Two romances set apart by two world wars, yet both intense and stunning. One woman creates an extended family that spans before the great war into a post WW II world. From the Germany to Switzerland to the glamour of the Bahamas during the stay of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

What I really enjoyed was the intrigue. How each person tried to do what they thought was the "right" thing in times when right and wrong are blurred.

I absolutely am a fan of Beatriz William's and this novel is an prime example of why .Every one of her novels takes you on an amazing journey. The Golden Hour tells the story of LuLu and Elfriede, I am usually not a fan of jumping back and forth in different time periods but the storyline flows together perfectly. You need both stories to tell the tale, I was completely absorbed in both women's stories. And I learned more about England's scandal of the abdicated king and Mrs. Simpson. If you are a fan of novels with romance, espionage and murder this one's for you! This is a comfy chair, cup of tea and an afternoon of getting lost in a great read book!
Many thanks to the Publishing House and Netgalley for allowing me to read this early... I have already ordered it for my library and will definitely recommend it to the book group I host!
