#Susan Mallery's woman's fiction books are filled with romance,  heartwarming heart bonds and family fixable drama..and this book Summer of Sunshine and Margot doesn't disappoint.
Being a twin myself, I was captivated to read this "twin story" .  Their twinhood bond always remains no matter the distance between them.
Even tho one is 8 minutes older, those minutes do make a difference in each one having their own personality, I know..because Im 8 minutes younger than my identical twin sister and we are two seperate women with different ideas and likes and dislikes.
Sunshine and Margot , both with broken past lovelifes and abondonment by their mother when very young, they still have hopes and dreams they follow .Raised by their grandmother, they are able to grow up with two seperate careers and independent in their own ways. One a nanny, one a beauty pageant etiquette teacher.
.Sunshine, the more outgoing sister, pretty and poised and can attract a man easily...she wants a serious commitment now & dedicates herself to change her past abondonment issues in her nanny jobs ,and not to run away again when a man has used her. She realizes she hurts the children emotionally because she secretly leaves them when she is hurt by a man.
She moves in a new house with 8 yr old Conner, son of widower Declan, who he too is trying to resolve his hurt with his not so ex wife, who he forcefully had to remain with because she was dying.
Sunshine also  returns to college, where she is struggling to pass but wants to succeed  and at the same time, She is making sure Connor's daily needs are met , including  with his love of ants. Declan sees alot of dedication to his son and enjoying what she does to make Conner happy and he also finding he feels happy too.
Sunshine doesnt take the hint from him ; he is falling in love with her and yet he is trying to stay distant and not scare her away.
She has become more loyal now and wouldnt dream of hurting Connor when she finds attracted to Declan too. An incident between she and Declan, the phone sex...makes her want to leave....again.
Margot. the conservative twin, has her hands full with a new project , to train the free spirited soon to be 60 yr old Bianca ,an occassional movie actress still ,has to fit in a new life....soon marrying diplomat Wesley.
Margot feels Wesley should just accept his fiancee as she is, but after seeing Bianca's antics and ways, she will need to be more toned down around her new life once she marries into it.
Bianca ends up teaching Margot a few lessons of her own about love when it comes to her son,Alec.
They live in the monastry gardens mansion . Alec isnt too happy that his mother hires Margot.Yet he has some hope that his mother can become more polite ,staid & likeable. He expects failure. His mother has money, also flipped investment properties.
Margot does research on this family, and is more interested in Alec's life. A scholar who inherits the monastery & turns it into a research center of written ancient works.
Its very interesting reading about the monastry gardens in the middle of Pasadena and Susan did a well research of them. I love gardening,so this part of the story was wonderful.
Alec finds out a secret about his mother Bianca, and why she is how she is. Perhaps she is the key to helping him discover his own lovelife and not to let it slip away. Margot's decision leaving the mansion, and he realizes how much he misses her.
A story of bonds between relationships and loving heart of  sisterhood. Susan's books have witty, fun loving moments with her characters,as always.
Thank you #Netgalley for giving me a pre read before the release of another #Susan Mallery best seller.

A perfect summer read!
Sunshine and Margot may be twins, but they have vastly different life experiences. Margot is a career woman who keep falling for the same bad for her guy. Margot is a relationship drifter who has followed many guys. Both women want to change their approach to relationships.
This story follow the two sisters as they each embark on a new chapter. This story has everything you might expect from Susan Mallory: fun, witty characters; sweet, poignant moments; and even some steamy romance.

The Summer of Sunshine and Margot was a delightful Summer read.
I found the relationship and bond between sisters sweet, considering their troubled upbringing and issues with abandonment.
Despite being fraternal twins, each sister had their own issues and complexities. It was admirable watching the sisters start down a path to make their lives better. The characters were relatable and likeable. I enjoyed the two love stories that developed separately and how the stories intertwined. It is not a complex story, but simply an enjoyable read.

Fraternal twins Margot and Sunshine Baxter couldn’t be more different. Margot, a tall, slim etiquette coach, knows how to appear confident and in control. Sunshine, a nanny, just wants men to look beyond her hourglass figure and see her as a person, not just a plaything. The one thing they do have in common is making disastrous choices in men.

Margot takes a job helping an aging movie star who wants to fit in with her fiancé’s diplomatic job and Sunshine cares for a young boy who has lost his mom to cancer. Both jobs come with a “perfect” man. Will they finally get it right?

I am a big Susan Mallery fan. Her characters are real and have real issues, but work things out. A great HEA story.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early copy of this book.

Sunshine and Margot are twins who are both at pivotal moments in their lives. They were raised by a grandmother, a beauty pageant consultant, and neither were able to live up to her standards. Sunshine escaped into a series of unsuitable boyfriends while Margot made just one, very unfortunate choice. Now Sunshine is the nanny to an adorable little boy and his widower father while Margo is an etiquette expert. Margot's latest client is an eccentric actress who wants to learn how to navigate in her soon-to-be husband's world of being an ambassador. They're staying at the home of the actress's son, a scholar who specializes in old manuscripts.

This is a lovely story of two sisters. If you are looking for a romance novel, this isn't one. The HEA is sort of wedged in at the end and I felt like the book suffered for it.

I started this book a while ago and stopped early on due to other commitments getting in the way of my reading. However, I was able to pick right back up where I left off some significant time later. It did not take long to jog my memory of what was happening in the storyline and who the characters were.

I enjoyed getting to know the sisters and each of their stories as the book progressed. Of course I liked the happily ever after ending. I thought this was another well written book by Susan Mallery and I would recommend it to fellow readers.

*I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Wow! I absolutely loved The Summer of Sunsine and Margot. This has to be my favorite Susan Mallery book.
Not only is the cover stunning the story inside is absolutely amazing. I fell in love with Sunshine and Margot from their first chapter and was rooting in their corners along the twists and turns of their lives and careers.
I found that I could not put this book down and definately did not want it to end.
I was given an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

This is an enjoyable read by a favourite author of mine. I love the feel of Susan Mallory books - even when there’s not much happening, the style of her writing is amusing and her characters come to life on the page.
Sisters Sunshine and Margot are opposites but still have an enviable closeness. They’ve been through a lot in their lives and it’s nice to read a romance novel where the female characters have had a past they’re not altogether proud of but have become stronger for it.
No big surprises but a happy day’s reading with a smile on my face.

This was actually one of my least favorite Susan Mallery books. I was rather bored with it and had to force myself to finish it for this review.

Sunshine and Margot are fraternal twins who both want to make changes in their lives. Sunshine is a nanny who has a history of dropping her clients (without notice) following men around the world. She desperately wants to improve herself by going to college and finding a man who wants her for more than her curves. When she moves in to become the nanny to 8 year old Connor whose Mother has recently passed away, she has good intentions to keep the relationship with his father Declan purely professional.

Margot is an etiquette coach who has a history of dropping everything to follow her now ex-boyfriend around the world, much to the detriment of her professional life. Recently however she is feeling more settled with a new career and a decision to focus on her work. Bianca is an aging movie star, and Margot's newest client, who comes with a history of outrageous behaviour which needs to be tamed to take on her new upcoming life as a diplomat's wife. The task is a challenging one, particularly because Bianca lives with her son Alec and Margot must live in while coaching Bianca.

This is my first Susan Mallery read and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. The bond between the sisters who were raised in very difficult circumstances is touching and highlighted. The love of Sunshine and Connor, while perhaps a little too easy, is heartwarming. I appreciated the antics of complex character of Bianca which brought me several LOL moments. I'd love to see her featured in another Mallery book.

I'd rate this book 4.5/5 stars (rounded up to 5).

I always enjoy books by Susan Mallery but this is one of my favorites! Fraternal twin sisters, Margot and Sunshine have had to overcome a lot but have become exceptional women in their own right. They begin new chapters in their lives as they start new jobs and meet men of substance. They learn so much about themselves and are able to put the past behind them and thrive. The characters are so well written I felt like I knew them personally and couldn't put this book down once I started it. Lots of humor, love, and wisdom makes this novel a great read!

Ms. Mallery's done it again. For the past several books Ms. Mallery has started writing books where there is more than one heroine/hero. In the beginning it took some adjustment on my part but now it adds so much layer and character building in the storylines. The Summer of Sunshine and Margot are two sisters who have had bad past experience with relationships and both have sworn off. Margot moves in with an aging movie star and her son. Margot is counseling the aging movie star Biance and Sunshine has started a nanny position with a single dad. The storyline and chapters go back and forth between the two sisters story and their intended suitors. Bianca the aging moviestar brings alot of comedy relief and you can imagine in full color the different antics that she does. Review on goodreads and amazon.

I’ve been a fan of Susan Mallery’s for many years so I was excited to receive an advanced e-copy of The Summer of Sunshine and Margot. This story is about fraternal twins, Sunshine and Margot. Sunshine is a nanny and Margot is an etiquette coach. The twins were raised by their great grandmother as it seems all the women in their family have relationship issues. Sunshine is the nanny to Connor, an adorable 8 year old who is dealing with the loss of his mother. Connor’s father is ruggedly handsome landscape architect, Declan. Margot’s latest client is actress Bianca Wray, who’s son Alec is the dashingly handsome historian who lives in a former monestery. These characters are very warm and I honestly don’t know who I loved more (yes I do-Alec, I mean who wouldn’t love a handsome historian?). This was a typical Susan Mallery story and it was a really good one. Great, easy beach or summer romantic read.

Thank you to the publisher for the advanced e-book! I look forward to reading more in the future. #netgalley #thesummerofsunshineandmargot

The Summer of Sunshine and Margot is one of the better books I have read in a long time. Two sisters who are so different and yet they each have trouble in the romance department. I was immediately hooked on Margot's story and wanted it to continue when Sunshine's story was introduced. However, there was something so charming about Sunshine's story that I enjoyed it too. This is the perfect summer read. Great characters (including the secondary ones), wonderful story and a HE for all. :)

Sweet and sexy romance for two very different sisters in Southern California. Raised by their great grandmother, fraternal twins in their 30s, each looking to make better choices.

Margot is classy and tall and teaches manners and etiquette. Sunshine is funny and curvy and she’s a nanny. They both fall in love during the same summer. It’s a fast paced read with charming characters. There are two pretty heavy sex scenes that took me by surprise. Well done scenes but I wasn’t expecting it!
