted something for him so he bought the drive-In on the out skirts of Cooper Charm RV park. What he didn’t plan on is being drawn in by a sprite of a woman with brilliant green eyes and her amazingly wonderful son, who has talent .

I loved the whole double relationship vibe in Sisters of Summers End. Both couples are wonderful each with a different issue to work through alone and together. I was in tears reading about all their past, but Maris’s story had my heart.Mrs. Foster gave us two strong Heroes and their soulmates all helped balance each other.

Daron is a lighthearted fun man who has his work cut out for him, when it comes to winning Maris Kennedy’s heart.
Maris was raised poor, her parents lived off the government. Maris achieved what her parents could not. To have a steady income, a place of her own even though Maris dreamed of a house so day.

Supporting characters were a true delight for most part. Joy’s parents where a bit much at first namely her mother, but Ms.Foster evened it all out in the end. The plot takes place in Cooper Charm RV Park, I would enjoy staying at a place like this, we stayed every year at a place like this called Yogy Bears Adventure when I was younger now it’s call Michigan Oaks. Cooper, Phoenix, Baxter, Riley, Joy, Jack, Royce, Maris and Daron were all wonderful to get to know and Remanence with.

So this book is the perspective of two best friends Joy and Maris both who are going through life and facing different challenges. Joy is just trying to give her five year old son what she didn't have growing up. She was raised in a wealthy family and while given what she wanted she wasn't given that love and support she truly wanted and things went downhill for her when she was pregnant and forced to make some tough choices and she really seems to be a at a good place right now. Now shes facing a different challenge : dating and possibly finding the one but can she be open for that? Then there is Maris her friend who hasn't had the best childhood but got thought and is happy at the moment with how her life is but how dating is a challenge she never really got into growing up and yea can't say more without spoiling the book. If your a fan of contemporary romances then you'll definitely love this book. I pretty much devoured it from start to end and highly recommend you lovely readers to check it out.

Once again Lori tells two wonderful stories in one book of love, family and friendship. Joy and Royce are two people who are not looking for a relationship but once they meet and spend time together they realize you can't fight the attraction. Joy is a strong independent mom who always puts he son Jack's need before her own. The relationship Royce develops with Jack is wonderful and he is so loving with him.
Maris and Daron have there own chemistry that Maris tries so hard to ignore. Daron chips away at her resolve until she finally sees him for who he is.
I adored visiting in Summer's End. Makes you want to find your own little Coopers Charm to live in.

I really enjoyed reading Sister's of Summer's End, book 2 in the Summer Resort series. It was a great summer read that gave you not one, but two great love stories. The friendship between Joy and Maris is humorous at times and heartfelt with a strong sisterly bond. The chemistry between Joy & Royce is addicting, and Daron's persistence to never give up on Maris makes him a swoon worthy hero. Also, you will love the puppy Chaos! I highly recommend this fun summer read!
