I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This was an enjoyable read although I didn’t connect with the characters as much as other books in the series I enjoyed the book.

Viktoria needs a bodyguard but doesn't want one. Enter Lee MacCallister , a retired ranger. Romance blooms admist danger and suspense.

Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

After being medically discharged from the Army, Lee feels a sense of loss. Accepting a job in security may allow him to pick up the pieces of his life that shattered pieces at his feet. He never met a woman quite like Viktoria, since she was always challenging his every demand. Keeping her safe requires him to reevaluate everything he believes by keeping her safe. Great ending to the series.

Well this was a short and entertaining read!
I mean, I knew who the villain was from the moment the character was introduced, but that didn't hinder me from enjoying the shit our of this book and reading until the early hours.

I want a heathen like Lee in my life!

What turned out to be a simple assignment for a former Army Ranger turns out to be so much more. I highly recommend this book!

RANGER’S PROTECTION is the conclusion to Leslie North’s SEAL and Veteran series – and it wraps up with a powerful story, a chance to catch up with others from the series and one hot, sexy, former Army Ranger protecting one beautiful, strong and stubborn businesswoman. Sparks will fly and the banter will flow because that’s what Leslie North does best.

We’ve run into Lee in the previous stories, he’s been in the background and we’ve been aware of what is happening with his military career – but in RANGER’S PROTECTION, he gets the chance to shine. I never totally warmed up to Viktoria. I don’t really have a reason why simply the decisions she often made were reckless and put herself and others in the direct line of danger. I get being independent and proving herself to her father and the company… but in the end, it was enough that Lee found her perfect for him, and I was content with that.

This is a fast-paced Romantic Suspense with sizzling moments, danger hidden, some twists and turns along the way and an intense relationship between Lee and Viktoria. I enjoyed myself in this world and would not hesitate to recommend RANGER’S PROTECTION to any Romance or Romantic Suspense reader.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Unfortunately, this will be the last I read from this author. Viktoria was so unlikable it was a real struggle to finish. Also, I knew immediately who the "villain" was the second this person was introduced. Weak plot and no character development.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

I adored Lee. He was the perfect hero in this book. After reading the prior two brothers' stories, I knew that Lee would be just as lovable as they were. Viktoria on the other wasn't just a strong female lead, she was overbearing. I felt that she could have been more understanding with Lee's security views and still have a great story. She was just too much for me.

The plot of the story was a good one though and I did enjoy it. I especially enjoyed when the other brothers helped towards the end and finally the reappearance of their lady loves. If you love extra combative females (not just strong but over the top stubborn), you will enjoy this story. It can be a stand alone book but the other stories are ones that you will enjoy as well.

I liked that both of the main characters are strong people. They come from two different cultures but the attraction is still strong. It made me grin that Viktoria dubbed Lee,"The Heathen" when she first met him. No, she didn't call him that to his face but it was in her inner thoughts. Of course there was more than one time when she kind of acted like a snob around him too. Can't say that I liked that too much. But it really wasn't the real person that she was. It was a fake version of herself. But it will cause problems of course.

I really liked the charming thing that Viktoria's father told her long ago. He warned her that when she met her perfect match, he would be able to stand up to her without tearing her down. He would appreciate her fire and spirit. He also said she that when she met that man, she would know. He also advised her when she did, be courageous and grab hold with both hands. All really good advice that does come in handy.

There were two people that I suspected of not being on Team Viktoria and it does get confirmed in the story. But that doesn't mean that there isn't a twisted surprise included. Because I didn't see that one coming. It all made the story even better.
I also appreciated the Epilogue because that is almost a must for me. When possible, I want to see one.

3.75 stars-- RANGER’S PROTECTION is the third instalment in Leslie North’s contemporary, adult SEAL AND VETERAN SERIES erotic, military romantic suspense series focusing on three brothers: Chance, Harris and Lee MacCallister. This is twenty-eight year olds, former Army Ranger sniper, and security specialist Lee MacCallister, and Icelander business woman and heiress Viktoria Jonsdottir’s story line. RANGER’S PROTECTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Viktoria and Lee) RANGER’S PROTECTION follows the building relationship between twenty-eight year olds, former Army Ranger sniper, and security specialist Lee MacCallister, and Icelander business woman and heiress Viktoria Jonsdottir. Due to a catastrophic injury while on assignment over seas, Lee MacCallister was forced to retire twenty years sooner than he had anticipated. Currently working for Elite Security Services, Lee would find himself playing babysitter and bodyguard to Icelandic heiress Viktoria Jonsdottir, a woman with a target on her back, and a price on her head. As Viktoria crosses America to promote her new business Lee and his team face many obstacles including several attempts against Viktoria’s life. What ensues is the quick building, sexual relationship between Lee and Viktoria, and the fall-out as Viktoria’s need for independence places everyone in the direct line of fire.

Viktoria Jonsdottir wants nothing to do with Lee MacCallister and his team of security specialists. Throughout the story, our heroine is constantly trying to control the situation, by placing herself in dangerous situations, situations that will place everyone including Lee, in harm’s way. TSTL (too stupid to live) Viktoria rejects and ignores all warnings and recommendations from Lee and his team, resulting in devastation and debacle for everyone concerned.

The relationship between Lee and Viktoria begins as an assignment that quickly grows into something more. As Lee struggles with his attraction to Viktoria, Viktoria continues to push the man with whom she will fall in love. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Lee’s team at Elite Security including boss man Sebastian ‘Boom’ McKinney; security guards Jeff and Mike; Viktoria’s assistant Aleta , and childhood friend Katrin, as well as the return of Lee’s brothers –Chance and Harris MacCallister.

RANGER’S PROTECTION is a story of betrayal, vengeance, greed and power. The premise is intriguing; the characters are colorful and energetic; the romance is seductive and hot.

Another enjoyable read - following a series of characters, as the 3 brothers in this series - makes the connections fun to follow. I love the interactions among the brothers and their loves.

Leslie North is a hit or miss author for me. I have read several different books in her book series only to find out that some of the books follow the same basic pattern while others might follow the pattern the characters, action or story line come alive.

Rangers Protection is another one of those I can't put in a miss or a hit. The characters were likable but Viktoria does the one things female characters all do in this type of bodyguard story. They push away the person who is suppose to protect them and refuse to listen. Yes it can make for great drama but this time is felt forced taking away what made the female lead likable. The action packed ending is worth the read.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of Leslie North Ranger's Protection.

Another great read from Leslie North. This author consistently gives good quick reads where the characters are intriguing. This wasn’t my favourite in this series but it’s really good.

Book 3 in the SEAL & Veteran Series, Ranger’s Protection is definitely a worthy addition to this great series. Lee & Viktoria are well suited and the chemistry between them is obvious early on. I loved this story and the characters and would highly recommend you pick up this book and series. I will be reading more by this author

RANGER'S PROTECTION (Seal & Veteran Series #3) By Leslie North
This is a very entertaining, page turner of a read! Lee MacCallister and Viktoria Jonsdottir meet when her father hires him to be her bodyguard to protect her. He is the 3rd MacCallister brother. She is the daughter of a man whose company in Iceland is the leading manufacturer of wool products. Lee goes into it thinking it will be an easy enjoyable job, but things soon get very complicated for them. I did very much enjoy this story. I give it 5 stars.

I was waiting for the jump to happen the entire book! Lee and Viktoria didn’t disappoint! Lee’s intuition was spot on. And Viktoria was independent to a fault almost. Sexy times and suspense were the orders of the day with this story!

SEAL & Veterans ahs definitely been one of my favourite series by Leslie North, and this third and finally book is no exception. Ranger’s Protection has danger, intrigue, deception and a whole bucket full of sexual tension and angst. A great storyline and a really good plot, ensure that the reader is kept glued to their seat till the last page is turned.

Viktoria Jonsdottir is essentially portrayed as a high-maintenance, spoilt socialite, but there’s definitely a softer side, which she tries to keep well hidden. Lee McCallister is the youngest of the three brothers and his need to shelter and protect is all consuming. But do opposites really attract? Well you’ll have to read this wonderful story to find that out for yourself. For those who may not have read the first two books, you really are missing out, so get cracking on catching up, as the McCallister brothers are worth every minute of your time!
