The second novel in the Hansen Brothers series is a good one. It tells of the redemption of brother number two, Nate, from man whore, player to unexpected husband and father. All Nate really wants for his life is to turn the thing around by working hard and proving his worth to the people who only see his notorious past. Enter Joy Mitchell, a young widow with am eighteen month old son. She is desperately trying to hold onto her husband’s farm and keep her mean, bully father-in-law from getting his hands on it. Her plan involves a newspaper ad husband and Nate takes the job. Their battles with the in-law are not over. They are just beginning.

This was a well written romance with a twist. It had endearing characters and an intriguing storyline. This is the first book that I have read by this author but, it definitely won't be the last. I loved her writing style and the way the storyline flowed seamlessly. I would definitely recommend this book.

Joy and her son Toby live on a ranch left to them by Joys husband Bradley. Her ex father in law is tryign to take the ranch form her so she puts out an advert for a husband. Nate applies for the job.

I enjoyed this book, but it was very short, i had read it in just over an hour.

This is my second book by Ann B. Harrison. The first one I read was the first book of The Hansen Brothers series "Cowboy to the Rescue." I loved that book, but the second book is even more amazing! The description is so different than any other book out there - a job offer that comes with marriage. Nate and Joy are such great characters. Joy is just trying to raise her son Toby, take care of her house and a ranch. She's still grieving from the loss of her husband and her father-in-law is trying to take the ranch away from her. That's when she hatches the plan to hire some to take care of the ranch and marry her. Nate is a drinker and a ladies man is trying to change his ways and build his future. After failing to find work he hears about Joy's ad not knowing it's also looking for a husband. After some deliberation though, Nate agrees to be her husband. They both come to care so much for each other and the ranch, but one thing after another keeps coming between them. This book has all the drama I love and will keep you reading all the way through. Their love story is so beautiful. I can't wait for her next book!

THE CONVENIENT COWBOY by Ann B. Harrison. This was an enjoyable read. I liked the premise of the story - a playboy takes a job as a husband. It was pleasant to see Nate and Joy follow their hearts, even if it was a bit of a journey with some ups and downs. I especially enjoyed watching Nate with Joy's son - it was so sweet. I did like this story and look forward to future books by this author. (received ARC for honest review)

The second book of The Hansen Brothers series and I must say it’s even better than the first. I really enjoyed Cowboy to the Rescue but this book was in my opinion so much better.

It might be the premise of the book that made it stood out I guess. You don’t often read about marriage through the add that comes with a job offer.

Nate with his wild past and not quite popular in the town is doing everything to build his future. He’s tried changing his lifestyle, working hard, avoiding short term relationships with women but prejudice of town folks is pretty set against him.

When he struggles to find a permanent job and stumbles across opportunity at Joy’s ranch, he doesn’t hesitate for even a minute. Little does he know that this job comes with a bit more than he imagined. It comes with marriage, family, son…

Joy is finding it extremely difficult to keep her ranch business afloat. With never-ending attacks from her father in law, threats, she feels it won’t take long and she will lose her husbands legacy. Joy needs help, she needs man by her side to help her protect it.

Unlike couple signs a contract, gets married and do their best to protect what is theirs. Is it going to be enough? If the man with power decides to take it away from them, what more can they do to keep their grasp on the ranch?

When you feel down, when you are stressed or just fancy quick and easy read, this book is your perfect pick. Whether you read the book one or not, you can just read it as standalone and will get into the story pretty easy. Now I can’t wait for the book three as there is yet another cowboy brother we need to see to fall in love. And it’s going to be a good one!

This is the second book in this series and I am absolutely loving it. This book was about Nate and Joy. Nate was trying really hard to change his ways. He is known around town for his man whoring ways. He loves to drink and he loves the ladies. Joy is trying to raise her son Toby and take care of a ranch and a house. She is still grieving the loss of her husband who died a while ago. Joy's father in law is trying really hard to take the ranch away from her. She comes up with a plan. She advertises for a husband. Nate comes looking for a job not realizing what the job really is. After some deliberation he agrees to be her husband. I have fallen so much in love with this story. Both characters have so much self doubt in themselves. They both care so much for each other and for the ranch. One thing after another keeps coming between them. This book is full of so much love and so much drama it will keep you reading well into the night. I could not put it down. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ann B. Harrison continues her Hansen Brothers series with The Convenient Cowboy (book 2). This story can be read as a standalone, but I would definitely recommend reading the series from the beginning to truly appreciate the characters and the roles they play within each story.

The Convenient Cowboy is Nate and Joy’s story and follows a man trying to shake his playboy image, and a single mother trying to make ends meet and keep the home she wants to pass along to her son. Naturally their story has its ups and downs, but the plot is intriguing and will keep readers interested from start to finish. I’m looking forward to the next in the series.

I loved the story of Nate Hansen and Joy Mitchell. It is so clear that the Hansen brothers have so much more heart than their hardscramble upbringing would suggest. This story comes on the heels of Jethro’s and Sadie’s romance and another ranch to be saved. The Hansen ranch can’t support all 3 brothers but Nate’s reputation makes it hard for him to find a job. Joy is looking for not just a ranch hand but a husband to protect her and her toddler son from her late husband’s father’s attempts to get her ranch. Yes, the husband idea is far fetched but the book acknowledges that, which is refreshing. Nate constantly struggles with feeling unworthy of Joy and Joy finds it hard to trust when her own father law is trying to destroy what she and her late husband built. But Nate shows himself to be a man of true, deep character and heart. In the end, Nate, Joy and her son Toby all get more than they bargained for - a true family.

This is Joy and Nate’s story and Toby’s. Nate was desperate for a job, he was desperately trying to turn his life around. Joy needed a “husband”, a husband wouldn’t be lured away by Ryan (her late husbands father who was battling her for the farm).
Nate developed a bond with Toby (Joy’s toddler) and that bond is cemented when Toby calls him Dada.
Will Joy, Nate and Toby win the land battle or will Ryan Mitchell’s bullying ways prevail?

The Convenient Cowboy is the second book in the Hansen Brothers series. It is a stand-alone book, but I recommend reading the first book in the series to appreciate all he characters. I love stories with cowboys. I especially like how this Cowboy is trying to improve his reputation and become a better man.

The Convenient Cowboy by Ann B. Harrison is book 2 in "The Hansen Brothers " series. You will always have a little more background information on the characters if you have read the other books in the series, but it´s written as a stand alone type of book.
I just love books like this where you are being swept into the story from the very beginning and won´t stop reading until the very last page. It´s a great story with depth, feeling and a good setting.

THE CONVENIENT COWBOY by Ann B. Harrison is an easy read, a single mom romance. Joy has been struggling since her husband's death 16 months ago. She's been trying to run her ranch in her own while raising her son. Nate's been trying to find employment and clean up his reputation. This is the second book in the Hansen Brother's Series.

This was an unusual storyline, woman requires husband not other war round. Nate is a playboy and wants to change so he marries Joy. She needs a husband to help her save the ranch for her and her young son. The father in law is a devious character who tries horrible tricks to get her to leave. It is an easy read with a predictable and happy ending.

Nate is trying to reform his playboy image, and is trying to keep a steady job in Marietta, Montana. Joy, a young widow with an 18 month old son, is struggling to keep the ranch going, and away from her father-in-law who wants to take it from her. She puts an ad in the paper for a husband, and Nate shows up. Though to his credit he is just there for a ranch job, but does agree to marry her. Both have issues to overcome, including the fight from her FIL. A bully with little redeeming qualities, but he still has to be dealt with. Enjoyed this one, and really liked the characters. Her little boy is a sweetie too. Highly recommend this book and author.

A great addition to The Hansen Brothers series. The Convenient Cowboy by Ann B. Harrison. I've enjoyed the storyline and character development in this book. Nate with his playboy image that he's trying to change. Joy a widow needing help with her ranch and her father in law wanting it. I really enjoyed Joy's son Toby he just added so much to the story. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

I love this series. The Hansen boys are overcoming a hard past one by one. Their father's desertion and their mother's death, left three angry young boys in the care of an aging grandfather. He did his best by the boys, and some of the lessons he taught helped them after his death. The eldest Jethro, found the love of his life, Sadie, while dealing with his grandfather's death in the first book in the series.
Now it's Nate's turn. Nate who until now had been a love 'em and leave 'em scrapper.
Unable to find a steady job, he applies for one he's been told about, but he wasn't told the job required that he marry...his boss, Joy.
Joy is just trying to hold onto the ranch her deceased husband left for her son. Her in laws are trying to snatch it from her, but Nate and Sadie are determined that Joy will keep it and despite the in laws efforts, not only succeed, but become a true love story.
I requested this ARC from NetGalley and enjoyed it immensely. I recommend it to anyone who loves a strong but sweet alpha cowboy.

The story of Joy and Nate.

Joy's husband died, leaving the ranch to her and their son, but her Father in law wants the ranch for himself and tries to undermine Joy at any opportunity. In an attempt to stop him, she looks for a replacement husband to help her on the ranch and support her against her father in law.
Nate needs a job, but doesn't want to get married. He ends up agreeing, and as they spend more time together they get closer, so will the marriage of convenience end up meaning more to them than just business?
