The Last Time I Saw You is a fast paced, tension filled, twisty psychological thriller. It's a creepy murder mystery and so much more. Nothing is as it seems at first. It’s a complex web of human behavior and traits. The relationships among the various characters are tense and add depth to the overall plot. I was fascinated by the lives and problems of the main characters. Overall, I thought this was a masterfully crafted novel that kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the writing style and look forward to seeing what this author comes up with next! Thank you Harper Collins for the free arc. I enjoyed the mystery of this novel. Where it fell a little flat for me was where they revealed who was trying to kill Kate. It did not line up for me based on previous writings of that character. That said, I still liked it.

I enjoyed this book! I was constantly wondering who did it and every time I read something I would switch my mind as to who did it. I had two suspects in mind and my instinct was semi correct on one of them. I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone! I did not see the twist coming towards the end. Once it was revealed I saw all the clues leading up and thought to myself I should have seen that coming! I thought this was a fast read and would recommend it to anyone looking for a mystery!

When I received this book, I was so thrilled. I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I could not wait to dive into Liv Constantine's latest book. It was a twisty, roller coaster of a narrative journey. Without giving too much away, what I liked about this book is that there are multiple plot twists in this book vs. just the singular "whodunnit" question. We know that the book begins with the death of beloved Lily Michaels' murder, but what unfolds from there is a wild ride.

The characters are complex and nuanced. The pace is mostly on point, and readers will want to race to the end to see how it wraps up.

Wowzer!!! I love reading a fantastic mystery/thriller that becomes all consuming—Liv Constantine (two sisters who co-author under this name) definitely came through big time with The Last Time I Saw You! Throughout this epic “who done it”, I was completely baffled and spun around pretty much the entire way through. I wasn’t sure what characters were trustworthy and I loved pealing away layer upon creepy layer of everyone’s crazy backstories! The storyline was so well planned and executed! The well-timed twists and turns had their own twists and turns (and you will not see them coming)!!! The Last Time I Saw You is a 5 star read that will leave you chilled to the bone (in the best possible way lol)! I haven’t read Liv Constantine’s debut novel, The Last Mrs. Parrish, but I am absolutely going to be putting that at the top of my TBR list!!!

I had the opportunity to read this book thanks to NetGalley, Harper Collins Publishers, and Liv Constantine.

The book opens with a woman dying on the floor. It turns out to be the protagonist’s (Kate) mother.
On the surface, she has everything with her money, husband and daughter, and successful medical practice. However, it is clear that there are many secrets in Kate’s past and her relationship with her husband, Simon, is indeed quite strained. Another character who is introduced is her former best friend who comes to the funeral and does not get along with Simon. Kate suddenly begins to receive threatening messages and it seems she is next on the killer’s list. This books has plenty of plot twists and surprises and reads very easily.
I loved this book as much as “The Last Mrs. Parrish”. It is well written and highly entertaining. I will continue to look out for further books by Liv Constantine. I will definitely recommend to friends and family!

Novel about murder, friendship, and mental illness

Really a 3.5 but I'm going to give this book the benefit of the doubt and round up. This book should definitely land in your pool bag this summer, because it has all of the elements of a juicy beach read. It starts off slow (and to be honest I kind of had a hard time following..) And the middle is AMAZINGly entertaining and I could hardly put it down. The end kind of goes off the rails a little bit. I honestly had the feeling that the writers were pulling out all of the crazy stops. But honestly I didn't mind it that much. It's a fun psychological thriller type book and.. bonus, it's super duper soapy and over the top. So I'd recommend. :)

Liv Constantine created high expectations for this novel since her acclaimed The Last Mrs. Parrish. The Last Time I Saw You follows the traditional psychological thriller plot, but it did not have quite the same grip as the first novel. It was engaging, but for me, fell apart a bit towards the end with too basic of explanations and some unrealistic turns. It did redeem itself on the last pages which I thought were great though. Even though this probably isn't going to have the same response as The Last Mrs. Parrish, it's still a strong, fast read for lovers of this genre.

After Kate’s mom is brutally murdered, she begins to receive menacing text messages from an unknown number. As her anxiety grows, she begins to suspect everyone close to her, from her estranged husband to her daughter’s nanny. Alternating between Kate’s perspective and Blaire, an old friend she had a falling out with over her dislike of Kate’s husband, the threats escalate until Kate’s paranoia comes to a head.

I found Kate’s propensity to jump to conclusions increasingly frustrating. One of the big reveals (what Lily and Harrison had been fighting about) was really predictable, as were most of the ancillary mysteries. The big whodunit lacked impact and was just thrown in there because at that point, who cares who killed Lily?

I both loved and hated the time jump ending. I thought it was creative, but also didn’t track with the rest of the story. If I were to go back and reread the book, the ending still wouldn’t have fit with the majority of the story. I wasn’t as disappointed as I was after The Last Mrs. Parrish, but this tops out at 3.5 stars for me.

While reading this type of taunt thriller my advice is usually "go with your gut" but Liv Constantine is very good at turning the tables on the reader as is the case with her newest. Kate and Blaire were the best of friends, closer than sisters, until their friendship fallout over Kate's choice of husband. Years down the road they come back together at the funeral of Kate's murdered mother. Blaire remains at Kate's side when evil and weird things begin to happen because that is what lifelong friends do. Blaire thinks it is Kate's husband who is behind everything but how can she convince Kate that she is right in her mistrust. A twisty plot that begs to be read in one sitting and try as you might to trust your gut, you might be wrong. My thanks to the publisher for the advance copy.

When I saw that a book by Liv Constantine was coming out I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it as I had enjoyed their last book The Last Mrs Parrish very much.
Needless to say this does not disappoint. It’s is twisty and the characters are real. The women and men are manipulative and flawed. The plot is thick and interesting. It’s not a straightforward whodunit. It’s got a few plot lines and that makes this very relatable and believable. It’s a complex mesh of human behavior and traits. The dynamics between various characters are tense and add to the plot. This make it a hard to guess/figure out kind of a book. I really enjoyed it immensely. It wasn’t at all simple and straightforward. The twists that kept coming made it a very enjoyable read. The ending was detailed and tied up all the threads nicely.
It was a hard to put down book; the Constantine sisters have delivered yet another bestseller for sure!

Dr. Kate English's mother has just been murdered. She is reunited with her estranged friend, Blaire, who returned to pay her respects to Kate's mother. It's apparent that there is tension between Blaire and Kate's husband, Simon. When Kate starts getting text messages and emails stating that she will be the next victim, Blaire, who is a best-selling crime author, starts to dig and look for her own answers.
Throughout this book, we get POVs from both Kate and Blaire. Blaire, on her mission to find the murderer and Kate, who is becoming overwhelmed with anxiety and can't trust herself on what she did and did not do.
The authors did a great job early on with introducing the characters who are potential suspects. It definitely kept me guessing. The ending chapter with Blaire' POV was great, too. I only gave it three stars, because I didn't feel it was a psychological thriller. It was more of a murder mystery/whodonit. It was an easy, fast read, though, as I flew through it--especially the last half.

I really wanted to like this book as I loved their book The Last Mrs. Parrish. Unfortunately this didn’t hold a candle to that book. It was sloppy, too many red herring suspects and not believable at all. Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book. I wish I could give a better review. Many people may love this book but I was not one of them.

I loved Liv Constantine's first book so I was really looking forward to this one. Slightly predictable, but I found it to be well-written as well as an enjoyable, quick read. I would have liked a little more mystery and a lot more twists.

I do enjoy her writing style and look forward to seeing what this author comes up with next!

This was a good twisty read. As good as The Last Mrs. Parrish? No, not even close but it was an enjoyable murder mystery.

Kate's mother Lily is murdered and there are numerous people under suspicion. But is the murderer after Kate also? Her old friend Blaire arrives and begins to use her mystery writing skills to figure out who is stalking Kate! The twists and turns of the story keep you guessing.
