The book was better than I expected it to be. I kept wishing that I was given an offer like that. I wonder what I would do?
Wasn’t crazy about the main character. The book keeps you guessing however. A few things far-fetched. Surprise ending I like that.

Thank you to St Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read this book. This was definitely a page turner for me! So many twists that I didn’t see coming right until the very end of the book!
The main character, Sarah, is very much like someone I feel like everyone knows. A normal woman with a career, kids, and marital struggles. But then her life gets very complicated. The book made me think about what I would do in her place with some of the circumstances she is dealing with.
I loved TM Logan’s last book, Lies, and I like this book just as much! Such a great read!

This book was an absolute thrill-ride, and I cannot wait to see it become a huge hit upon it's release this fall!
Sarah is a career-driven mother of 2, who works at a university with Dr. Alan Hawthorne, who is despicable, sexist, completely inappropriate. He has gotten away with his behavior towards women for years, and now has his eyes on Sarah. He gives her an ultimatum...Let him do what he wants to her body, or she can kiss her upcoming promotion goodbye.
Sarah is at a loss for how to deal with this until one day when she happens to witness an attempted kidnapping. Sarah's actions let the girl escape safely. Her father, whose connections are deep, dark, and dangerous, is extremely thankful. To show his appreciation, he offers Sarah the once in a lifetime opportunity. All she has to do is give him a first and last name, and he will make someone in her life disappear. No trace back to Sarah, and no questions asked...
I was hooked from page 1, and found myself often surprised with the twists this book took. It was thrilling from start to finish, and extremely well written with gripping suspense. I highly recommend.
Thank you to NetGalley, author T.M. Logan, and St. Martin's Press for an ARC.

Wow a rollercoaster book one I couldn't put down, Sarah faced with a moral dilemma making the reader think what would they do and what would she do, would she be able to live with her choice. Her boss was making her life awful and she couldn't see anyway out until she was offered one, to make anyone in her life disappear with no comeback on her. Not everything goes to plan and lots of tense moments for Sarah when she tries to find a way out

I seem to have the same problem with this author, books are not quite my cup of tea but I end up always liking the ending and the twists always get me. It gets 3 stars as with Lies by the same author because I loved the twist. Now as the story goes, it did make me roll my eyes quite a bit of times and my biggest problem is the main character, this author (in my opinion) seems to write weak characters. Until the very end the main character Sarah needed a backbone, she was too soft for my liking. I still think this story will be good for other readers, just not great for me. I will recommend this book because like I said, the twist alone is worth it. It was brilliant in my opinion, you think she is going to do this or that and then, BAM, something else entirely.
Read it! You might love it!

I wasn’t sure from the synopsis whether I would like this book but it was very gripping. You could feel the tension throughout and there were lots of clever twists and turns.

The blurb tells you the plot line. There are some twists and turns. The professor is a disgusting pig who destroys so many lives. I had a rough time with Sarah. I can understand the hemming and hawing on how to handle the workplace harassment by her boss. But the situation with the husband I had no compassion for and the wishy washy there seemed to lend to her workplace. Don't get me wrong, I know these happen, are covered up and the innocent can be penalized. Some of the conversation seemed repetitive. She makes her decision and all what happens after, my first thought was, wait, what? If (the German) is so good, safe, etc, there should have been less blow back. Part ll I thought she was putting her big girl panties on and when some of it played out, I was like yes! There is betrayal and support. There is a gross run down of brutality on one of Germans guys. This really does touch on a lot of different issues, along with right and wrong, justice. I received this arc from Net Galley and St Martins Press. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4.5 stars for Mr. Logan's new masterpiece. If you're looking for a fast-paced psychological thriller 29 seconds by T.M. Logan is for you! Mr. Logan has knocked it out of the park again, with this keep you on the edge of your seat book and will NOT disappoint. What would you do if you had an opportunity to change your entire life in 29 seconds? Sarah a hard working single mother of two, estranged by her husband and bullied by her pig of a boss is about to change her whole life in you guessed it 29 seconds. When Sarah save the life of a mobster's daughter, who's filthy rich and you're giving the opportunity to make someone disappear what would you do? Another stellar book from Mr. Logan he's definitely becoming a favorite of mine.
If you've had the pleasure of reading Lies (if you haven't you NEED too), 29 seconds is a different pace and not as many twists and turns but oooooh so worth the emotional ride.

4.5 stars!
Damn this was so good! I loved the author's debut last year Lies, but this book was definitely better. Sarah, recently separated from her husband, is juggling raising two kids and her workload as a university professor. A job that she loves, but that one of the men in her department makes exceedingly hard. When she rescues a little girl from a kidnapping attempt, a grateful father offers to do a favour for Sarah. The offer to remove a person from her life- PERMANENTLY. The only stipulation- she has 72 hours and once she makes the call, the action cannot be undone.
Oh my gosh, this book frustrated me so much when it came to what Sarah had to face on a daily basis. I am glad our protagonist tried to maintain some morals because I don't think I would have had a problem dialling that phone number. But I just couldn't put the book down and I felt my heart racing the entire time. A good dose of a suspense and a storyline that had me hooked! I predict that this book is certainly going to be one of FALL 2019's most anticipated books.

Enjoyable, fast-paced, surprising ending. The main character turns out to be more interesting than she initially appears. Hence, the 29 seconds title. Perfect for a quick read.

"29 Seconds" by TM Logan is an important book. Within the framework of a psychological suburban thriller, the author examines the - unfortunately - still very current issues of sexual harassment at work and glass ceilings.
The question that might stay with the reader long after they put down the novel: should you fight criminal behaviour by resorting to criminal actions?

What a great premise: you can give one person’s name and he or she will get disappeared forever, no questions asked, no repercussions, no traceback. But there is no do-over, no going-back. You better be sure
Sarah is a PhD contract lecturer at London University striving to become tenured faculty. But the professor of her English Department is a sexual predator who holds her future in his hands: charming on the outside, criminal on the inside. Sarah faces harassment bordering on rape, but with no recourse since he is the university’s golden boy and is smart enough to avoid any evidence.
When Sarah does a remarkable good deed, she is given a remarkable offer. One name and the person is gone. When she makes that call from a burner phone lasting 29 seconds her life is changed completely. As the plot unwinds, her life unravels and she is forced to make unimaginable choices.
The book gripped me from the start and rarely let me go, twisting till I could not predict what would happen. Even at the end, I was surprised with the way it worked out. It was a great read.
I received this book as a free pre-publication galley version in return for an honest review.

How much could you lose in 29 seconds?
When we first meet Sarah, she's a smart, hardworking doctoral student/lecturer, working under the esteemed Alan Hawthorne. Sarah has two young children (and an absent husband) and is scraping by to make ends meet as the sole breadwinner. Unfortunately, Sarah still hasn't received a permanent teaching contract. Even more unfortunate, Professor Hawthorne is a egotistical bigot who makes it clear that the only way Sarah will get the contract is if she sleeps with him.
One day, Sarah sees a kidnapping in progress and prevents it from happening. Grateful for saving his daughter, a wealthy man offers to repay his debt to Sarah in an ominous way -- give him a name and he will get rid of the person, no questions asked, nothing to trace back to Sarah. The only name Sarah can think of is Alan Hawthorne, but can she actually have him killed?
29 Seconds was a fast-paced thriller that was very thought provoking. T.M. Logan effortlessly demonstrates how far a person can be pushed until they reach their breaking point, and what happens after. A great read!

A woman's solutions to her worst nightmares leaves her scrambling to change events when the "fix" is worst than the nightmare. I really loved this book, especially the ending. There are very few clues that will let the reader get to that ending before TM Logan launches it. What you'll think is a straight forward march to murder is anything but!

Fast paced enthralling storyline which kept me hooked throughout. Didn’t want to put it down. Will definitely read other T M Logan books

T. M. Logan writes some very cool thrillers... They tend to be family-based, and involve impossible decisions and choices. The situations that these otherwise average people find themselves thrown into are just plausible enough to suck you right into the drama and make you wonder what you would do if you found yourself in a similar circumstance. The result is a heady mixture of entertainment, engagement, and surprisingly deep thinking about morality and choices and what we are willing to do to protect those around us, and it makes for a great read!
Unfortunately, the predicament Sarah finds herself in is all-too common. The ways she goes about trying to, and ultimately managing how to, deal with it are where the magic happens. Logan has a very engaging and easy writing style, and his characters are very well developed and a great mixture of human foibles and strength. It makes them very relatable, which helps with the immersive feel of the read. The plot lines here were, as with his previous title Lies, more involved than they seemed at first blush, and the revelations and misdirections were scattered in with just the right amount of detail and spot-on timing to keep me thoroughly engaged from start to finish.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This book kept me reading but the plot was rather far fetched - Russian Mob Boss (really?) I had a hard time identifying with the MC because although she was educated and accomplished she kept making really stupid decisions in her personal and professional life. It seemed as though she had to be doing these silly things or the plot would not move forward. There were some pretty slow parts in the middle of the book. I did like the ending. It was a little bit of a surprise and definitely nice to the the villain get his due.

I read Lies, thanks to St. Martin's Press and was instantly hooked to this author. When I saw this story, I couldn't wait to read it.
And yes, it was still fantastic! The twists and turns. Just when you think you know what is going to happen, it shifts and all bets are off!
The main character is a woman, a hopeful college professor. She is trying to get a permanent contract, and she has a boss who is an awful, awful man!
I thought that was the way this was going, until she saw a little girl being kidnapped.
Wait, what??? What about that boss?
Seriously, a truly exciting story. Way to go, Mr. Logan!

I would have certainly given this book a 5 but was a little disappointed in the ending. The build up of characters was excellent and the storyline was fantastic. The ending fell a little flat. Would have liked a little more detail on the outcome. instead of an abbreviated account on the outcome. Otherwise perfect.

I loved that there were twists you didn’t see coming. Also, the unexpected ending was what I loved the best!
