An enemies to lovers romance by Jasmine Guillory… I’m here for it!

Maddie and Theo are Alexa’s (from The Wedding Date) two best friends and they don’t get along. From the moment they first met, they rubbed each other the wrong way. They’re just so different. Theo seems like the uptight pompous type of guy that Maddie can’t stand and Maddie is the type of girl Theo can’t take seriously.

With the wedding quickly approaching, the bridesmaid and bridesman (I love this term!) end up spending more time together. And that includes a time in bed that’s more hot and intense then either one of them could imagine.

They aren’t willing to admit they like each other, but the sex is too good between them to stop. So they have rules. It will be a secret, it will be over when the wedding is over, and the obvious- they won’t fall in love. But the thing about rules? They’re made to be broken. With time, Maddie and Theo really get to know each other and they like what they see. It’s like they are actually perfect for each other, opposites attract and all that.

I enjoyed this book a lot, though it was a little slow to the start for me. Once it picked up, I was completely invested. I love these characters and I loved getting to see Alexa and Drew’s wedding, plus some cameos from the characters from The Proposal. If you’re looking for a steamy, fun, and enjoyable romance, this is one I would recommend!

After a series of heavy reads this book was just the effervescent and amusing story that I needed. I love the way that the author intertwines characters from the other books in this series. While it does feel slightly formulaic, you can't fault the formula if it is working! Theo and Maddie were wonderful sparring with each other throughout the novel. All of these books are perfect beach reads - or sitting on the couch eating pizza reads!

The Wedding Party was so much fun! And so freaking cute! And so sexy and smart and so very, very quintessential Jasmine Guillory. I devoured this book in a day and enjoyed every delectable,  romantic morsel of it.

This enemies to lovers romance follows Theo and Maddie, mutual friends of Alexa from The Wedding Date! These characters can't decide if they want each other or want to throttle each other, but as members of Alexa's bridal party, they also can't avoid each other. And so a complicated dynamic evolves, and a story full of reluctant attraction, insecurity and complicated emotion ensues.

I really loved this storyline and I so enjoyed these characters. Jasmine Guillory is such a refreshing storyteller, such a sharp writer. I eagerly anticipate each new book and this one certainly did not disappoint. The push and pull, the relentless attraction, the secret romance, the wedding planning, the banter... it all culminates into such a great read and I enjoyed it completely.

The Wedding Party is a fun romance that shares characters from Jasmine Guillory's earlier books. Spoiler alert for people who haven't read The Wedding Date: this book is about Alexa and Derek's own wedding, but the main characters are Alexa's two best friends, Maddie and Theo. The formula is familiar--two people who don't get along fall for each other while trying to keep their relationship hidden. But I liked Maddie and Theo as characters and the romance is appealing. The couple from The Proposal (so far my favorite of the three books) also make an appearance.

Jasmine Guillory just keeps getting better. I absolutely adored this book! It was fun, smart, and sexy. Maddie and Theo were amazing. I laughed with them, I cried with them, I was all in my feelings with them. It was so much fun watching them grow. It was great seeing all the people from the first 2 books. I wanted to get dressed and attend the wedding. I was 100% invested in this story. Yes Ms. Guillory! I can't wait to see what else you write.

I have been a fan of Jasmine’s writing since the Wedding Date and this current novel was even better. Smart, sexy and full of swoons. I cannot wait to see more from this author.

This book continues with its charming romantic comedies. It falls back on events and people previously introduced in the first two books. I loved the idea of wanting to keep something secret because you don't want other people to invade on your privacy. Especially since both of the main characters value their privacy. However, I was slightly disappointed in the beginning by the character Theo. Form the first two books I formed a picture of a charming, easy going guy. I was slightly taken aback to find he had changed, at least in my perception, to a more serious homebody. Not that there is something wrong with being a homebody, but I just wasn't expecting it from this character. This is totally a me issue. Overall, this book is super cute and I would defiantly recommend it to anyone looking for a light romantic read.

So much fun to read - not a cure for cancer - but a wonderful diversion for those in need of one.
Looking forward to the next installment of this delightful series.

I am always up for an enemies to lovers romance, but this one just wasn't for me. First and foremost, I am ALWAYS up for some steamy scenes, like that's apart of romance, BUT the first 35% seemed like nothing but the sexy times. There was not much of a story in that either. Also, if I never hear or see the word pizza, I couldn't be more appreciative. I just couldn't get into Maddie and Theo's story. It seemed not natural and unrealistic. It seemed rushed, which is a bit odd because it wasn't a super long book, but it was long enough if that makes sense. Like one minute they are eating pizza and the next its a week later. No in-betweens, nothing. There was various plots that I feel may have been necessary, maybe if this author let them develop into something they wanted, and let them tell their story we would have had more info that is necessary. I don't know, it just didn't develop like I needed it to, for me to fall in love with these characters. What I did like about this story is minimal, but I will share. That both characters can dance, and dance well. I loved how Alexa did her friendly duties to make things happen. To be honest she is probably the best part of the story. Being my first read by this author, I am not impressed. I am not sure if I will give her another chance to whoo me.

When a mutual friend approaches them to share bridal party duties, it can go either way because neither gets along with one another. Can Maddie and Theo let go of the past long enough to make this wedding go off without a hitch?

This was a great follow-up to The Wedding Date and The Proposal. I love the author's writing style, the humorous dialogue, and the diverse and relatable set of characters. This enemies-to-lovers tale should be at the top of your summer reading list.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advanced reader's copy in exchange for my review.

The Wedding Party remains my favorite novel in this trilogy, so it was lovely to see the couple from that book get married in this one. The characters in this book didn’t grab me and the love-hate dynamic between them didn’t work for me. But it’s a nice continuation of the universe of the other novels.

This was a fun enemies to romance story, set in the same universe as The Wedding Date and The Proposal. Like the other two, this books is full of fun characters and snappy quips. However, I don't think it was quite as good as Guillory's other books. The characters didn't feel as real to me, and they felt like they were playing second fiddle to Alexa and Drew from the Wedding Date. Still, it's definitely worth reading if you want to feel a little warmer and happier!

I really enjoy Jasime Guillory books. I think that she has cute ideas, and I met her at ALA and she was extremely pleasant. I enjoyed this book, but the Proposal is much better!

Jasmine Guillory does it again with this one. A fun, sexy little number that is hard to put down.
A great romance story with all the key elements of a classic romance, AND characters of color!
Jasmine writes great characters you feel connected with from page one.
This one pairs perfectly with the sun and a mojito.

Fun & Light romance in continuation of Guillory's series. Would love to see this tied in to the wedding date TV series or Movie that's in development.

This is absolutely a fun, enjoyable, humorous read with appealing characters, although it took me longer to warm up to Maddie and Theo and their growing relationship compared to the characters in Jasmine Guillory's two previous novels. But I will always be looking forward to this author's work, as her insights into people and how they relate to each other are spot-on.

A fun, sexy enemies-to-lovers romcom built on a premise that is juuuuuuuust this side of flimsy but totally works because the characters are so good.

Ummm...I don't even know where to begin. I thought this author had a popular book or two. I took a chance because the story sounded adorable.

But I have no idea. I didn't enjoy the writing style. I hate third person in contemporary. It just doesn't work. For romance to work, I usually prefer first person style. It's easier to feel their emotions. This just felt like I was being told things, so I had no connection to them. And, it also made it impossible to feel any speak between them.

I kept trying though, because I figured the story would have to get better. But after 30% and no change in my feelings, I gave up.

Maddie and Theo weren't as appealing as the other characters in Guillory's books. (Plus, they eat WAY too much pizza. Seriously, how are they not tired of pizza?) The beginning of their story felt a little rushed and contrived, though I started to warm up to them after a certain event triggered more of a development in their relationship, and the ending was pretty fun.
