Thank you, NetGalley for an opportunity to read this book and give you my honest review.
I read all the books that are suspense, thriller, and mystery so, it is very hard for me to be surprised, but I was very engaged with 29 Seconds. It has some focus on #metoo movement, In the end, it is a great thriller. Let me ask you, what would you do when you pressed against the wall?

I didn't care for this book and couldn't finish. it. I was expecting it to be more of a thriller but it just fell short

I must have missed the explanation for the name change between Hawthorne and Lovelock. This book has a familiarity to it from the time Sarah confessed all to her father. So much so I wondered if this was a re-release under a new name.
Sarah was weak in my opinion which made it hard for me to get behind her. Then suddenly she grows a pair at the end? I usually enjoy this author, but this one didn't sit well with me.
Thank you fir the ARC ebook from Netgalley.

This was the first book I’ve read by T.M. Logan and it certainly won’t be my last! “29 Seconds” is an awesome thriller about a woman who is in a tough and very uncomfortable situation with her boss who is a sexual predator. 29 seconds is all it takes to change the situation but things don’t exactly go as planned. This is a book that should be added to everyone’s “to be read” list! I loved all the twists and turns along the way.

Have you ever read a book with a character so horrible that you wanted to jump into the pages and strangle them? If not, give this one a read.

The character development was done super well by T.M. Logan. In particular, the primary male character in this book was so vile, I found myself really hating his guts.

What's the book about? Sexual harassment in the workplace. And the lengths one would go to in order to stop it. All packed into a nice thriller.

I thought the story from beginning to end was really engaging and interesting. I was constantly intrigued and wanted to find out what would happen next. It definitely held my attention throughout. Which is what I expect from a thriller. I didn't find myself stuck in any lulls where I lost interest.

The only complaint I have about this book is that the ending wrapped up a little too quickly for me. And it seemed like the author was trying to tie up all loose ends in a neat package with a nice bow on top, despite the story up until that point being pretty messy and convoluted. I found the "resolution" in the end to be a little bit on the unbelievable side. But it was still a satisfying story overall.

If you're a big thriller fan, I would give this one a try. It's a really quick and fast paced read.

OK, so I was a little leery about reading this given the reviews about it being a little.....out there.
Turns out, for me anyway, they were right! I struggled with the plausibility of the whole thing. I didn't connect with any of the characters so it was a DNF for me.
If you need your books to be even the slightest bit believable (like me) you might want to skip this one.
Thanks to St. Martin's Press, T.M. Logan and NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

Wow, from the start 29 Seconds is gripping! One debt to be paid. All it takes is one phone call with a name. The protagonist, Sarah, is likeable and relatable. The writing keeps you on your toes. The sexual harassment is intense! A very good read. Thank you, Netgalley, for the opportunity to read in exchange for an no way review. 4 Stars

Sarah’s superior, a securely ensconced tenured professor who’s brought in great funding for the university, is a serial harasser offering her a (well-deserved) promotion in exchange for her “cooperation.” While picking up her child from school, she foils the kidnapping of a little girl, whose quietly powerful father then offers her a favor—choose a name and that person will cease to be a problem for her. Sarah struggles with the moral morass of resolving not only her own situation, but ending the reign of a decades-perpetrating, multi-victim offender against becoming someone she doesn’t want to be. A 29-second phone call changes the course of her life. Logan brilliantly portrays the frustrating inner battle of desire to set things right versus not wanting to stoop to the same level for resolution. I received this well-written story from the publisher twenty7 through NetGalley.

It's not an unheard-of plot, but it was carried out well in the book. One name is given in a phone call, and 29 seconds later, they are gone. WHAT? That's awful fast!

Sarah knows someone who should vanish, but should she really do that? He's a predator, a pervert and he hurts women. Even so, he has people who adore him. What is a woman to do? What consequences does she have either way?

Hang on to your reading device, the twists and curves are coming on fast in this one.

St. Martin's Press and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of 29 Seconds. I was under no obligation to review this book and my opinion is freely given.

If you had the power to change your circumstances with just one phone call, would you do it? Sarah is given an offer after a selfless act gains the attention of a grateful benefactor. Harassed on a daily basis by her superior at the university, the young professor makes a split second decision out of anger. Will Sarah's choice derail her personal and professional life for good?

Does this book have elements of realism, especially regarding the culture of the old boys network at certain professional institutions - absolutely. Where the book lost me was the predictable nature of the story. The author telegraphed the ending almost from the start and the novel left me with the feeling you get after watching a made for television movie: not sure why you sat through it except that you wanted to yell at the stupidity of the main character. 29 Seconds was decent, but forgettable, which is why I would be hesitant to recommend it to other readers.

An enjoyable book about a woman, Sarah, who is sexually harassed at her job. Unfortunately, she's not the first for this man. He needs to be stopped, but all the men seem to cover for him. The one woman who did try to stop him has been destroyed. She is unable to get a job anywhere. Everyone thinks she is the one who was harassing her boss. But, what if Sarah could eliminate one person. No questions asked. You see, Sarah saved the daughter of a very powerful man. He as offered to take care of any one person for her. Can Sarah have him take care of this man? This book has some amazing twists. The ending is terrific; not what I was expecting.

29 Seconds is the newest thriller by T.M. Logan and oh my goodness dear reader it is one heck of a roller coaster ride. It is one of those books that grabs you by hand with the opening paragraphs and does not let go until the final pages. If it weren’t for mundane things like work, eating, and sleeping, I could have easily finished the book in a day. I finished it in two.

29 Seconds is centered on a subject that I believe every individual can relate to – harassment. Sexual or not, whether in the workplace or not, everyone has been harassed by another person in their life at one time or another.

For Sarah, her harasser is her boss. A tenured professor and TV host, he is loved by countless audience members, but behind that slick smile and professional demeanor lies a cruel and calculating individual. Hawthorne has been playing the harassment game for a long time and knows just what to say and do. When Sarah realizes that the school faculty know about Hawthorne’s ways but won’t do anything about it, she finds herself left with two options – say nothing and suffer or stand up and fight.

Logan’s writing in regards to this sensitive subject and in regards to the book as a whole is top notch. His style and pacing not only keep the story moving during the high action scenes but during the lower action, more personal scenes as well. His characters are easy to empathize with even if we might not agree with how they handle certain situations.

29 Seconds is not for everyone! Those who are triggered by sexual harassment or even harassment in general would do well to stay away. Readers who love a good, edge of your seat thriller, however might want to give this book a try. Because at the end, you too might find yourself asking, If I had the opportunity to make someone disappear, would I?

I was so intrigued by the concept of this book I had to pick it up immediately and it definitely didnt disappoint. This is the type of psychological thriller I love to read, it made me feel anxious when I was devouring it and even though at points I wanted to put the book down because it was actually making me feel uncomfortable I just couldn't put it down and I needed to know what happened.

I was constantly guessing what has going to happen next and I was only right every so often which kept me hooked to the story. This book is definitely for fans of thrillers where even though you know who the bad guy is from the start you still question the motives of the main protagonist and what would you do in the same situation.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy of this book.

This book was really entertaining from the start. It kept on the edge of me seat thr entire time. Their was a good range of characters which is nice. Some were likable and some were not so likable. I felt like this was a unique story. I havent read anything like it. I also haven't read anything else by T. M. Logan before and I kinda want to read more of his stuff.

Fast, furious, crazy…

But very entertaining-

Alan Hawthorne, a university professor who rakes in millions of dollars through his television show, has gotten away with exhibiting inappropriate behavior toward his female colleagues for years.

Now, he has set his sights on Sarah, a young professor trying to find her footing in the Hawthorne controlled workplace.

Although Sarah has resisted Alan, she soon finds herself ensnared in his trap. But, before things go too far, Sarah rescues a child from an attempted kidnapping, and as payment for her good deed, the child’s father offers to rid Sarah of one person in her life.

Naturally, the desire to get Alan Hawthorne out of her life makes this offer very tempting. All she needs to do is make one 29 second phone call and the one thorn in her side will disappear. Will Sarah decide to take the man up on his offer?

This is my first book by T.M Logan, so I had nothing to compare it to. Many who have read his books may have a different take on it, but I enjoyed it well enough. Is it far-fetched and implausible? Yes, and it got more so as the novel progressed. Is the conclusion a bit too tidy?

Maybe- but it was also clever, and I didn’t figure out what was going on until all was revealed.
I’d suggest going along with the premise, despite the suspension of belief required. It’s a solid thriller if one doesn’t take it too seriously.

In the long run, this book may not be especially memorable, but it kept me entertained in the here and now and at the moment that’s good enough for me.

While the situation is definitely one many women find themselves in at their work place, the story line definitely is something that is only in our dreams! I found the story slow and could not connect with the main character....it is a whoa is me struggling professionally single mom.

I really liked this mystery/suspense/thriller. As with the other books by T.M. Logan, it kept my attention throughout the book. It was good solid writing, filled with characters you liked and really disliked. I find it important to have a good mix of interesting characters. The story was familiar, but different and unique. Our main character Sarah, facing sexual harassment from her jerk boss... then it introduces Sarah helping a stranger’s little girl (a thwarted kidnapping) and the father of the little girl wanting to do a special favor for Sarah.
There were times I tired of Sarah being so passive, and Hawthorne always having the upper hand. But the ending had a fabulous twist and ending that wrapped up nicely. I would Love to see a stronger heroin in the next novel. Women can be so much more, and empowering women throughout a book instead of just at the ending would be nice. Another thing that annoyed me was at 38% into the book, the author sticks in a little US political remark that I really disliked. Why put that in at all? Other than that I really enjoyed this book, and I look forward to reading the next novel by T.M. Logan. He is my go to author for a good mystery/suspense book.
I read the book, and and bought the audible version of this book. The narrator did a great job, and. I highly recommend this book in either format to anyone who enjoys a good suspense/thriller/mystery.

29 Seconds is a twisted, riveting thriller of sexual harassment in the workplace taken to the furthest extremes, and one woman's reactions to the perpetrator/predator, her boss. It was an un-put-downable read, with an ending that I didn't expect.

Saving a child could possibly help Sarah. The child was being kidnapped and Sarah stopped to help. Unknown to her this child’s father is a very important and powerful man. He would be the one to save her.

Where Sarah works things are getting very unpleasant. Her “boss” is acting inappropriately to her as he has done to many other females there. She could possibly remedy this with one quick phone call. All it would take is “29 seconds’. Will she?

This is a very good book that will keep you turning the pages way into the night. You’ll be on the edge so many times and keep wondering what is coming next. What will Sarah do? Men are at times very insensitive. But there can be that one who will do anything for you. Sometimes.

I loved this book. The characters, with the exception of one, are so well likable and the plot is wonderful. I must read.

Thank you #NetGalley for this awesome book. This is my personal review.

A huge 4 stars and high recommendation.
