This book is a breath of fresh air amid so much ugliness on the news. What I found particularly moving is that the goodness revealed here comes from ordinary people who did simple things that ended up making big differences. Hope that *everyone* can make the world a better place, spending our energy on that which betters it rather than complains about it. A must-read for anyone who needs a spark of peace and inspiration. (My favorite story has to do with motorcycle bikers.)

This book was uplifting. Its told in a short story format that makes reading easy to stop and start as needed. In a tense, politically charged environment, this book was pure joy. This book restores hope that people still look out for each other, still care, and still listen. This book was an easy, quick read with great short stories.

A movie producer / author and a journalist collaborated to find uplifting stories of real life kindnesses, the author inspired by the journalist’s Good Sam story about a stranger buying a van for a single mom. The tales of compassion and giving are divided into thematic chapters: Kindness at Any Age, Finding Purpose Through Kindness, Connecting to Others Through Kindness, Unique Ways of Showing Kindness, and Kindness Movements. The Good Sams come in all ages, from children to seniors, answer requests or volunteer where needs are seen, and give from their hearts with no expectations, building unexpected relationships, businesses, and movements. From a 9-year-old inventor to a 100-year-old seamstress, from an interior designer to a farmer, from a veteran to a veterinarian, from bikers to a college student, individuals give back to their community. It’s a definite must-read book of heartwarming humanity. Those seeking the goodness in people will find it here. I was fortunate to receive this wonderful book of true-life stories of compassion in a giveaway.

Thank you Melrose Hill Publishing and Netgalley for this ARC.

Rachel Greco is a journalist who, getting bogged down by all the negative, sad news stories she was immersed in, decided to focus heavily on the positive news stories she found instead,

The result is this wonderful co-authored book of true short stories, all with the common theme of kindness and empathy.

This book will bring smiles, love, awe and tears as you read the amazing things people from all walks of life have done, to help others who are not so fortunate.

How different the news and the world would be if the positive stories where highlighted for the world every day and wars were center d on kindness and empathy.

"Random Acts of Kindness" contains dozens of feel-good stories about ordinary men and women who saw a need and chose to fill it. Dete Meserve and Rachel Greco chronicle these kind acts in this book.
The writing is engaging, and the book is enjoyable to read. I appreciated the quotes about kindness at the end of each chapter. I was surprised, though, that all the random acts of kindness included in this book have received national attention, and I am already familiar with most of them. I was hoping to read stories of unsung heroes.
Ultimately, the book inspires hope and it's a good reminder that kindness still exists and that each of us can practice kindness every day. I know I'm motivated now to look actively for needs and see how many I can fill with kind acts.

This is a book that is a pleasure to read to remind us of good deeds in this day and age. It does not take a lot of work to begin something to bring joy and a smile to others. This book gives examples of such deeds. This is a feel good book. A very good read. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the arc of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner did not have any bearing on my review.

Wonderfully heartwarming true stories about ordinary people doing nice things for others who are down on their luck or just need a helping hand. Many are given without the recipients knowledge.
In this world where so much of the news is about violence, tragedy and sadness, it's so nice to read something good for a change.
Many thanks to the authors Dete Meserve and Rachel Greco for writing this 5 star worthy book. Thanks also go to NetGalley for allowing me to read an arc of this book for my true and unbiased opinion.

A wonderful non-fiction companion to Good Sam, Random Acts of Kindness is a current Chicken Soup for the Soul. Really enjoying these stories-- great solace in tough times. Just bought a bunch to give as gifts!

Dete Meserve and Rachel Greco, authors of “Random Acts of Kindness” have given us a book that shows us this world we live in is not all bad. This book will make you cry with tears of joy. The selfless acts that are happening counteracts the negativity in this world. There are really good people that do things out of the kindness of their heart not for recognition or gain. If we all did one random act of kindness a day this world would be a better place to live. Kindness attracts kindness. This is a very inspirational and emotional book. It will leave you feeling so good. When I see the bad things happening in this world I will be picking this book up to show me there is goodness and restore my faith in humanity. I highly recommend this book. I will be buying several to give to friends and family.

I loved this collection of stories about the better side of human nature. I understand that it was the inspiration for Dete Meserve's novel "Good Sam" and I can see why. This is definitely a "feel good" book that you will find yourself picking up more than once.

I really like the idea of this book - spreading kindness and positivity throughout our lives. However, this book just didn't win me over. Maybe I would have liked it more if it was written in a "children's book" style - with pictures of people helping/influencing each other. Something about the stories had me feeling removed and I wonder how that boundary could be chopped down.

With all of that said, the stories were very kind and heartwarming. This is a good book to pick up on a rainy day or for a quick fix on kind humanity!

Random Acts of Kindness is a collection of uplifting stories that reminds us that there are a whole lot of good people living amongst us in the world. In the midst of the crazy and negative world we live in, it's refreshing to read about people's kind and selfless acts. This is somewhat reminiscent of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books from way back when.

This book was quick and simple but brought a huge smile to my face. Happiness is what this book exudes. My personal motto comes from the Disney live action Cinderella, “Have Courage and Be Kind” and this book is full of individuals that fully encompass this saying. I am so glad I read this book.

I also wanted to note that I loved the inclusion of famous quotes about kindness at the end of each story.

**I received an E-arc of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affects my rating or review of this book.
