29 seconds does not seem like a long time, but for Sarah its the length of a phone call that could change her life FOREVER. If you had the chance to help a child in danger , would you ? One of my favorite quotes is "Integrity is doing the right thing even when know one is watching". This is what Sarah does, she saves a young girl in the midst of her potential kidnapping. She did it because it was the right thing. The man's father who is a dangerous criminal offers her a way to repay her debt, in the only way he knows possible. One name, gone without a trace, forever. No strings attached. Everyone has a name, don't they?
Sarah is in an impossible situation with her boss that gives sexual harassment an entirely new meaning.
The story is told in the third person from Sarah's perspective. This thriller is a page turner that you will not want to miss. Having been a HUGE fan of the Author's book LIES, I didn't know if he could do it again, and let me tell you , HE DID! This psychological thriller is one you won't soon forget. Not only will you enjoy this thriller for the exciting well written plot and complex characters, Author T.M. Logan speaks of the topic of sexual harassment which is not only timely but eye opening to what is happening right now. This author has come to be one of my favorites and I cannot wait to see what he crafts next.

This is an excellent book of suspense! When given an opportunity to take revenge on her boss who has been making her life a living hell, Sarah needs to make a quick decision. This is a story about what we would do if given a chance for revenge with no strings attached, if we would take it. Full of twists and intense moments, I couldn't put this one down and read it in an afternoon. Well written with a fast paced plot, TM Logan creates a fantastic story that I won't soon forget. Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

I received this book "29 Seconds" from NetGalley and all opinions expressed are my own. Before I start the review I was a bit confused on why the professors name was Lovelock and Alan Hawthorne. From reading a few reviews on goodreads it looks like maybe he was called Lovelock but the author maybe changed it to Hawthorne? Both names appeared in the book I was reading. Anyway, I thought this was a fast paced book and I really couldn't put it down. Definitely has many twists and turns. I did not see the end coming at all.

I'm not sure there's ever been a character in a book that I have hated any worse than Professor Hawthorne. He is a piece of work! He got on my nerves from the very beginning and it continued throughout. A nice twist at the end! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the book for my honest review.

I really wanted to love this book. Unfortunately, the best I can say after finishing it, is the premise was fantastic, but the follow through, not so much.
There was a lot of unnecessary repetition in dialogue. After the second or third time of the character thinking or saying something, I think the reader gets the point. It became distracting.
The plot was very intriguing, I just think it could have been written a bit better so that it was more enjoyable to the reader.

“”” Give me one name. One person. And I will make them disappear.””” What would you do with that offer??? Struggling with baggage from a crumbling marriage, Sarah is also being harassed by Alan Hawthorn, her manipulative, job threatening, sexually aggressive superior. Then she witnesses an attempted kidnapping which she successfully squashed and in return the girls father offers Sarah repayment. Mind bending suspense kept me turning pages until Sarah decides her fate. Brilliant ending!! Just like in #tmlogan ‘s book #lies, I never say saw it coming.

This was a great book but I found the protagonist harder to sympathize with than many readers. She does an accidental favor for a very bad guy who is determined to pay her back. He offers to make someone in her life disappear, she takes him up on it and her life goes to hell.
You know what? That's what happens when you let a guy with ties to the Russian mafia do you a favor and maybe, just maybe, that's what you deserve if you take a hit out on someone, even someone as intolerable as her target. (And he was a douchebag, big time, I take nothing away from that, at all.) But she went the nuclear route and seemed surprised it didn't go well for her.
It's a taut, well-crafted story and I love this author's writing so it’s 4 stars because I couldn't put it down and read it in one afternoon.
Thank you to T.M. Logan, St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Sexual harassment and the "good ol' boys" is not just a Hollywood act, but liable to occur in many places where men in power try to exert their will over those who should be able to trust them. In this exciting, fast-paced novel our protagonist finds an unlikely ally who might be able to deliver her from her situation. This alliance comes to a turning point in a twenty-nine second period of time that changes so much. Does Sarah find redemption, frustration, regret, or determination? Her choice determines her future.

I give the author credit for his original plot. This is more of a workplace drama with touches of suspense and thriller vibes throughout. Entertaining read!

As women come forward during the Me Too movement, we are all aware that there are other women, afraid of losing their jobs, or worse, that don’t dare to speak up. In the halls of academia, Professor Alan Hawthorne is a much loved and respected TV host who brings in beaucoup bucks for the university he works for. There have been rumors about the unwanted advances he makes on female colleagues, but no one has really dared to speak up, or if they have, they have not been believed. All that changes when Hawthorne sets his sights on young professor, Sarah. As she resists his advances, he begins making ugly threats. Sarah feels helpless until she unexpectedly gains a powerful ally. After helping to defuse a potential kidnapping, the child’s father is in Sarah’s debt. And this is a man who will do anything to aid his allies, or anyone threatening them. I loved this story, it’s the ultimate thrill, seeing a sleazy scumbag taken to his knees

This is a really creepy book on multiple levels-pretty flat in terms of character development and narrative but in terms of human ugliness it is well multi-faceted. Ick ick ick.
