29 seconds is a gripping thriller that had me on the edge of my seat until the very end.

This thriller’s plot is unlike so many of the others in the genre which I completely appreciated.

It centers around a female college professor who is climbing the career ladder at work, has a husband and children and everything in her life is going fine. Sure, there’s the awful head of her department that has a bad reputation with the other females in the department, but she has rules in place so that she’s never alone in the same room with him.

Well, one day everything changes. She helps a stranger out who insists on repaying the favor.

He will make any person disappear, she just needs to give the word. Just how much can happen when she makes that 29 second phone call?

This book had me feeling every range of emotion. I was annoyed, angered, frustrated, scared, nervous and then happy- the sign of a talented author!

The author wrote such a compelling story that I felt like I was right with the main character in the end and I felt so helpless that I could reach in the book and do anything to aid her! This book has a twist that is unlike anything I had expected. Bravo.

I can’t believe how amazing this book is and I will definitely be reading others by this author!

Oh so good and so much food for thought! If you could have someone killed and you would never be caught, would you do it? This is one of those books that gives you a lot to think about and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Tense, pulse pounding, and deliciously twisted.

I had high expectations of T. M. Logan’s 29 Seconds as the premise sounded so good. There are twists that make for a good read. However, be warned as you have to suspend all belief. The chapters are short so it’s easy to get through the book fairly fast, and the action in the story helps. Otherwise, it’s just OK..

This book was a bit uncomfortable to read. Knowing that your entire life could change in 29 seconds, and you could destroy someone else's life by just one phone call. The ending wasn't too bad though as it gave you complete redemption.

Thank you for the chance to read this book.

Good story line! I really liked how short & quick the chapters were. I liked the characters a lot, especially the main character. I thought I had the ending figured out, I was close but it did end up surprising me. Overall this was a good one, thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this one!

This book was so strong at the beginning. The middle was pretty good too and kept me guessing. BUT, when I got to the last 3/4 it started to make me lose interest. The ending felt abrupt. I HATED Professor Hawthorne and could not believe the politics played at the school, in his favor. Well, who am I kidding...I can def. believe it!

29 Seconds by T. M. Logan is a beautifully written suspense novel. If you could, would you remove a person from your life with no consequences? This novel is timely and faces hard questions. It is a fantastic, quick read due to the twists and turns that never end. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves suspense. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

All it took was 29 seconds for Sarah to make a decision that ultimately changed the course of her life. What to do when the only choices left are ones that aren't the least bit appealing and will ruin your life???

I liked the concept of this story and the "fighting fire with fire" aspect. It was a fabulous ending that induced a surge of "girl power" and left me nodding my head and smiling.

Sarah wasn't a sympathetic protagonist and her boss was truly evil so it was challenging to connect with the characters. In my mind, the plot saved the story as it brought out some strong emotions throughout its telling. A fairly fast-paced thriller with an unexpected twist at the end. Worth the read.

I received a copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

His last book was much better than this one. But still an entertaining read. An author I will continue to follow, hope the next one improves. Good quick afternoon read.

T.M. Logan is artful when it comes to twisty suspense, and he delivered with Lies, his debut. Hence, I was thrilled when I received an ARC of 29 Seconds from NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press in exchange for an honest review.
Sadly, 29 Seconds failed to draw me into its grasp; rather, getting through the middle 50% or so of the book was a slog. I like—actually, prefer—mysteries to have a slow-burn element, but it seemed as if nothing of import was happening during those middle chapters.
Without giving away any spoilers, I will say that the end is action-packed and clever (albeit straining credulity). If you like your psychological thrillers wrapped up nicely in a “wham-bam-thank you ma’am” sort of way, this will suit you. To keep me satisfied, though, it takes a little more suspense throughout the book.

Nice and twisted. I can't say that this is a book that will stand out as stellar in an oversaturated genre but it was good and entertaining nonetheless. Has moments where it really challenges your ethical standing and makes you think.

This was only a 3 star for me. I expected more - maybe better. Stories involving kidnapping are my weakness, but this one fell short,

This was a quick read for me; I binged it in one sitting! The content was engaging till the very end, but I didn’t find the plot to be very original.

Throughout reading this one, it constantly reminded me of the Harvey Weinstein allegations and the antagonist, Alan Hawthorne, seemed to exhibit quite a bit of traits similar to the film mogul.

Overall, it was a fast-paced thriller that I’d recommend others to read.

***Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All thoughts posted are my own, honest thoughts on the selection.***

I have waited a long time to post this review because I had a hard time staying interested in it. I love the plot but I had a hard time really relating to or feeling sympathy towards Sarah. I felt like the book was a little bit scattered and hard to follow along with at some points. I started reading it back in September and then after 3 days of trying to get into it had to put it aside. The second time I started it was more successful. Once I got past the first couple chapters the pace of the book was pretty quick. I just couldn't get behind the character but I love the way the author wrote in their previous novel Lies. I would read the author again but this book didn't do it for me.

Wow! What a roller coaster of a ride this book took me on. I was hooked from the first page. There is alot of twist and turns, and it kept me interested from the first page til the last.
It started out slow but good and then it really took off. This is my second book by this author and I have loved them both.
29 seconds is a gripping ,disturbing, and engrossing read. All of the characters were well-developed .This author really knows how to bring his characters to life & draw his readers completely into the story with his
masterful writing, intriguing situations and captivating characters. This is one action-filled story that will keep you glued to the pages. It is just one of thoes books that you can't put down even when you need to. You just keep turning page after page to see what is going to happen next.
If you had the chance to make someone that is or has made your life miserable disappear, and no one would be able to trace it back to you, would you do it ?

One day, one hour, one minute, one second can alter the direction of the future. In this case, a decision made, and words spoken during a 29 second phone conversation, alter the course of a woman’s life, as well as those around her. Sarah is a young professor trying to make her mark in a workplace controlled by a manipulative but charming boss. It seems that no matter which way she turns, he is ahead of her. The problem with him: inappropriate comments and behavior, both in the workplace and out. Sarah is finally pushed to her breaking point, and with nowhere else to turn, she accepts the help of a successful businessman with a bit of a shady connection. To repay, Sarah for preventing the kidnapping of this child, he offers her the opportunity to cement a one-time deal.
This is a timely book considering the current #metoo movement which has brought sexual harassment to the forefront. Sarah makes a decision that changes the course of her life and those around her. In the beginning, it is a build up to the tension and suspense found in the second half of the book. There are so many twists and turns that it is almost impossible to know what will happen next. I found myself urging Sarah to make the call and worried for her and her family and friends after she did. You will enjoy the suspense. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

This was a nice how-do-we-get-back-at-the-monster-boss read. Fantastic read for those who feel they have little or no power. I was given an ARC in return for a review. Unfortunately it has taken awhile to get that feedback, but I really enjoyed the characters and the plot.

I enjoyed 29 Seconds. I read Lies by T.M. Logan last year and loooved it. This one had the same feel, although it was less twisty, I didn’t see the ending coming and it made me happy!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This one took me a little longer to get into, and I loved the second half more. Pick this one if you’d like a thriller/suspense that deals with toxic masculinity/harassment in the workplace and one person making choices to solve their situation. Auto-buy author for me for sure. Can’t wait for the next one.

The premise of 29 Seconds pulled me in immediately. What if you could eliminate a problem person in your life with no consequences to yourself? My thoughts ran the gamut between who I might choose and how would I live with myself? Would I be able to go through with the concept? Could I keep that secret/
The heroine in 29 Seconds goes through all those hoops, and more. Her choice is, indeed, a terrible man. Does he deserve to die? I'm not sure. 29 Seconds has a good storyline, reads fairly quickly and really makes you think.
T M Logan's characters are not always likeable to me, and I sometimes found them a little two dimensional. The overall impression of 29 Seconds is that it was entertaining.
I receivd my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.
