I received a copy of 29 SECONDS on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the publisher and author for the opportunity.

FIVE STARS! And here’s why:

T.M. Logan blew me away! Total book hangover. The author captivated my interest from the very first page, through a series of twists I didn’t see coming, to the very end. Bam! It’s hard to discuss the plot without giving too much away, but I’ll leave you with one thought. What if you did a good deed, and someone offered to repay you by granted you one wish . . . that wish could be anything . . . including getting even with a boss that has all the power, fame and money to get what he wants without one iota of remorse or shame? Sarah is confronted with the opportunity of a lifetime. But, is exacting revenge worth giving up everything she believes in just to achieve it? WOW. The whole premise blew my mind. And, it’s been a whole week and I’m still thinking about this book. Highly recommend. T.M. Logan does not disappoint.

TM Logan has once again written an entertaining thriller. This one has Sarah being given the opportunity to make use of a reward for unknowingly helping out a powerful and dangerous man...to have someone disappear. She cannot help but be tempted to submit the name of her lech of a boss. The book has many moments when the reader ponders what they would do in a similar situation, which adds to the entertainment factor. It is a book I will be recommending to both friends and customers.

This book blew me away, I loved the concept! Sarah's job at the university has become a nightmare thanks to the famous professor on campus, a womanizer with all the power, fame and money he needs to do whatever he wants - and right now he wants Sarah., And sadly if she ever hopes to move up in her job, she needs his okay.
Then Sarah witnesses the attempted kidnapping of a young girl, and acts to save the child. Days later, she is summoned to the home of a powerful businessman, the girl's father, who wants to repay her for saving his daughter ~ by giving her a once in a lifetime offer ~! he will make a person she names disappear. off the face of the earth.
Let the games begin!

I really enjoyed reading this book. A good storyline that kept me throughly engaged throughout the book. I did not guess the ending and it was a good one!
I would definately read other books by this author.

T.M. Logan does not disappoint!! 29 Seconds is one of the most suspenseful novels I’ve read in a long time! The premise was socially relevant and the storyline was expertly thought out. The attention to detail was spot on which is always my favorite part of a fantastic thriller! I love when a novel plays out like a movie in my mind and 29 Seconds did exactly that! I highly recommend this 5 star novel to anyone who (like I) enjoys getting wrapped up in a mystery/thriller that has you hooked from start to finish! Also, if you haven’t already read T.M. Logan’s debut novel, Lies, check it out as well!

Wow...this book showcases the reason the Me Too movement is in full swing...It tells the tale of an older more superior man using sexual harassment to intimidate his female counterparts...This academic man meets his match with Sarah....there is a nice back drop when a proposal is offered to make this harassment go away and all that entails...The ending is well executed and showcases the power of women when they are faced with adversity and injustice...

Thank you Netgalley for the chance to read and review.

I thought the idea was good and agreed with some of it, namely there are many situations where men in power get away with awful behavior and that if a woman fights it, she loses all the way around. The idea of revenge is great as an idea, but not a realistic option that should be entertained in the way this book suggested. I did not finish it, or even get half way, before saying enough. Reading it made me angry at the injustice and I don't need to read more of it when it's all around us.
Thanks NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest opinion.

This author had me hooked with Lies. I mean, how many twists and turns Logan gives us! I never saw it coming! Can't wait for the next one!

This suspense filled novel is great. You grow to love Sarah and understand her decisions and it makes you want to keep reading to find out where those decisions take her. You think things are going one way and then the novel twists and you are down a different road. Loved the storyline and the characters. Will definitely be searching for more of T. M. Logan's novels.

Sarah is in what the HR folks call a "quid pro quo" type of situation... Her boss is a horrible letch, who harrasses her at every turn. He threatens to withhold her much deserved promotion if she doesn't do what he wants. Her husband has just run off with another woman, leaving her with two kids, so there's no question she has to keep this job. She's stuck. Then one day, she witnesses what looks like an accident, and saves the life of a child. This was a very important little girl, and her father wants to repay Sarah. He gives her a track phone, and tells her that if she wants, she can name one person that she would like to be forever rid of. At first she balks. Who would do that? But then she thinks about her boss, and her kids, and her impossible situation. So she makes the call, and of course, things don't go quiiiiiite how she had planned.

I put this one solidly in the "utterly ridiculous but lots of fun category." The entire premise is just sort of bizarre and hard to believe. The boss is completely over the top evil, and Sarah is kind of hard to root for. The characterization is shallow across the board. BUT... there are lots of plot twists and turns, and many moments where your blood runs cold for Sarah. Like a bad horror movie, where you just want to scream, "Noooo, don't go in there! Please don't do that! Run!" Somehow, despite how goofy the story is, you're still invested. Silly, brainless fun.

I loved last year's Lies. This one doesn't quite measure up, but I enjoyed it.

While the story line was good and it was fairly suspenseful i had to give this one 3 stars because the main character drove me nuts. I felt the way her behavior was written after she "gave one name" was ridiculous and no one could plausibly behave that stupidly in this situation. The way the character was portrayed at the end was much better and had she been written in with that personality through the whole book i would have enjoyed it better. I find it hard to really like a book when i cant connect with the players and especially when the key player annoys me. Thusly the first half of the book was only mediocre and the last half would have been given 4 stars. I also found the random bits and pieces thrown in about her husband and the random contact that never actually affected or influenced the story was unnecessary and took away from the story,i mean it had no bearing other than it made the main character that much more annoying to just be so placid about a cheating husband. Its not very realistic for someone to simply be wondering when he will break up with his girlfriend and come home as a normal, go about your day conversation. Most women would not behave that way, it was very oddly written into the story.

This is the second book by this author that I read and I have enjoyed both of them! The characters are believable and the plot moves along at a great pace. I was a little worried towards the end, but the twist was great and I loved the ending! Can't wait for the next one by him!

Sarah, the protagonist, is working at a university and her boss is sexually abusive. She feels trapped there and unable to get promoted because that would mean she would have to give her boss want he wants sexually. She has two children to take care of so she can’t just quit, also if she were to quit her boss makes it clear he will make sure no one else in the field will want to hire her. Her boss is disgusting and all too real in today’s society. He has a lot of power and thrives on sexually harassing young women who work for him which made it difficult to read at times. Then one day an opportunity presents itself- Sarah is given the chance to have one person from her life disappear forever. I think the book had a nice mix of “realness” to it- touching on the topic of sexual harassment and parts that are quite a stretch but entertaining. It’s an interesting concept and was definitely an intriguing read. I liked the development of Sarah throughout- in the beginning she seems defeated and by the end she really stands up for herself and is seen as a really strong woman. Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Sarah is a thriving college professor, working under an abusive superior. Her very future is threatened when she is forced to "submit" to his whims. 29 Seconds is the story of how Sarah responds to the abuse. The book is emotional - I had trouble putting it down, and when I did, the story kept me "bothered" - a great short term stressor!

I loved the book until the end. I kind of felt like Logan "cheated" the reader with presenting what appeared to happen, then explaining what actually happened. Also, I liked the Sarah I got to know in the first part of the book, and I didn't think it was in her character to respond to the problem by choosing the option that she chose.

I was hooked from the start! Read it in a littler over a day; that's how interesting and captivating the story is. With her life crashing all around her as well as fighting a no win battle in her professional life, Sarah gives into a tempting offer to fix her problem. However, it does not go as planned and thus begins the twists and turns of Sarah figuring out how to survive it and find her way out of the situation. The ending was clever and unexpected which made it a very satisfying conclusion. Loved the book!

What a great way to get the revenge so rightly deserved. A very good read and a real pageturner from the off

If someone told you they could make a person just disappear and all you had to do was give them one name, would you? Sarah has to ask herself this very question after saving a young girl from being kidnapped, causing the girl's father to feel he is indebted to Sarah.

Sarah instantly knows whose name she would give- her boss. He's a condescending sexual predator who will only promote Sarah if she sleeps with him. But could she really control someone's fate so easily? She is raising two kids on her own while her husband is off with another woman and she really needs her job, but at what price? Could she handle the repercussions from the aftermath of giving up the name of her boss to be rid of him?

This was such a unique and thought out story that kept me on the edge of my seat. I really appreciated how the author chose to end the book in a way that highlighted how strong and brave of a woman Sarah is!

This newest book by T.M Logan was very good! I loved "Lies" and this didn't disappoint either! The characters were well developed and I was really rooting for our main character, even though I felt so sorry for her most of the time. Two kids to raise alone, separated from husband, being sexually harassed at work.... So glad he got his karma at the end! Very good book!
