To Tame a Wild Cowboy features a marriage of convenience romance between a cowboy and the one woman resistant to his charms.

Rhett Lockhart is living it up on the circuit, from riding bulls to bedding any and all willing women. But that all comes crashing down when Rhett discovers an abandoned infant in the hospital is his child. Rhett knows it's time to turn his life around, but the baby's foster mother doesn't believe he's willing to actually change. Tara Alzate grew up with the Lockharts and knows just how irresponsible Rhett can be. But with the prospect of losing Julie, the two decide to enter into a marriage of convenience to keep her close.

I'll just come out and say I didn't like this book very much and Rhett is the primary reason why. He's a terrible person and I can find no redeeming qualities in him that would make him a good romance hero. He calls all women sweetheart to make up for the fact he doesn't remember their names, believes he can charm his way out of any situation, and finds ways around doing the right thing just so he can have what he wants. In a word, he's selfish and honestly I didn't feel like that changed over the course of the book. By the book's end I hated him just as much as I did when he was introduced.

Tara started out as a character I enjoyed but that slowly went away over the course of the book. Initially she's strong, stands up for the helpless child in her care, and doesn't cater to Rhett's every whim. I thought she would be good at standing up to Rhett and telling him the way he does things is wrong. Unfortunately as the book went on, she lost her spark and slowly started giving in to Rhett just because she was attracted to him or the sex was good. Sadly that made her a heroine I couldn't root for.

The one thing I did like about this book was the extensive group of side characters. Both Rhett and Tara have a number of siblings who appear frequently throughout the book and I'm definitely interested in some of their stories. I will admit I find it a bit odd that their siblings are married to one another, but it's not a huge deterrent for me. So I may come back to the series at some point in the future to read their books, but after this one I won't be in a rush to do so.

Overall To Tame a Wild Cowboy was a disappointing read and definitely not the book for me.

Fast read, and well-written enough. A little unbelievable but I also think that’s what you’re signing up for when you read this type of book.

Thank you to Netgalley for the free arc in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a cute typically romance book. It was predictable, but sometimes those are the best. I love the whole bad boy cowboy hero. Nothing like a rugged bad boy.

With a handsome cowboy, an adorable baby, an d a feisty foster mom not quite ready to give the real dad a chance, To Tame a Wild Cowboy engages the reader with a sweet story straight from the heart of the author. Rhett may swoon hearts with his smile, but it is his dedication to his daughter that will win over readers. A too cute Cupid, TX tale!!

If I were judging by the first 80% of the book, I would have given it 5 stars. The problem is the last 20% felt incredibly rushed. It was as if the author hit a certain point and was like okay, I've hit the number of pages/words I wanted so I'm done now. The ending felt incredible rushed. I would have loved to see more time spent developing the rest of the book. The beginning was sort of slow burn but the end was super quick. It just didn't work.

I really enjoyed reading this latest Cupid, Texas novel. It is a great standalone story and there are enough references to earlier couples to follow the story line.

Rhett Lockhart cannot believe that he's a daddy to a newborn preemie girl and he's afraid that he may have to give up his dream of pro rodeo championship to care for her. Tara Algate is the NICU nurse who has cared for the infant up till now and doesn't believe that Rhett will step up to care for the baby and she wants to adopt her. Both Rhett and Tara give and compromise a bit in order to take care of the little one and the changes are hard for both of them. What will it take for these two stubborn people to become a family?

Thanks to the publisher and to NetGalley for an ARC; all opinions are my own.

Book seven in the Cupid, Texas series a well written book that I was not putting down until I finished reading it. I am going to see about getting it on Audible so I can listen to this book at some time later. Tara Alzate and Rhett Lockhart will have a lot to go through to get their and baby Julie's happy ending. I will be looking at other books in this series. I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing.

This was an amazing book and I love almost everything that Lori Wilde writes. This had a little of everything and the romance was off the charts!!! It had me smiling, laughing and all-around enjoying this bad boy. Everyone should read this book especially if you love cowboys!!

I voluntarily read this advanced copy from NetGalley

Loved reading the fabulous and fantastic romance story. Tara has been a foster mother to a premature baby, Julie, and is hoping to adopt her, but when Rhett discovers and holds his baby, Julie, he wants to file for adoption. Read the highly recommended and wonderfully written love story.
I reviewed a copy of the book through NetGalley.

Could not put this thrilling, emotional, action packed journey down, a exciting read from beginning to end. Really loved this sexy, witty battle of wills and struggle to fight the undeniable passion simmering between these two intriguing charters. Heartwarming and entertaining reading experience.

A sweet and fun baby story :) Rhett is a great character and Tara is fantastic! some humor, emotions, and anguish to round it all out.

Tara has known Rhett since they were children but she never expected to find out that the abandoned baby she is fostering would be his. Can they work together to do the best thing for the baby. ARC.

This was just an okay book. Both characters bothered me so much with their attitudes. The story line had so much potential and it fell flat. I definitely skimmed parts because it didn't keep my attention.

So many others have given summaries of the story so I will refrain from repeating it.

This story sounded interesting from the blurb, but it was just OK for me. Tara was a little too self-righteous at times and Rhett was the cliche love 'em and leave 'em cowboy who got someone pregnant. Their backstory was nice, but I sometimes felt myself skimming a little. The last quarter of the story was a mashup of many different things and didn't feel cohesive.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. You can always depend on Lori to bring a bit of life to the forefront. What could be worse than the threat of losing one's child, especially after working so hard to come to the conclusion you wanted to parent that child. Julie brought together two soulmates when they thought there couldn't possibly be a match. Add to their heartache is a hard-nosed judge that forced Rhett to re-evaluate what was important in his life. This was an extremely sensitive subject matter that made me cry! Now, I want to crawl into the book and live forever in their lives. Now, the rest of the story.......

This book has it all, a sexy cowboy, a cute baby and marriage of convenience. Rhett, is at the top of his career in bull riding when he finds out he has a four month baby girl, Julia. Rhett has always been a romance with no string attached kind of guy. Julia will change everything in his life, especially when he finds out the foster mother is his childhood teenage babysitter, Tara. Tara, has been caring for Julia while in the NICU and now is fostering Julia, and hoping for her forever with Julia. Rhett offers Tara a marriage of convenience, to help gain custody of his daughter, but soon they can't deny the chemistry between them.

This is book that I could not put down, love how tough Rhett was on the outside but with Julia he would just melt. Great chemistry between Rhett and Tara, sweet but sexy. This is part of series but can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this book.

Rhett is a wild panty dropping cowboy . He is unafraid of getting a girl pregnant and stirs clear of mother's until he finds out he got one weekend stand rhona pregnant.rhona got around and wasn't sure if rhett was the father. Claudio a fellow bull rider wanted the baby to be his. Tara the nurse and Foster mother desperate ly wants Julie and devices a way to get Julie and save Rhett's career by getting married. Tara and Rhett start to think that marriage may be for real and have feelings for each other. I liked the change in Rhett and what Tara and Julie brought out in him . I don't like the name Julie. I thought rhona was unresponsible and should take measures to not have children especially when there's women like Tara struggling to have children and desperate to have them.

When I first starting reading I was a little annoyed that we have yet again another man-ho and him with a woman that had nothing to do with the story, again annoyed. That being said I got why the author did it, she did to explain how Rhett was and why Tara felt the way she did. I am thinking that there are some previous books to this family since they were mentioned in the story and I wondered about them, not that I was lost because I wasn't but just after some of the things that were mentioned I will check into it. Tara annoyed me with her self righteousness and her snappy attitude, I got where she was coming from but after a while I was thinking all right time to chill with it, of course after the back in forth with her thinking and being stuck with the same mindset she finally decided to give Rhett a chance and were able to have a life together. I didn't understand why author would have her have an operation and then she would be ok, I didn't think the story needed and realistically not everyone would have it work out and wish it would have stayed that way and not enter wonderland.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I also purchased a copy.

I totally fell in love with Julie, Tara and Rhett. Rhett had a one-night stand with Rhona and she became pregnant. She was only 21 and had little Julie two months early after a 14 hour labor. Being young and unable to cope, she abandons her baby in the hospital as she leaves in the middle of the night. She named 4 men that could be possible fathers. The winning bull-rider that was named the father was Rhett Lockhart. Rhett is a 28 year old pro bull-rider in the PBR circuit. He is having a great year and on track to win the title in November.

He goes to see the baby and discovers that Julie's foster mother is none other than Tara Alzate. The Alzate and Lockhart families are intertwined with each other. Two of Tara's sisters are married to two of his brothers. Tara is four years older than Rhett and used to baby-sit him. Tara knows all about Rhett's wild ways with the buckle bunnies. In fact, Rhett used to date her younger sister Aria!!!

The scenes that take place with this story will take you on a roller-coaster ride. I experienced so many emotions here. I was glued to my e-reader as I read this. The story played out like a movie. I really hated to see this story end. The Epilogue was a joy to read and really sealed the story nicely.

I really felt a connection with these characters. The story was written in a dual POV format. Being able to see into the characters thought process really brought them to life for me.

I highly recommend this story to anyone. There are a couple of bedroom scenes but they aren't erotic in any way.

I read this book as my first time for the series. I'm sure there are spots, but nothing that would beat you over the head or make it hard to follow the story.
Overall it's a well written story with good character development. Rhett is the devil may care bull rider who unexpectedly finds out he has an infant daughter. Tara is a NICU nurse whose fostering and wants to adopt the baby. Can they be allies and fight together or will they stay on opposite sides?
