Just wow!! I thought I was the only one that was disappointed in this book!
So glad to find that am I not!
I too love anything circus but after watching the Greatest Showman this book was sort of a let down.
There were too many grammar errors and I just couldn't connect. I'm sad about this because normally I can connect.
The storyline was ok but it could've been better.
My thanks to Netgalley. NO compensations were received and all opinions are my own.

I LOVE anything circus related. Anything. I desperately wanted to love this book. Unfortunately, I just couldn't do it. Grammatical errors, poor editing and awkward interactions between the characters aside, I couldn't get into the story. I kept feeling like I was missing some important facts that weren't given.

Disappointed as The Birth of the Ringmaster was one that I was really looking forward to.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book to read and provide my honest opinion.

While I really appreciated getting to read this book, this book just didn't speak to me at all and I wasn't a fan. The author has a good style of writing, however there were many grammatical errors throughout the story and it just didn't flow as smooth as other reads.

I normally like anything circus related but it was hard to really get into this book.
I would definitely try to read something else by this author and I do give them an A for effort.

To be honest, I did not enjoy this book at all; hence did not finish it. Hesitating to review an unfinished book, I will merely say that it did not engage with me at all. Even though I love any circus-related literature, this disappointed.

Thank you, NetGalley, for this free book.

I'm not sure where to begin with this book. I was not at all engaged with the story or the characters. There is no depth or push to really settle in with the storyline. I was waiting for something to happen, but I was sadly disappointed. I do hope the author can flesh out this storyline and create a much more cohesive story.

Sadly I cannot see how this novel has got to the stage of being read by reviewers without a lot more editing. The grammer is appalling with mixed tenses and a general lack of good punctuation and sentence construction. I think the subject matter has great promise but not in its present format.

I love everything Circus. That being said, this book was a giant letdown. I wanted to love it so much. The atmosphere fell flat. The characters were hardly developed. I felt like I was on the outside looking in and never immersed in the story. I’m so bummed I didn’t love this.

I have always been fascinated with stories of circus life. It gives the reader a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on under the big tent, when no one's watching. This fictional tale holds the promise for the author of better things to come.

3 Stars for genuine effort. I love anything circus/carnival related, so this title caught my eye. The first thing a reader needs to realize is that this book has not been properly edited. It needs a lot of work! There are a tremendous amount of spelling and grammatical errors....some of which are confusing. I chose to overlook these and follow the story. There is potential here. My suggestion to the author: get yourself a skilled editor/proofreader and keep on writing.

For Eighteen year old Cassandra, The Golden Circus is everything. It's where she was born, it's where she grew, it's where she belongs. When she and her father losing their job, she can't except the fact that she is no longer relevant for the show business.

So when they come across Magnificent Circus, Cassandra believe that she had found her new home. But there is something odd about this circus. They have almost no idea how to talk, their acts are dreadful, and even those who grew tired of running refuse to leave. What at first seems like an amateur choice, later turned to be a calculated plan. And Cassandra decisions are going to cost her those she loves.

I love everything about circus's, so I was excited to get to read this book. I found it interesting and enjoyed following Cassandra's story about her finding the Magnificent Circus. It's a great story about what you love verses who you love. I also didn't realize that this was book one of a series, so I'm excited to read that next one in the series!

Thank you #NetGalley for the ARC of #TheBirthOfTheRingmaster

I didn't particularly enjoy this book,and I can't really say why.
Looking back,a fair few things happened in not very many pages... but I never felt immersed in the story.
Maybe because it was so short? I've had to give up reading short stories for this reason.
I see it's the first of a trilogy,so wonder if reading them all together might have worked better.
