GAH.
this was ADORABLE.
might be my favourite LL ever. top 5, at least. i don't know how many i've read exactly - the stiletto series and the love unexpectedly series, and the first two in this series. i've enjoyed them all, some more than others, sure. the thing i love about lauren layne's books is that i always know what i'm getting, my expectations are always met or exceeded. realistic characters, banter, chemistry, just the right amount of conflict and angst - i'm here for it. and this was no different. definitely my favourite out of this series - please tell me there's going to be a fourth about jarod?! i just absolutely adored kennedy and kate, one of my favourite tropes is the unrequited/loved you from afar for ages... gah. sign. me. up.
this was swoony and adorable and just delicious. lots of feelings and everything just flows fabulously and naturally. i laughed, i got a bit teary, i wanted to put kennedy in my pocket and kate in my purse. ha! another hit from lauren layne, and i am 0% surprised. she never disappoints!

Absolutely fabulous! The best of three!

I cannot believe I read this book in mere hours. As soon as I was done I wanted to erase my mind and experience it all again! If you've read this series from the beginning, Kate and Kennedy shouldn't be a surprise. I have, so for me, it was just a matter of reading the journey with no surprises ... but there ARE surprises!

First, the format of the story (it is divided in two distinct parts) was genius for this journey. They've both been dancing around each other since day one but Kennedy just wasn't as aware as Kate of the dance :) So we needed part one to detail the dance and part two to ..... well, I can't give it all away to you!

Second, I was surprised at how new their journey came across even for me. I mean I already knew they were going to be it for each other yet every step they took, forward and backwards, was captivating and engaging for me. I just couldn't wait for the next step.

I'm telling you people, this might be Lauren Layne's best work in quite some time. She's always been a #goto author for me because she always delivers a a heart and a smile with her stories, but this was way more. It's growth and acceptance, especially for Kate and love. Lots and lots of love! *happy sigh*

Kate and Kennedy finally have it out. It's unrequited on one side and oblivious on the other. It takes another man to make Kennedy wake up his feelings, but is Kate ready for him? Layne never fails to deliver on sexy sarcastic banter with a bit of pop culture. Her books take place in NYC, a separate world on it's own, where the characters have a different way of living. It's refreshing how light hearted her stories are but with plenty of seriousness. Netgalley provided an early copy, my review was given voluntarily.

Awesome!

I'm so glad Kennedy and Kate finally got their story! Funny, sweet and an emotional roller coaster ride!

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.
