Jasmine Guillory always makes me smile! Her romance stories bring joy, romance and fun to the table.

Doesn't quite reach the fun, fizziness of the other two books in this group (The Wedding Date & The Proposal), but still really enjoyable. The obstacles thrown up between the two protagonists can come off a bit too contrived (violence at a pre-K program protest) or repetitive (jumping through mental hoops to willfully misunderstand each other), but the characters are still heartfelt and recognizable. Guillory also does a great job of giving the returning characters from the previous books cameo here without stealing too much of the spotlight or feeling gimmicky.

There are many things to love about Jasmine Guillory's books, but my favorite thing to love is the way characters from her other books keep showing up in the one I'm currently reading. I'm not saying this quality is uniquely hers, but it just makes me feel like I'm having a visit with some old friends even though the books are meant to be standalones and not a series. Another thing her books have in common is unlikely people fall in love whether they want to or not and they have lots of fun and food while they're doing it. If you're like me and live a large part of your reading life on the dark side with psychopaths and other bad actors, then a good romantic comedy is refreshing. It cleanses my mental palate so I can dive back into Whacky World once more. So why don't I go on a steady diet of feel-good books? For one thing, too much of a good thing is . . . well, not good. And I think the author recognizes this because the road to happiness never rides completely smoothly and she always includes some bumps and some angst to make it real.I loved Maddie and Theo because it's Mr. Nerdy OCD meets Miss Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and suddenly he's not so nerdy anymore and she is fighting with every quirk she has not to fall for a guy who is obviously so wrong for her. There is no doubt Jasmine Guillory has found her niche and has not only settled into it, but she is also thriving in it. If you are looking for a book to make you want to lounge on the couch all day and read, maybe with a few snacks here and there, this book will do it for you. I've already seen a posting for the next book coming out this fall featuring Maddie's mother who is quite a colorful character in her own right. Needless to say, I've got out my footie pajamas and my popcorn and I'm ready to read!

OH MY GOODNESS, my cheeks are sore from smiling from ear to ear while reading THE WEDDING PARTY! I absolutely loved this book! It was sheer joy to turn the pages as I was on the edge of my seat with anticipation. I don’t think I can swoon, gush or squeal anymore than I have with this book. I had several glasses of rosé while reading this book & kicked my feet with excitement throughout. This story of love & friendship just made me giddy. I thoroughly enjoyed the way the story unfolded with lighthearted pleasure, sexual tension, love and secrecy. ⁣

It all began with Alexa and Drew (The Wedding Date), then Carlos and Nik (The Proposal) and now Maddie and Theo in The Wedding Party. Let me just say I freaking love Maddie and Theo. I was rooting for them the entire time. The evolution of their relationship was authentic and relatable. While you don’t necessarily have to read the books (The Wedding Date, The Proposal, The Wedding Party) in order of publication, I enjoyed reading them in order because it provided me a better frame of reference of how the characters were all connected.⁣

Jasmine, you outdid yourself with this one! The Wedding Party hits shelves on July 16, 2019. Mark your calendars book friends, you are are in for a treat! ⁣

I hadn't read any of Jasmine Guillory's books before this one, but this certainly won't be my last.

Maddie and Theo dislike each other, significantly, and have known this fact since the moment they were introduced by their mutual friend Alexia years ago. Now Alexis is getting married and the two of them are both in the wedding party, and more than that they ended up having a drunken night together that was quite good.
Now the two of them have to figure out what they are, while still trying to not get too involved and making a very strong promise that this will be over by the day Alexis gets married, but do things every go that easily?

This was a perfect book to pick up on a Friday; light, fun, happy, and a little bit sexy. This will be a perfect beach read for the summer and one that has made me want to go back and read the rest of the books.

Here comes the bride.... And a whole lot of drama and unwanted feelings.

Maddie and Theo have two things in common: Alexa is their BFF... and they hate each other with a passion. Then they fell into bed together. Once was a fluke. Twice was a mistake. Is the third time the charm? Well... Yes and no.

When Maddie and Theo are asked to be part of Alexa's wedding party, they make a set of rules. The most important of which being that they would stop sleeping together after the wedding. But when the wedding date is moved up, and they find themselves together when there's no wedding prep to be done, will they finally admit to each other--and themselves--that they have developed feelings?

A fantastic third novel from Jasmine Guillory, focusing on the best friends of Alexa (heroine of book one, "The Wedding Date") and how first impressions aren't always the best impressions, that opinions can change, and that sometimes you need to get out of your own head to discover what is in your heart.

In addition to this fantastic enemies-to-friends-with-benefits-to-lovers transition between Maddie and Theo, fans of Ms. Guillory's previous titles will love to see Alexa and Drew tie the knot and the return of Carlos and Nik. Happily ever afters all around! Also, now having had Maddie's POV, I'm even more excited for the next book, "Royal Holiday", which will focus on Maddie's wonderful mom, Vivian.

I really like Jasmine's work. The Wedding Party is no exception. I love how she gives her characters unique professions. These woman feel real. They are dealing with real insecurities and real family dynamics. It's not all fluff. I love all the sexytime. It was hella sexy. I appreciate a good dirty text message scene. While this book is the third, I think it could be read as a stand alone. The two previous books just show the romance of two couples that show up in this novel. But I have been told I am too lenient in regard to reading books out of order.

Jasmine Guillory is the queen of modern romance! Much like her previous titles, this one is an unexpected take on love and a fun read!

Jasmine Guillory just keeps getting better. The Wedding Party takes place partially concurrently to the events of The Wedding Date and the Proposal. Alexa's best friends Theo and Maddie can barely tolerate each other until one day, they can't get enough of each other. This book was sexy and sweet and full of all the lovely things about Guillory's writing. The conflicts are understandable and these are realistic, well-rounded characters with jobs and lives and families and it's absolute perfection.

Maddie and Theo were some of my favorite characters ever! This was such a cute real relationship, including friendships, ups and downs. Alexa was such the glue for these two. I laughed, I yelled, I thought "are you kidding me?" But it was such a sweet story about love, real romance, friendship and growth. Jasmine Guillory does not dissapoint! I enjoy these characters in her books so much, I end up feeling like they are actually MY friends, lol. Such great writing.

Contemporary romance readers will love The Wedding Party. They'll love anything from Alexa's world. It's impossible not to. This is the third title in a loosely interconnected universe, which began with The Wedding Date, featuring an unlikely pairing that heated up and kept smoldering. The Proposal was next, centering side characters from the first book.

Now The Wedding Party pits two of Alexa's best buddies against each other. Maddie hates uptight Theo, and he's plenty exasperated with her. But they do mesh really well one way. Where's the harm in letting this--thing--they have go on for a while? Just up through Alexa's wedding.

Although neither one of them wants to admit it, they're both getting more attached than they should be. Can these two very different personalities make a convincing go of it?

Guillory is three for three with these binge-worthy novels. Recommended for those who like Jennifer Crusie, Helen Hoang, and Alexa Martin.

Another delight from Jasmine Guillory! Fans of The Wedding Date and The Proposal will also love this great take on the enemies-to-lovers trope as straight-laced Theo and fashion-loving Maddie realize they have more in common than just being Alexa's best friends. Full of charm, humor, and tons of chemistry and banter!

The Wedding party is the third book featuring these loosely related characters, and it's my favorite of the three. Theo and Maddie were likeable and relatable and their secret romance was sweet and well-paced.

I am usually not a big romance reader, but I am loving all these diverse romances that are coming out. This is my first Jasmine Guillory novel, but it will not be my last.

This is exactly the kind of "enemies to lovers" book that I love. Great characters that are slightly nerdy, fast-paced and fresh dialogue, a good dash of humor, and steamy romance (but not totally smutty).

Perfect summer read!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an e-ARC of this book!

I received an ARC of "The Wedding Party" courtesy of NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Book three of Jasmine Guillory's The Wedding Date series took me by total surprise. After Maddie & Theo's initial greeting I never thought it would come to THIS. But boy is the this storyline addictive. You could not anticipate where the author was going with it until about 3/4 of the way through.

This is a novel you will not want to end. However, we have "The Royal Holiday" to look forward to.

Kudos Jasmine Guillory!

Jasmine Guillory is one of my favorite new Authors. I love how she brings the characters forward from her previous books. My only complaint would be how much pizza is consumed in the book, it got a little repetitive.

Didn't find this very addicting and ended up putting it down a lot. Some odd time jumps that felt like they just there to advance the plot faster. The romance was a bit lack lustre as well, lots of skippages, brief moments of detail then a week has gone by which interrupted any growing excitement for the characters.

Jasmine Guillory delivers another fun and heartwarming story of love - or lack there of. Fans of Guillory will delight in getting a glimpse into the "current" lives of previous characters, and will devour this new novel. I'll happily recommend it to anyone looking for a summer love story.

Maddie and Theo have always hated each other from the moment they met. They both thought the other was way too stuck up and into themselves and how they looked. The only thing they had in common was Alexa their mutual best friend. When Maddie is dragged to Theo's birthday party by Alexa then ditched by her Maddie offers Theo a ride home. From the ride home to a dance contest these two quickly find themselves in the one place where they least expected... in bed. They quickly decide they still hate each other but could be not friends with benefits, but Alexa cannot find out. Can they keep this not friends with benefits up or will Alexa find out. This laugh out loud story is a perfect companion to the Guillory's other two books.

I thought this book was incredibly fun. I loved the characters and how the previous stories intertwined. Reading this made me feel like I wanted to be friends with these characters. This was funny, thoughtful, and passionate. I will forever look forward to her books.
