Sadly, I found Spitfire in Love to be boring and it wasn't my cup of tea.

This book really fell flat with the main characters being seemingly repetitive in their conversations and their mistakes. I wish we had seen more growth in them throughout the story.

Just my kind of book. The romance sizzles and really shake to the core. The characters are relatable and you can really relate to their stories. I'd like to find another book similar to this, this deserves to have a sequel because I just don't want it to end.

Oh man this story was amazing. I laughed, cried and swooned. Isabelle Ronin is a new author to me but I need more. Can was the best even when I hated him and Kara was incredible. I really felt all her emotions. Please let there be a book two. This isn't a cliffhanger but it could definitely continue. Absolutely loved.

I don’t read many Wattpad authors. Really, Anna Todd is the only one I’ve read from Wattpad. But, the premise of Ronin’s novel sounded yummy so I dived into her book. My thoughts? She’s definitely a talented author and I’m glad I had the pleasure of reading this one.

I loved the development of her characters and fell instantly in love with Cameron. Kara’s character was well developed as well but she just didn’t instantly pull me like Cameron. The interactions between Cam and Kara were awesome, though, and I felt every bit of the slow burning, intense, passionate desires between them. Seeing Cam overcome his past and work to show his Spitfire how much he needed her, was awesome in my book!

This is definitely a 4 star worthy novel. I am really looking forward to going back and reading more of Ronin’s work! If you are looking for a gripping, slow burning passionate romance read, grab this one up. You’ll be up into the wee hours of the morning, turning page after page of this rollercoaster ride!

Another book that wasn't for me. Too young, too immature and too much drama. I almost stopped reading it. but made myself finish.

I used to read Isabelle Ronin’s books on Wattpad some years ago and it had been a while since I read “Chasing Red” so it was interesting to read by the same author but following different characters this time.

Anddddd the verdict is that I enjoyed reading the book and following the drama that occurred between the characters as Ronin’s plot has always been very addictive and filled with drama and obviously romance ;)

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I thought this romance was intense and full of delicious sexual tension. Kara is a college student determined to provide for her broken family. She feels this intense connection to Cameron when they meet which both excites and makes her afraid. The best part of this novel is that the author writes in dual perspectives so we have the opportunity to understand Cameron's troubled past and feel the depth of his need for Kara.
While there were moments were I felt the angst went on for too long, when they finally come together the moments are sweet and emotionally charged. Cameron does sweet little acts of kindness to lighten her load and you couldn't help but love him. Enjoyed it!

Didn't really like this book it was hard to get into. The characters were not developed. I found myself not caring what happened. It was starting to pick up and then it ended to fast.

I abandoned this train wreck of a book after the dreaded bathroom scene, where the h fartedin a bathroom while the H was about to fuck a girl in that same bathroom. When she exits, the H is there and he says the following:

“Your wind was so strong it blew me away.”

Like WTF??? This was not what I signed up for at all.

I just couldn't.

I was 50/50 on this. I really enjoyed some parts and other just didn’t strike a cord with me. At the end of the day is was a Rom-Com that had me laughing quote a bit. If you have read the authors other works you will enjoy this.

The characters were a little one dimensional for me and missed the mark on being reliable, but in the end I did finish the book and enjoy the love story portion of it.

I won’t rate further because even though this didn’t strike with me, it may with you.

I'm disappointed.
Having met Cam and Kara in Chasing Red and having been so curious about what happened between them, and well.... I thought I'd get answer in this book but nope! Although these two were introduced in Chasing Red, you don't have to have read the previous books, but I think that's what attracted me to Spitfire.

The characters were a little one dimensional for me but in the end I did finish the book and enjoy the love story portion of it.

I'm not a fan of books that rely on the big misunderstanding between the couple. Unfortunately, about 75% of Spitfire in Love is devoted to the characters talking past each other, again and again. The ending, when they finally do communicate, is rushed. Not a fan of this one.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

The story started out slow, and although I'm all for the "miscommunication trope" I felt it was a bit dragged on and quite repetitive to the point of tiring. Had I've been younger, I would've enjoyed this more... I think.

The last quarter of the book was better however, I found the ending quite a bit rushed that left me a little underwhelmed.

Overall, it didn't work out for me. But if you are in for an angsty YA, this must be it for you. After all, it did received a lot of praise on wattpad where it was first published. So I guess I'm just a minority here.

I received an ARC so I assumed it wasn't polished well yet because it sure need some editing.

The primary couple in Spitfire in Love were introduced in Isabelle Ronin's Chasing Red series. You don't have to have read the previous books, but I think that's what attracted me to Spitfire. The story itself is entertaining. The characters are engaging. I felt something was uneven in the flow and pacing of the book. It's a large book and it seemed to meander a bit. I wished it had been tightened up a bit, and though I appreciated the banter, the dialogue became a bit repetitious at times. I appreciated that Ms Ronin provided a story for two engaging characters though.

Hmmm I’m not really sure how to rate this book. It had an alright storyline. Although there were parts I did not like. The ending was my favorite part. The writing was also just ok. I think I that with a little polishing this book would be a better fit. It’s a 3 star read for me

Kara’s best friend was Zala. Zala had immigrated to Canada years ago but had grown up in the Philippines. Kara is lactose intolerant but had eaten some cheesy lasagna- she was also a vegetarian. Kara had met tal their freshman year of college in accounting class. Kara had no idea what she wanted to do with her life. So far her life had been as exciting as a rock on a deserted island. Kara hadn’t even had a boyfriend yet at twenty one years old. Than she saw him . His face belonged to an dark archangel. She already knew he was the biggest mistake of her life. Cameron had been living at his place for a couple of years. He found his bike had been hit by a hit and run driver and than a car went speeding past him and he moved and tipped his bike over and the mirror broke. Than a young woman got out of the car and she looked furious and Cameron immediately nicknamed her Spitfire. She had the wrong house buu was told what one to go to. She wasn’t Cameron’s type so why was he so completely unquestionably fascinated with her? She commanded his attention like no one before. Her gaze briefly met his and his body jolted. Cameron knew he would always remember this moment. Her presence was to powerful to forget. Cameron knew how cruel and ugly people could be behind their masks they showed the world. He also knew how to like them when he needed to. While in the pool cameron thought of the young woman. She was fearless and reckless. Was it really a surprise that he was drawn to her? Most of the people in his life bottled everything up, until their resentments and disappointments started to spill over, poisoning everything around them. He knew a part of him turned out to be exactly like it. And he despised it, and himself. Kara had been bullied physically and mentally for her looks, her height, the fact her family was poor, and her mother running off with another man and it had made her insecure. Kara wished to be someone else, made her believe if she was beautiful, maybe than the world would be easier on her. She knew better now, it made her wary if everyone, made her learn how to fight , made her defensive and combative. She had to use a bathroom after her lactose intolerance kicked ibn and had to go to the third floor where people went to have sex. But the bathroom on the main floor was way too busy. When she was in the bathroom stall she heard a couple than she loudly passed gas and they realized someone was in the bathroom got dressed and left. When she came out of the bathroom he was there and asked her name and she told him and asked for her number and she gave it to him. As he walked by her their hands brushed together and she felt his body heat, smelled his masculine scent. Than he was gone. Her brother called and told he he had hit a motorcycle than left. She went that evening to try to see the damage and it turned out to be Cameron’s bike and he caught her in his yard and realized who it was. Kara told cameron her brother hit his bike and their shop would fix it and gave him a business card Caleb was Cameron's friend . Cameron had been working for Rick and than Caleb started working for Rick. Rick let the two guys purge out their anger by giving them sledge hammers to break walls, and destroy fireplaces, and rip sheetrock. Eventually they were promoted to framing, replacing shingles on roofs, painting and everything else in Rick’s business. Cameron had had taken to it naturally . At first he wanted to focus on something besides his miserable life. Eventually he looked forward to it. Kara had never felt or experimented before. Never been that close to anyone or wanted to be. Cameron felt like Kara was driving him crazy. Kara was honest with herself she liked cameron but didn’t want to.
I really enjoyed this book and read it in one setting, giving up some sleep but it was worth it. The only thing I would have liked was the ending seem to come out of nowhere and felt rushed to me. It was like the story was going along and than it was just over. I liked the ending but wasn’t satisfied I wanted more. What about Cameron’s mom she had seen Kara when she went looking for him and his mother was parked two doors down and he had been worried about his mom knowing about Kara? I loved the plot and the pace. I loved how close Kara was to her family and how her father loved his children. I loved how Kara would do about anything for her family. I loved that Cameron at least had Rick and Caleb in his life. I felt bad when Cameron went away and hurt Kara. I wish I could give this a 4.5 rating as I loved almost everything about this book. I loved the nickname Bigfoot Kara gave to Cameron. Know the ending wasn’t bad just left me wanting more. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it.

Spitfire in Love by Isabelle Ronin is the story of Cameron St. Laurent and Kara Hawthorne.
Cam and Kara have a instant hot connection but Cam isn't sure what his feelings are. This had some funny parts and one part I could have done with out but overall this was a good read with its build to their story.

I'll be honest I have been a fan of Isabelle's since I discovered her on Wattpad with Chasing Red. Ever since I found out that the other couple in Chasing Red was getting their own book, I couldn't wait to read it. Then the unedited version was released on Wattpad. So naturally I read it there, and now that it is finally getting published I couldn't help but want to read this version. Luckily I got a copy through Netgalley! Thank you Netgalley, Sourcebooks and Isabelle for gifting me with ARC.

In Spitfire In Love you get to meet Kara, who is by far my favorite character from this series. She's loud and brash and unapologetic about who she is. She's also a fighter and down tear down anyone who wants to hurt her family. But like every human, she also has a tender spot on her soul. It it just came in the form of Cameron. This scene where they actually meet had me rolling for hours! I am so glad it was not cut out from the original in Chasing Red. I love comedy in romance! Meeting Cameron has thrown her for a loop, she doesn't know how to act or really feel.

Cameron is the proverbial playboy. And like some playboy he is a fighter, he is a good egg despite his family. I hated the way that his family did him and it sucked because I he is such a great guy but very angry. He has every right to be angry, but when he meets Kara, she shows him another side of himself, that he didn't realize he had. But like any other couple, there are obstacles and how they deal with these is the reason why you need to pick up this book and read it!

It is addictive once you get started. I am so glad to hear the sequel is also getting published!
