The story of a young woman trying to earn a full time teaching position at a University. Her boss is the ultimate creep, dangerous, a predator, and has all the powers that be wrapped around his finger. An opportunity is given to her to make him disappear forever, what would you choose to do? This is a great story, really unique concept. Would definitely read more from this author.

What would you do if you had the opportunity to make someone in your life just disappear? Just say their name and it's a done deal?
This is the decision Sarah must make and there is one name on the tip of her tongue. After repeatedly being harassed in every way possible by her boss at the university where she works, she had a chance to change it all. But will she? And what happens next? This intense and suspenseful read by T.M Logan had me flying through the pages until all hours of the night dying to know what was going to happen! This book is beautifully written with a fast plot and characters you want to reach out yourself and slap! Fantastic story and so very timely with #MeToo. Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and St. Martin's Press for an ARC of 29 Seconds. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When Sarah finds herself in the wrong place at the right time an unexpected opportunity is presented. An offer she can't refuse but can she live with the outcome?

I enjoyed this book. I thought the story line was interesting and leads you to ask "what would I do?"
The ending was unexpected and I enjoyed the turn of events.

DAZZLING!!!

What a great read with a solid premise. Truly a page-turner!

Sarah makes a deal with someone who owed her his daughter's life. Her boss at the University, Alan Hawthorne, is after her, now and for more than just his pleasures...

A tantalizing story of a deal that could not be undone.

Fabulous character development and plotline.

HIGHLY Recommend. T,M. Logan does not disappoint with this gem!!!

Many thanks to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for a superb read!

Special thanks to NetGalley and St. Martins Press for an ARC. I enjoyed reading his book Lies and felt this would be another good read. I really enjoyed this book and did so in a short amount of time as I couldn't put it down. The plot is unusual and holds your attention, though I did find the antagonist to be a little over the top. Not to give anything away, the ending is great. I'd love to see this made into a movie!

Holy crap. Holy crap, this book, 29 Seconds by TM Logan, was fantastic. I waited a long time for a followup to Lies, which came out last year in the US. I tore through 29 Seconds in two days and I just have to say - ZERO REGRETS.

I'm not going to summarize; there are plenty of reviews that will do it much better than I can. I just want to say that this book is told in three parts, with a tiny fourth section that basically acts as the epilogue. Each section is well fleshed out and well thought out. There are enough twists and turns to keep you guessing, but not so many that you get frustrated and put it down. My only complaint is that I didn't feel like I was "in" the story the way I did with Lies. So this book rates a 4.5 star ranking, lowered down to a 4. Well done, Mr. Logan. I can't wait to see your next book. You are now firmly on my "must read authors" list!

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! A solid 5 stars (and I don't give many of those out)!!! I must admit, I found the beginning of the book a little uncomfortable and I almost put it down! Glad I didn't! Lots of twists and turns ...and more twists and turns ...right up to the last chapter! Good character development ...even if Sarah was a bit of a wimp at the beginning! I will definitely look to more of this author's work in the future!

I wish to thank T.M. Logan, the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this novel in exchange for a honest and unbiased review

After reading Lies, the previous novel of T.M. Logan, I couldn’t wait to dig into this one! It was just as fantastic as I knew it would be! You can’t put his books down! They are all a race to the end! You are absolutely gonna love him!
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read this novel in exchange for an honest review.

The premise of this was good but I didn’t like the execution. The author basically beat the reader over the head with the idea that the villain was. A VERY BAD MAN to the point where it became comical how lecherous he was. The main character’s kids were annoying...every time they showed up they were just whining and fighting. The ending seemed really convoluted as well.

Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free, electronic ARC of this novel.
Sarah is working her way up the academic ladder, hoping to land a tenured position at the university where she is a professor, while trying to raise her two children on her own. One afternoon, she interferes in a potential kidnapping, saving a young girl, and her life is forever altered. The father of the young girl reaches out to her to show his gratitude with one promise- he will make anyone in her life disappear forever. Sarah immediately thinks of her misogynistic, sexually perverted boss who has been harassing her and threatening her job since she began at the university but she could not actually go through with it. Could she?
TM Logan is the author of “Lies”, a novel that I touted for its creativity and ability to captivate a reader. Sadly, “29 Seconds” did not earn the same praise (and it appears that I am in the minority here).
This novel covers sexist social issues that exist in academia and elsewhere, and have done for years. A male misogynist uses his power and charm to entice younger professors and staff members to do his bidding or be subject to further degradation and possible job loss. This is how the novel starts out, with Sarah dealing with this from the department head, where she is mistreated and harassed every day. Professor Alan Hawthorne is definitely an arrogant ass, and a perverted misogynist (no doubt about it), and his character, obviously, is detestable and utterly unlikable.
That being said, the novel’s plot is disjointed. First, the harassment storyline, and then the car accident and potential abduction, and then the introduction of our “saviour”, who offers Sarah a life line. The novel is easy to read, and the plot itself is told in order, but it does not have a great flow. The chapters were designed to end in a cliff hanger, but I felt more that the chapters simply seemed to end in the middle of a plot point.
Although Sarah is a great character, and you root for her from day one, there are several parts of the story that are just unbelievable (and not in a good way). Without giving spoilers away, Sarah is able to do what professional crime syndicates are not, in unique and highly intelligent ways using tips and tricks the “layperson” would not be able to come up with, regardless of their level of intelligence.
The story ended well, and every character receives their “just desserts”, which left me with a good feeling. Although the social and political underpinnings of this novel leave a bitter aftertaste in your mouth, they also make you think. “29 Seconds” does not hold a candle to TM Logan’s previous work, but it is a decent read for those who are looking for a revenge-based mystery.

Thank you Net Galley and T.M. Logan for the opportunity to read and review this book, I would recommend this as a good book to read, it was an easy read, characters introduced well and timely so as to remember who was who. Sarah was the main character who is harassed by her boss(Hawthorne) and takes actions, each a little more extreme than the last to try and handle the sexual harassment. Others in her department have also been affected by his advances and they have come up with rules on how to deal with him or not be caught alone with him.. Unfortunately, Sarah finds herself in this unfortunate situation and the rest of the story leads up to the eventual arrest of Hawthorne. The story is wound around Sarah dealing with a separation from her husband, and dealing with the daily life of being a mother of two, with the support of her father, and working a full time job trying to advance to earn more money in her career. Well written, easy to follow and I would read more books by T.M. Logan

A great thriller that I could not guess the ending of! Sarah gets a favor from a powerful man- the chance to make one person disappear. But something goes wrong, and her sexual harasser-boss knows she had something to do with it. Definitely a page turner!

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This was well written with some believable, although not necessarily pleasant, characters. The story was a little unbelievable at points but I could easily overlook that as I was enjoying the book. An engaging thriller that I found myself not wanting to put down.

This is a revenge thriller about male predators and consequences. There's a strong narrative drive and it's pacy. The tension fuelled plot stems from an incident on the road, for our protagonist Sarah, with a black Mercedes and the following appearances of scarred face man; there then comes a debt and a decision. This is the central thrill of the narrative, a one-time opportunity that only takes a short phone-call to put in place.

The villain in this story is vile, a man who abuses his position and preys on woman for dominance and power; immersing you into the world of the novel and the decision of, if you could get rid of this man, would you or should you?
The characters are complex enough to easily submerged you into the story and it soon becomes important to stop everything and read - I did, and read it in one sitting.

A suspenseful, driven thriller, with enough twists and turns to keep you reading and a cracking ending.

Highly recommended.

Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for the review copy.

Interesting psychological thriller. A female victim of workplace harassment takes advantage of an extraordinary offer to avenge her harasser but things don't go as planned.

Wow!! What a page turner! This book ask the question if you could make someone disappear, would you do it? I wanted to reach into the story and choked Hawthorne for Sarah. The whole story of sexual harassment was really making me mad.
I had a hard time putting this book down, I really enjoyed it! Thank you for the early copy!

Thanks to NetGalley, T.M. Logan and St. Martin's Press for an ARC of this book, in exchange for an honest review.

This book is definitely a page turner, you find yourself needing to know what is going to happen next. I thought the story was really good and at half way I had no idea how it was going to continue. Logans built tension well and keeps you guessing.

The characters are a mixed bag, Sarah is okay but felt a little weak at times. Alan is a brilliantly written villain,an absolute pig and I hated him, so so much. Overall my favourite character was Roger, Sarah's dad, he just gave me all the feels.

I didn’t expect the end, and I really liked it.

4 stars!

5 stars. 29 Seconds was disturbing, in the best possible way. A twisted, psychological thriller that will leave you questioning what you read. The proverbial knife gets twisted deeper and deeper until the crescendo of the story. The ending was unexpected, yet wrapped up perfectly. A must read.
