Loved this book. It took a little while to set the scene but after that, it was tense, gripping and action packed. I started reading it in the bath and didn't want to get out until I'd finished ... needless to say, the water went very cold! Can't wait to read more from the author. It isn't the most realistic plot but I find that thrillers often aren't these days and in this case, it made for a pretty unique plot. Highly recommended!

If you were given the chance to make your biggest problem, or rather, a person causing your biggest problem, disappear, would you take it? When Sarah is given this one time opportunity, she becomes conflicted; morally, is it right? Or should she take it in order to preserve everything for which she’s worked so hard? T.M. Logan explores this moral quandary in 29 Seconds, and while the reader is introduced to both sides of Sarah’s dilemma, the plot meanders, the details are vague when they’d benefit from being sharpened, and the conclusion is rather unsatisfactory. While the premise of the story is promising, 29 Seconds feels flat and uninteresting throughout.

With a failing marriage, struggling as a single provider for her 2 children and a career that seems to be at a dead end, Sarah is tempted by a decision that could turn it all around. I was hooked at the beginning but the middle slows down a bit too much. There are plenty of twists and turns towards the end to regain momentum. I had trouble really getting into this story though, I’m not sure if it was the choppiness or if it was just a little too far fetched.

T.M Logan is fast becoming one of my go to authors! I can’t wait for his new one coming out, The Holiday. His books leave you guessing while reading and fast paced thrill rides! Love them!

Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read this ARC. I do not want to include any spoilers, so I will be as brief as possible, while sharing my honest opinion. Let’s talk about Sarah. Her vocabulary, as a PhD professor, and I have known many, is pitiful. Her expression of “wow” upon hearing something surprising, is rueful. And that’s only one example. She is not depicted as a bright woman though her credentials would indicate quite the opposite. I thought the author, while trying to capitalize on the me too movement, overemphasized the despicable character of Sarah’s boss. His actions were too ridiculous for me to embrace as reality and I am not the least bit naive to the ways of this world. Sarah’s coworker Marie......if she said “are you OK” one more time, I was going to scream. The plot was very far fetched and impossible for me to embrace as plausible. The dialogue in this book was unnecessarily repetitive. I found myself, on more than one occasion, wishing for the end of the read.

T.M. Logan is the breakout star of twisted psychological thrillers. Slowly burning into an breakneck entertaining ending, I cannot wait to read the next thrilling tale of one of my new favorite authors.

This thriller starts a little slow but picks up a lot of speed once you hit half-way through the book. Logan provides quite a few twists that I was completely unprepared for as well. I was surprised that the reason our main character Sarah has a name for the plot point isn't mentioned in the blurb - I don't think its spoiling to say and since its a triggering subject, I think it should be mentioned. Sarah is in academia and her boss is predatory towards the women he works with, including her. He also manages to be extremely well-liked and respected public figure, so the power imbalance between him and his victims is huge and heartbreaking. Reading about her struggles with her morality and this abuse keep the book moving. Overall, I was satisfied with the ending and appreciated the twists in the story line.

Thank you to the publisher for an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

What would you do if you could make a very bad person just...disappear?

T.M. Logan delivers a wonderfully twisted tale of revenge that begs the reader to question their own morality. The narrative is far from straight forward; filled with twists, turns, and irrevocable betrayal. The characters pull the reader in with their enigmatic personalities, while the plot provides a quick paced, dynamic suspense. Excellent read.

Thank you to #NetGalley and #StMartinsPress for this ARC of #29Seconds

Thank you to NetGalley and st martins press for an advanced e-copy in exchange for my honest review. I had received an advanced copy of Lies and really enjoyed it so i was really excited to receive a copy of T.M. Logan's 2nd book, 29 seconds. This one had me from the very beginning. It was impossible to just read a chapter and put it down. The twitsts and turns make you want to just keep reading faster and faster. It's funny because I found myself cheering on Sara thinking this time she's got him, but in the back of my mind i knew Alan was one step ahead of her. At first I thought the book just ended and was extremely confused, until I turned the page! It was all wrapped up nicely, but not what you expect.............

A suspense that will have you clenching your fists in rage as you root for Sarah to get rid of her harassing boss and dial that "special"phone!
However, things did not quite work out as they were supposed to and hence my heart began to pound until the final chapter of this novel!
Definitely a clever plot with details to actually make you feel as if you are in the pages with these characters and cannot run fast enough to get out!

What would you do if you were given a choice to make someone disappear and it could never be traced back to you? Would you choose an ex, a friend who has wronged you, a coworker, an estranged family member? Who would make your life better by no longer being around? Sarah finds herself in this position after saving a very powerful man’s daughter. “A life for a life.” That is what Sarah is told. Who would you choose to erase from your life forever? She is given a time limit and a burner phone. The only stipulations are 1. it is a one-time offer,2. once the choice is made, it can’t be undone and 3. you can’t tell anyone. Sarah takes the deal but something goes wrong and things become even worse for her. Sarah needs to decide if she is going to be someone’s pawn or if she is going to fight!

I loved the strategic ending in this thriller. Every part of the revenge plan was perfectly orchestrated and I never saw it coming. I thought I knew exactly how things were going to unfold but was sadly mistaken. T.M. Logan never ceases to keep me hooked on a story.

What a great book. The first part of the book was a smooth read, and the tension picked up the second half. It was edge of my seat tension. I was so hooked I could not put the book down. And when I did I could not wait to pick it up again. Definitely put this book on your To Be Read pile, you will not be disappointed.

Wow what a suspensful thrill of a book that will take you on one heck of a ride! Full of dark secrets, deceit, betrayal and lies, this book is sure to be a big hit!

The novel starts off as 2 weeks earlier: The main female character Sarah gets into a taxi with a man she refers to as "him". He is a co-worker and they have all been out together with friends, having a good time and drinking. Sarah and everyone else says how this man is different when he drinks and she was warned to never be alone with him, ever... especially when he drinks. Unfortunately, Sarah didn't listen to the rules.

Sarah's boss at work is Alan Hawthorne, and he can be a mean and manipulative man. He seems to enjoy manipulation and holding power over others, especially his employees who he often bullies to get them to do what he says, especially when they want a promotion in their job. he is ruthless and will stop at nothing to get his way. Alan's character in the book was a very unlikable one. He was easy to despise.

I enjoyed reading about Sarah's character. She was a hard worker, dedicated to her job, and appeared to know what she wanted in life. She is faced with a few hard decisions in life that she must decide what to do and in which direction to turn, and she struggled a bit with some of her decisions. She was in no way an innocent character as she had her faults as well, but she was not unlikable.

Overall this book took me on a wild ride as I swiped through the pages, often sitting on the edge of my seat as I read page after page. This book had me hooked and I loved it! Full of twists and turns that I didn't see coming, and an ending that was on point!

A definite must read to add to your TBR!

What can happen in 29 seconds? You can make a life changing phone call. You can accept a proposition from your boss or turn down his advances when he makes it clear that's the only way you will advance in your chosen profession.

Sarah Haywood enjoys teaching at the college. She never thought she would be parenting two young children on her own while her husband dated other women. She is tired of fighting off the inappropriate sexual advances of her boss. When a man offers to make a person disappear in return for saving his daughter from kidnappers, Sarah is not sure if she can accept this offer.

The premise was interesting. I'm not sure why but I didn't feel any real connection with the characters.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy from Macmillan Publishers The opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I was given this book for an honest review from Net Galley.
I think a lot of people will enjoy this novel! The first chapter gripped me, but then as we got to know the characters it lost me for a bit. Once the plot started to thicken, and you could fully establish how much you hated Hawthorn, you wanted your own revenge on the character. I might've missed it along the way but I could never really understand why the main character felt so compelled to stay at the job she was in with so much happening with the boss. Like how did she get to the point of no return where her only option was to stay in a job where the boss took advantage and bullied woman? It kind of bothered me a little and I could never get that out of my head. Nothing is worth staying in that sort of abuse.
Other then that the end was wrapped up nicely, like an Oceans 12 movie....and you get to see how things were accomplished. Definitely a read that past fans will enjoy.

When Sarah saves a little girl from being kidnapped, she is expecting nothing in return. She is then approached with my some men, which take her to the girl's father. He offers her a reward. To make 1 person disappear. Gone forever. And only has 72 hours to decide.
Sarah works at a university and has many hurdles in her life. While her marriage is on the rocks, she's raising 2 little children, and working full time. As intelligent and hardworking as she is, she is constantly faced with sexual harassment and sexual offers. She's stuck between a rock and a hard spot, and makes that 29 second call!
From the first page, I was totally immersed in the story. He has a way of engaging his readers. There were so many heart stopping twists and turns and was unpredictable. I could not put this book down! Read it in less than 24 hours and still wish it wasn't over. The ending is one that you will not see coming.

I enjoyed this novel. If you could have one wish without any repercussions would you? That’s the question the main character is faced with. A challenge of morals and sanity.

I really enjoyed this one. It kept my attention the whole time, and was very fast paced. I wasn’t sure I would be able to relate to the main character early on in the book, but the author did a good job making me feel some of the emotions she felt as it went on. A few moments in the book had me genuinely shocked because I did not see them coming at all! 29 seconds is a good choice for anyone looking for a fast paced thriller!

A fabulous twisty read. I made predictions and then was delighted to be wrong. And I really enjoyed the ending.
