Wolf Instinct is the 9th installment in the SWAT series featuring Zane and Alyssa. Much like the other titles the theme of the book is paranormal romantic suspense. Zane is a wolf shifter and she is on the opposite side, being a monster hunter. I'm giving Wolf Instinct a 3.5-4 stars rating.

When the questions continue to pile up Alyssa and Zane seek answers and slowly become closer to one another. Another great installment in the series.

Well that was a bit of a twists that I didn’t see coming and I really don’t think the wolves did either. Tyler has taken readers on an amazing journey as her SWAT wolves have fallen in love and found their One again and again, and it has only gotten more and more interesting as we’ve developed. Each of the couples has brought their own unique spin to the story and we definitely never get bored watching them chase after each other and fall in love, but there were some new challenged in this story and an all new cast of supernatural characters that expanded the horizons of one and all. Zane has traveled with some of his teammate to LA on the trail of their murderous chief after his ultimate betrayal in the end of the previous novel. Close to giving up their search, Zane encounters a woman that rocks his world and makes his inner wolf howl, but soon they are both dragged into a much bigger investigation that either of them ever imagined. Alyssa has spent the last several years chasing down the things that go bump in the night and when she encounters Zane and his pack-mates she knows immediately that they are most than just the humans they are pretending to be. She is willing to work with them, but she doesn’t trust them right off the bat, however it doesn’t take long before they are both fighting an attraction that is undeniable. Once they both give in to their needs, Alyssa and Zane come to realize their passion is not simply hormones and lust, but something much bigger and that connection becomes the only thing that can save them from their new deadly enemy. I LOVED new direction this story took, brining in an all new cast of characters and leading us into a whole new world of danger and intrigue. I am looking forward to seeing more of that storyline for sure. Zane was a sexy as hell British wolf, with a sense of humor under it all, and sweet protectiveness that made those he loved and cared for feel ultimately safe and loved beyond measure. He was always a kickass and deadly foe to his enemies and I loved when he teamed up wit his pack and friends in order to bring an end to threat facing LA. Alyssa was an odd character in the beginning, but in end I came to like her a lot, especially as she fell in love with Zane and showed how accepting she was of her male, and of course her courage and determination to protect those she deems innocent made her a true hero. I am dying for the next in this series and cannot wait for the next in this newly reimagined and reinvigorated series. Paige has definitely struck gold again and this series is going to be one of my favorites for a long time to come I have no doubt.

This is a fast paced, paranormal, romantic suspense. Zane and Alyssa are both strong characters who fight to save the innocent. there paths cross while they are fighting to bring down the same group for different reasons. The chemistry between them is undeniable.

This is the ninth book in this series and finally we get Zane's story We have always known him as the too cool British Wolf Shifter and got to know a little more about him when he was injured but now we get his full story and what a story it is.

Enjoyable and entertaining, Wolf Instinct answered a few questions in this series while opening quite of few new plot avenues and possibilities.

It is going to be interesting to see where she takes this series in the future now that we have a bigger supernatural world and we have closed the mystery of who is behind the hunters. I can't wait.

I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.

Whoa! What is this I see? A new werewolf enemy and what looks to be a new supernatural taskforce. Spin-off opportunity? I think, yes.

To say that I haven't been anticipating the sexy, British alpha werewolf's story would be a blatant lie. From the very first moment Zane made it into the page, I've been wondering when his story was coming and who will be the worthy woman to be THE ONE for him. Especially after the whole ordeal the poor guy has gone through. If someone deserves a HEA, it is definitely Zane.

This time around we find Zane and two of his pack mates (Rachel and Diego) in Los Angeles, tracking enemy numero uno which hopefully would lead to the hunters that fled the SWAT compound in the previous installment.

As with every book in the series, we get a first look at the traumatic event that brought about the change in Zane. This time around we get a little bit more of the repercussions of that transition and how those events have affected how Zane has perceived himself ever since then. *sigh* Zane, Zane, Zane. I just wanted to cuddle him up and shake sense into him at the same time. Poor guy was a mess--a brooding, British mess, but a mess nonetheless.

Having Zane paired up with Alyssa was the icing on the messy cake. Alyssa has her own traumatic past, but unlike Zane she didn't turn into a werwolf--she became an FBI agent. She is smart, agile and quickly went up the ranks in the agency until she was recruited to the Special Threat Assessment Team. Trying to solve the cases that were inexplicable, Alyssa came to realize that there were otherworldly things in the world. She doesn't think much of these supernatural beings, so obviously being mated to one isn't going to go smoothly. Which of course, didn't help Zane's perception of himself any.

Zane and Alyssa try to fight their attraction to one another, but it is futile. The more time they spend together while assisting one another (and being cagey as hell as to their mission's details), Alyssa and Zane's connection starts to develop and their unmistakable chemistry becomes increasingly hard to ignore. But stubborn individuals that they are, they try to fight it again and again. Ahhh but come together they do. All those heated books, shivers and overwhelming needs came together and exploded in their faces in one hell of an encounter. But who has time for romance when there are 2 missions to complete? Thankfully, these two get their act together and accept their fate. But what they find along the way definitely changes their perception of world and their lives.

In this installment, Paige Tyler brought plenty of twists and turns and an even greater threat. We get some more world building, a little insight into one of the newest member of the pack and we also get to learn more about the Special Threat Assessment Team and the work they do to fight these supernatural beings that live among us humans. Overall, an awesome addition to the series that keeps getting better as the world expands and the threats become greater to the SWAT pack

I have to say, I am definitely intrigued by what's to come in this series and of what the author plans to do with the Special Threat Assessment Team. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Loved it! Can I have more please? It was nice getting back into reading about shifter wolves working blue collar jobs again.

These thoughts are my own I do not get paid for this review.

9th book from the SWAT series and up until this point werewolves were the only paranormal element. Like the other books in the series, this was a fast and easy read with typical plot points.

Amazing paranormal shifter story with just enough heat and smoke to warm me through the pages. Twists, turns, action and romance all in one. Can a bookworm ask for more?

Oh, Zane you beautiful British wolf, I am so glad you found Alyssa. I enjoyed their story so much I finished
it in one night. I love the chemistry between Zane and Alyssa, especially when they are trying to get information from the other person. They are adorable. I absolutely love this series and couldn’t be happier with this addition to it. I found the addition of vampires to the SWAT world an interesting twist, and if I’m not mistaken, I believe I see a spin off series coming. I really look forward to that.

I really love this SWAT series by Paige Tyler. This book has gone further into this world than the other ones and it took me a minute to get into it. But once I did I really liked it and it does set you up really nicely for the next one. The couple are believable. I look forward to the next one.
I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via Net Galley and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. I also purchased a copy for my own personal library.

Paige Tyler does it again with another intense, intriguing, fun and sexy story, and as always Tyler manages to keep the story in the forefront, and still give us a beautiful sexy romance. Wolf Instinct is another fabulous addition to this series. If you have not started this series, I suggest you do so, as it is a fun, exciting and sexy read and Paige Tyler is an author you need to be reading.

This review is not going to be long. I am not a huge fan of a review rehashing the entire plot and spoiling it for everyone.

This is the first book by Paige Tyler that I have read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Her style of writing. keeps you interested and waiting for more. I cannot wait to read more of her books.

I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.

SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team #9, wow, book nine already. Out earlier this summer if you haven't the chance yet I highly recommend this series. Throughout the book the SWAT has discovered they not alone, between the Omegas and the Betas but now they discover so much more, the shifters aren't the only paranormal out there. There is a continuing story arc but each of the book is a stand alone you can read it just by itself but really these books are quick and easy to read and so good it worth reading all of them.

The sexy former SAS Brit, Zane, and some of the others go to L.A. to track down the one who betrayed the pack. Zane is slowly recovering from the poisoned bullet that nearly cost him his arm, he's not sure he'll ever get back to full strength but that's not going to stop him from catching the SOB who was behind the attack in the last book. FBI Special Agent Alyssa Carson is part of a unit that technically doesn't exist. She's in L.A. following a lead on a missing persons and the connection to an exsanguinated body. Alyssa has seen some weird stuff but she is in no way prepared for meeting Zane, the hunters and all the other weird stuff L.A. has in store for them.

Overall, it's an exciting read. Excellent action, sweet and hot romance, wonderfully developed characters with the right amount of angst and witty banter.

I enjoyed parts of this book until i suddenly didnt. I had trouble connecting with the characters and the overall story felt tired. I have enjoyed the previous books immensely but found the last couple lackluster. Has the sparkle gone from this series? Speaking of sparkles whose idea were the vampires?

I enjoyed the story and the sexy British werewolf! Zane is so dreamy! I liked Alyssa okay but I didn't feel any chemistry between her and Zane. I was more interested in the rest of the story than their romance.

This book has some surprises that totally rocked the storyline and the series! I can't mention them because I don't want to spoil anything but there are some new developments ahead and a spin-off series the author is writing so WOLF INSTINCT is a must read!

Loved this book. No, I mean I really loved this book. Plus it opened up so many possibilities for books in the future!
I've read every one of these books and haven't been disappointed yet. Wolf Instinct head the Hero dealing with some complex self image problems. The heroine could have been against him the whole way, but wasn't....

Alyssa, an agent for a secret FBI unit, is working to find girls that go missing from dance clubs. While looking for the man that attacked him and his pack, Zane sees a girl a club being given a drink that has been drugged. When Zane and Alyssa meet and start to work together, Zane realizes Alyssa is 'The One' for him. They must, however, first finish their respective assignments while getting the Alpha Swat team involved in the missing girls. Through all of the twists in solving the case, Zane and Alyssa's story was a story worth waiting for as Paige Tyler gives readers another hot and sexy romantic paranormal story of a Dallas Swat Team member. *I received a copy of "Wolf Instinct" from Sourcebooks, and voluntarily give my honest opinion." 5 Stars!

❤️❤️❤️ out of 5
This book was ok. It was exactly what I thought it would be for a paranormal romance about a SWAT team who are werewolves, but I wanted something more. I wanted to be excited and for it to offer something new and exciting but mostly I just felt meh about it 🤷🏻‍♀️.
.
Our hero is a werewolf and also a member of a SWAT team full of werewolves. While hunting down someone he comes across our heroine- a kickass FBI agent who is totally kicking ass. There is a connection between the 2 straight away and because their cases overlap they end up working together. One thing of course leads to another and they end up more than working together.
.
This book is part of a series and this book definitely references events from previous books and having not read all of them I could still keep up. The hero has past trauma that although delved into I feel like it could have been more? The heroine was ok but again for an ass kicker I wanted more. So overall an ok book but nothing to write home about.

After writing these entertaining werewolf SWAT team books for so long, Tyler has now expanded the playing field by bringing in a new enemy. Not only do the wolves have the Hunters, but now there are vampires. And not sexy vampires-these are cold and evil and smell like rot. There is also an entire government agency dedicated to paranormal activity.

I’m thrilled with this expansion, not that the books were getting stale, because they weren’t. I think that it provides fantastic possibilities.

The romance was fun. Of course, they are mates, so there is instant attraction. The two are one of the more charming couples that Tyler has created.
