I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest and fair review.
I've heard a lot about this author in recent years and have been meaning to read his books for awhile. And with this being the first book I've read by him, I have to say I had mixed feelings about it. It was definitely thrilling - it had my heart pounding the whole time and I did not want to put it down, I had to find out what was going to happen. At the same time, it made me so overwhelmingly angry. The fact that Sarah put up with that kind of harrassment for so long, no matter what the situation was, was ridiculous to me. I'm not sure if that's just my "privilege" showing that I've never even remotely been in a situation like that, but I can't imagine myself being put into a situation like that and letting it continue. First off, the second I told my husband about it he'd be doing something about it - and I know Sarah didn't have that kind of support but that still doesn't help me quite understand. Alan was a despicable, detestable creature and I wanted so badly for NUMEROUS bad things to happen to him. I felt like he kind of got off light to be honest. There were some good plot twists - really good ones that I didn't see coming if I'm being honest. So I'd still recommend it but it made me feel too icky for me to like it more than I did.

When I picked up this book, I skimmed a few reviews to see what basic opinions were...and they were overwhemingly fantastic! And I can see why! This psychological thriller is addicting and full of twists & turns. This is one that you won't want to miss! I hope the other books by this author are just as good!

Great storyline and interesting characters made this an enjoyable read. This author is always able to hook me into his novels. Great read.

Great book! Couldn’t wait to read it, and it didn’t disappoint! Grabbed my attention within the first two chapters, and then I didn’t want to put it down. Excellent character development - I think that every reader will find a character to whom they relate. I enjoy books where there is character development, and then also a surprise, and this book provided both! Looking forward to reading more from this author!

This story was all over the place and it was frustrating. The only thing that saved this story was the ending.
On the heels of the #metoo movement, this story gave one woman the chance to make anyone disappear by making one 29 second phone call. I know a lot of women who would jump at this opportunity so this felt like a relatable story. That is probably the only part of the story I could relate to because the person who was supposed to make the people "disappear" battled internal conflicts. That made me roll my eyes and .want to put the book down. There were unexpected twists and turns, but nothing that was very memorable. I know the story started out strong and ended on a high note, but the middle is a complete blank.

This one is a bit of a miss for me. The idea is great, I just had a hard time getting into the story and didn't really like the main character.

Interesting premise, but it just didn't hold my attention. I was really interested in the beginning, but somewhere along the way I just... stopped. I picked up other books, and it took me a good long while to come back to '29 Seconds' to finally finish it. All in all, it just wasn't for me.

I absolutely loved Lies by TM Logan so I jumped aboard to read 29 Seconds! I can’t resist an edge of your seat thriller especially when the main character has the same name as me. I couldn’t put this book down! In seconds you can make a choice that will change your life forever. You will devour this book, 29 Seconds is memorable and will stick with you which in itself is an amazing feat. Check out everything TM Logan puts out, you won’t regret it, the writing continues to grow and get better. The twists get bigger. Amazing read and I can’t wait to see what thrill ride is coming next! I just got the paperback and went back to do a quick read and I was still impressed with this one!

This was a great book but I found the protagonist harder to relate to, as she made very bad choices that she should have ultimately been able to avoid. When you play with fire... . But then, it's a story, not real life. Not a spoiler because it's on the back cover but she does an accidental favor for a very bad guy who is determined to pay her back. He offers to make someone in her life disappear, she takes him up on it and her life goes to hell.
It's a very exciting and well-told story, no question about it. I couldn't put it down and read it in one day, so I will give it 4 stars for keeping me interested. I just didn't particularly like the subject given the Me Too movement. Maybe it was released at the wrong time, or perhaps I read it when the world is still reeling from very similar headlines. But well-told, nonetheless, and as I have read his other books, I will continue supporting this author.

Wow--what an interesting premise! This story was well told and kept my interest until the very end! Granted, you must have a strong ability to suspend your disbelief, but if you can do that, you will enjoy the ride! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves suspenseful thrillers.

This book was a chilling reminder of what human nature can really be: selfish and devious. Chilling to the bone, sometimes you need to be reminded that monsters do exist and they walk among us.

29 seconds is a book that does not disappoint! I would read anything that TM Logan writes. His books always put you on the edge of your seat and are fast-paced great reads. If you were offered a deal to make one phone call that is 29 seconds and you say just one name and that person disappears forever would you make that phone call? Could you live with yourself after making the call? I enjoyed this crazy ride and loved the character development. I would read anything this author writes. A great read by the pool or beach. Thank you to St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for my advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

This book turned out to be better than I expected because it added a twist to a revenge story. Sarah is a professor who is trying to earn a permanent position in a department controlled by a serial sexual harasser. She also has 2 young children and a husband who has run off with another woman. Alan Hawthorne has no scruples and has ruined careers before. You might ask, why didn’t Sarah just quit her job? Well, it’s not always that easy. However, a grateful benefactor offers her a chance for revenge, but the question is how and against whom.
I liked the plot more than I liked the characters in this book. Sarah was a little weak and didn’t seem all that bright. Alan was a one-dimensional caricature - all evil all the time. But the pace was fast and the book never bored me. This author writes plots that aren’t really believable but they can be entertaining anyway. I also enjoyed “Lies”, but I wasn’t crazy about “The Holiday”.
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.

This was a great read, very suspenseful. The plot line was particularly timely, with the me too movement going on in the world. I really enjoyed the ending. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author. Thanks NetGalley for the opportunity to review this title!

What would you do if you were given the opportunity to make someone who was bothering you, disappear forever? No one would have any idea that you were behind the disappearance and you could go about your life. You have 72 hours to decide. What are you going to do.
This book was alright for me. It did hold my attention and I had to find out what was going to happen next.

I definitely expected more from this book. Let me start by saying that sexual harassment is a strong trigger in this book. I expected more suspense and twists. A young mother of two is working towards promotions at her university, but has to fulfill sexual advances from her boss to keep on the path. She witnesses an attempted kidnapping and in exchange for her acts, she is granted a chance to make one person disappear for good. Who will she choose and what will happen? It starts out with your typical boss using sex to instill fear and panic in the lower employees to make them work harder and want promotions. I kept reading because I wanted to see how it ended. But the storyline felt forced. The ending did have a nice turnaround for revenge. But it just seemed rocky. I didn’t find the main character very likable either.

I went into this one with high hopes after reading Lies and absolutely loving it. It didn't live up to it's predecessor, but wasn't a bad read. I love the short chapters as it makes you want to keep reading for more. I was on the edge of my seat reading it like one should for thrillers, but I felt the plot fell a little short in the middle of it all. Great ending!

You’re late to pick up your children after your horrible boss keeps you late when you witness an accident. It was more than an accident, it becomes an attempted kidnapping in which you intervene. Later you find out that the little girl you saved was the daughter of a very powerful man. A man you don’t mess with. This man offers his services to you. Give him a name and he will make them disappear forever. What would you do. This is the decision Sarah has to make. She has a person in mind too. Her awful boss who sexually harasses her at work and tries to force her to have sex with him in exchange for a promotion. Sarah has a difficult decision to make. What will the repercussions of her decision be?

I love T.M. Logan's books! 29 seconds is a gripping ,disturbing, very engrossing read. I couldn't put it down!
All of the characters were well-developed and life like. Has a wonderful plot. Be prepared to sit on the edge of your seat!
4 stars.
Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

This book was sooo good!! Two words to describe this story: Addicting and compelling!
I hadn’t read a crazy thriller in a while and this book took me right out of my book slump! In addition to all the twists, this novel was very well written and very fast-paced. You will not get bored, let me tell you!
Such a great plot with great characters! Don’t even get me started on the ending, it was KILLER.
As usual, I thought I had figured out everything, but then BAM a twist ensues and leaves me speechless. This book definitely plays with your emotions!
If you want an edge-of-your-seat thriller, this is the one! Highly Recommend.
