This is definitely a collection for adults. Let's get that out of the way first. But, overall, these comics are pretty funny. The drawings are simple, but some of the panels are still pretty amusing. I'd never actually seen the Safely Endangered comics before, but I wouldn't mind seeing more of them.

I'm not sure what else there is to say about the collection. There are some gory, graphic panels, along with some rather astute observational ones. (Much of the book could be suitable for teens or even younger, but there are those few comics that push it right into the adult category, so be aware of that and don't get lulled into a sense of safety by the first tame one.)

Safely Endangered Comics is a quick and fun read that left me chuckling throughout. A "best of" compilation of comic strips that originally appeared on the Safely Endangered web site, these cover a wide range of subject matter, from sibling rivalry to geek culture, Be prepared for plenty of clever wordplay and more than a few groan-inducing puns, and some of the illustrations are especially appealing to those of us whose sense of humor is just a little but twisted (I'll admit, I felt a tiny bit guilty for laughing at times...).

Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable little collection that I know I'll end up flipping through repeatedly..

This is a very entertaining selection of comics. I laughed out all the way through as I read it.

Simple artwork, many times with a funny twist and off beat humor. If you like to laugh this is a good book to get.

I am already following the author's Instagram account, so I did not hesitate to request this comic here on NetGalley. McCoy made the puns and even the everyday day life scenario more funny with the cute, and simple art style. Its broad morbid sense of humor will definitely appeal to any age. If you want a quick, good laugh read, you should definitely pick this one.

Thanks, NetGalley for providing the arc!

4/5 stars!

Reviewing collections of stand-alone webcomics is tricky. Each page is a new story unrelated to any that have come before, or any that will follow it. So that means no plot overview. And without a concrete plot-like element to talk about, what do I talk about? Other than waffling about how difficult it is to be me, of course.
Well, fortunately for me, Safely Endangered Comics, the first collection of the webcomic of the same name, streamlines the process for me by being really, really funny. Most of the time. It has a slightly higher gem-to-dud ratio than I would like to see in a collection, but not by too much. The art is fully cartoony, and helps sell the gags that are ever so dark and serious.
Safely Endangered does an effective job of balancing the style and dynamic of its jokes, making it a very readable collection. Fans of webcomics with a dark sensibility are strongly encouraged to give this a shot.
CONTENT NOTE: Don’t let the cheerful cartoon vibe fool you. The jokes in this collection are dark, and include some graphic violence. It’s all done in the name of the joke, but this is definitely not a title for young kids.

If you enjoy this web comic, you will definitely love this book! I couldn't put it down. I recognized a few of the comics but most of them were new to me. Laugh out loud funny. I wish it was longer!

I follow the author on Instagram and always love his cartoon. The comic capture our daily life, sometimes seen as mundane and add a little twist of humor.

Overall this is very enjoyable to read

Review to be posted on all sources mentioned in my profile when the release date is closer by.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I was absolutely squealing in delight when I spotted this book on Netgalley, this is one of the books in 2019 that I needed in my life, and now I had a chance to read it before the release date. Eep! Of course, I will still buy it as soon as it comes out.

I have loved Safely Endangered Comics for a long time now, I got hooked to it one day while browsing WebToons, and now I look forward to each time there is a new comic. Sometimes they don't work (due to the topic) but generally I laugh my butt off while reading them. It helps that the artists makes the comics have a nice twist that at times you can see coming, but at times totally not. You expect it to go one way and then boom, something else happens.

Since I have been following this comic on WebToons for some time I am not sure if there were any new comics in this one or if they are all old ones. I can just say that I enjoyed them all. I also Whatsapped several to my fiance as he is also a fan of this comic and was just as excited as I was when I got the chance to read this one on Netgalley.

The art style is a very fun one and fits the silliness of the comics.

All in all, I can't wait for this one to be released so I can add it to my collection. Now I can only hope more WebToon artists will also make a book with their comics.

I'm very familiar with safely endangered comics. I'm not sure how long they've been around but to me they seem like a staple of the internet. I feel like probably everyone has seen some by now.

So with that being said I knew I was going to enjoy this and I did! The only negative I can say is I was expecting some new work but a lot of these I've seen already and are really popular. It's more of a collection of their most popular works.

Really cute relatable stuff.

Some webcomics should stay as such and not be collected in book form. This is one of these webcomics.

The only finished it because it was short because if it wasn't I wouldn't have.

I loved this collection. I have seen some of these comics on the internet, but never knew who the artist was. I will definitely need to buy this one when it comes out.

This was the first ebook with illustrations I have encountered. I was happy with the quality and size of the pictures and text. From the cover I gleaned that is was a upbeat comic book but I would categorize it as mostly cynical. There were some funny sequences but overall not my type of humor. However, I did find the Facebook post/correcting grammar comic relatable and showed that to some friends.

A collection of the Safely Endangered webcomic which skewers a lot of modern life. Often very sarcastic and very funny.

Sad to say, the book did not come through in this download. Please contact me if you would like to send a hard copy or try a digital alternative. I would still be glad to provide a review.

I enjoyed this, but unfortunately I'd read a lot of them before because I follow McCoy on instagram and a lot of the content from this book was originally posted there. A lot of the comics are funny though.

Safely Endangered was a lot of fun! I wasn't really familiar with the webcomic, but after reading the book I'm sure I've seen some before. The comics were light and observant, and there was just the right mix to keep it fresh all through the book. Nice to see the references to many books/movies/games.

Enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

If you love Chris McCoy and his own brand of humor, you will love having, what I presume, are his best comics in one handy book.

If you find his humor off-putting, and a little sick, then, of course, don't pick up this book.

I am one of the latter. Of his cartoons, I found the ones below enough to at least say, oh, that is funny and not sick. Let me give that as an example.

His humor tends to skew towards the gross side, which is something I do not need a whole book of.

Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for and honest review.

Fans of "Safely Endangered Comics" will enjoy a collection of the classics from one of their favorites webecomics.. Meanwhile, those who are new to Chris McCoy's work will be very pleasantly surprised by a collection of strips that take hilariously ridiculous takes on everything from Pokemon to sentient fruit. In short - this is a book that a heck of a lot of people going to be able to enjoy.

Cute drawing but probably best for people familiar with the web comic. It wasn’t really my type of humor. Also, not for children.
