This was OK. The author shows promise. It has good pacing and an interesing plot, but just didn't have that "it" factor that made it great. If you're seeking a thriller with a little magic mixed in, you'll probably like this.

American Magic provides intense action, exciting paranormal ideas, and defined characters. The descriptive story gives enough detail to draw the reader in and propel them through the fast-paced story. The mix of character, story, and action offers intrigue and a solid tale. As a reader I enjoyed the mix of reality and magic. The epilogue provides the beginning of another tale.
