Could not put this book down! A lot of characters and all could be the killer of Lily - nobody is a very suspicion. And to top it off - who’s threatening to kill Kate? Great beach book!

A fantastic thriller that was a page turner. This one made me miss sleep, but was well worth it. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Thanks to NetGalley, publisher and author to allow me to get a free copy of this book for review. The story starts with Lily’s funeral. Lily is Kate’s mother, killed at her home. Kate is devastated and at the same time happy to see Blair, who used to be her closest friend. Blair and Kate had lost touch a long time ago due to a fight between them, years before. Right after the funeral, Kate starts to receive threats that make her feel unsafe and in danger. This is the beginning of a story full of surprises, secrets and twists nobody can see coming. This story surprised me in a very good way.

This was yet another book by Liv Constantine that kept me up way past my bedtime. I literally could not put it down, and found myself "sneaking" in times to read it. This us definitely an easy one to recommend; I appreciate a book that does my job for me. 4.5 out of 5 stars!

The Last Time I Saw You is a slow burn psychological thriller that has you questioning whether or not the main characters are sane or if they are losing touch with reality. After Kate’s mom is murdered she begins receiving threats, gifts, and taunts from the supposed killer. She heavily relies on Blaire, her estranged best friend and other character POV, to help her navigate this difficult time and help figure out who close to her could be the killer and stalker. I was able to guess the main culprit early on but that didn’t detract from the enjoyment of this novel. Constantine is a gifted writer that I will definitely be reading more of.

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for this early copy!

The writing/suspense was well done but I struggled with the plot and twists. They felt unrealistic to me.

It was a solid thriller. Full review to come soon. 3.5 Stars

I finished this book a few hours ago and have been trying to think of how to right this review... this book was in no means bad but it also wasn’t entirely memorable with a shocking twist and/or “wow” moment. While there were a few things I didn’t see coming, finding out who was responsible for the threats the main character, Kate, received was a little predictable. There were a few cases where I felt the writing was a little unrealistic. This was the second book I’ve read by Liv Constantine, and unfortunately this one didn’t come close to the suspense of “The Last Mrs Parrish”. Overall, I’d still recommend; just know going in the suspense is not all that suspenseful.

This was just a typical mystery. It was a little slow, and repetitive at times. I'll still recommend it to people looking for an easy summer read, but I was hoping for something a little more unique.

The Last Time I Saw You is a nonstop twister that you won't want to put down. It is one of those books where you do not know who to feel sorry for and who to root for. I really love the books that the sisters who are Liv Constantine write. While The Last Mrs. Parrish was phenomenal this one a pretty good as well. The Last Time I Saw You is just under 300 pages and the story spans only a couple of weeks tops. So every chapter has something new occur helping make it fast paced. The chapters bounce back and forth between former best friends Blaire and Kate so it is great to get the two perspectives of the story. Of course these are not impartial at all so beware who you trust.

I would recommend this to almost any reader, not readers who do not like thrillers. Grab this one and while you are at it get The Last Mrs. Parrish as well. Make a weekend of Liv Constantine novels.

Dr. Kate English has it all. Not only is she the heiress to a large fortune; she has a gorgeous husband and daughter, a high-flying career, and a beautiful home anyone would envy. But all that changes the night Kate’s mother, Lily, is found dead, brutally murdered in her own home. Heartbroken and distraught, Kate reaches out to her estranged best friend, Blaire Barrington, who rushes to her side for the funeral, where the years of distance between them are forgotten in a moment. Her emotions are at an all time high when she receives an anonymous text that makes the hair on her arms stand up. Someone knows something and what ensues threatens to bring Kate’s life to an end. Review: I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I was really excited about their newest release. Unfortunately this book just didn’t do it for me. It felt incredibly disjointed and all over the place at times. The dialogue was severely lacking, confusing & at times incredibly cheesy. I read a lot of thrillers, so maybe I’m a little more tough on them sometimes, but you may enjoy it if you don’t read a lot of thrillers! rating: 2.5 out of 5 ⭐️

The Last Time I Saw You by Liv Constantine is a psychological thriller about the dysfunction of Baltimore high society. Dr. Kate English has it all: she is a physician, wife and mother, living in a showcase home and is also the heiress to a family fortune. Tragedy strikes when her mother Lily is brutally murdered and the police haven't a clue who the perpetrator could be. Blaire Barrington, Kate's best friend in earlier years, comes to the funeral to offer her support and to help unearth information about the murder. Soon after the funeral, Kate begins to receive threatening texts promising that she is next. The tension intensifies till Kate becomes paranoid and starts doubting the integrity of several people in her life. Who could have killed Lily and is the same person coming for her? Suspicions of infidelity, betrayals and dishonesty only succeed to confuse. The resolution will astonish. This is a great title for beach or cottage reading. I had high hopes for this book but was a little disappointed. It lacked that captivating feeling that makes a great mystery book. Some of the details were downright creepy and unnecessary to the plot development. I'm not going to recap the plot but I did finish the book and give it 3 stars.

I really wanted to love this book because I've heard so many great things about it, as well as the authors but it dragged on. It was boring and predictable to me. It seemed to be a lot of unnecessary drama and characters thrown in that didn't do much to add to the story. Again, it was predictable with no real twists or "pull the curtain back" moments. I'm still going to read Last Mrs. Parrish and hope for better results.

Really not sure what to say. I was really looking forward to this one but even though I finished it, I felt let down. This one just wasn’t for me.

Slow start
So many characters
Lots of repeating
The end was just.... eh

Not for me but don’t let my review stop you from picking it up.

Thank you to NetGalley for my review copy, all opinions are my own.

This is a great Summer mystery! It’s light enough to dip in and out of while still keeping you intrigued and guessing the whole time. The main character, Kate, is relatable and interesting. I wasn’t able to guess the twists and I always appreciate a good story that surprises me!

This was definitely not as good as their previous book. I guessed the perp very early on. There were a lot of contrivances and coincidences that were spilled out toward the end of the book. I didn't find the characters very convincing and all of them, including Annabelle, were stereotypes. There were some red herrings, and I did enjoy reading it, these quibbles aside. I think they set the bar too high with The Last of Mrs. Parrish.

I so enjoyed reading The Last Mrs. Parrish, that I had to read more books by the authors. Just my luck, The Last Time I Saw You, had just come out. I still enjoyed this book, but I can say it doesn't even compare to the Last Mrs. Parrish. There is just something missing in this one, and I can't quite put my finger on it.

Kate's mother has just been murdered. With this comes the return of her best friend, Blaire, whom she hasn't talked to in many years. Blaire wants to find out who murdered Kate's mother, just as much as Kate does. Kate soon feels overwhelmed and starts thinking everyone is guilty, especially after she learns her mom and dad had a huge fight the day of the murder.

Blaire feels Kate's husband is guilty. He is the reason Kate and Blaire no longer talk, and he seems to be spending a lot of time with his mentor's daughter.
