Very easy read! The book is interesting. Plot makes You enjoy the story and the fact that it is paranormal "ghostly" read makes me say only this: read it and you wont regret it!

Princess Fuzzypants here: Paige is a woman grounded in reality. The editor of a local newspaper, she has accepted her fate and has settled for what life has presented her. When her niece, Jillian, a paranormal blogger, comes to town to investigate the haunting of a local inn, Paige is sceptical at best. She finds what her niece writes upsetting but she believes it is not something supernatural at work. Whether it is ghostly or not, there is something stalking Jillian and it is dangerous.
In trying to investigate Paige learns the hard way that whatever else might be at work, there is something decidedly corporeal in play too. Who that might be and why is a question that she seeks to answer before something serious befalls Jillian. As a reader, the elements are there for an exciting story but for some reason, I just did not feel connected to the characters. What makes or breaks a story is the degree to which I become embroiled in the lives of the characters. I just did not feel the “pull” I get with some other books. There was nothing specific that prevented it so I will chalk it up to personal preference.
I will give it three and a half purrs and one paw up.

This is a delightfully gentle story. It follows Paige and Jillian while Jillian is visiting her aunt Paige. Jillian seeks/communicates with Spirits and Paige, her aunt doesn't believe. The ending was most perfect. #SpiritedQuest #NetGalley

To be honest, I was more interested in the way this story was structured than in the actual story itself. Turning the expectations around, and making the narrator what is typically the secondary character was a brilliant move. Especially since the part of the divorced 50- something aunt of the beautiful, young, fairy-princess looking 20-something is something normally thrown away as a comedic or expository character. She was in fact more layered and interesting than the niece. As much as I hate to use the term “Mary-Sue”, there was something just a bit too much with Jillian. I felt too disconnected from the action surrounding her, plus he perfect soul-mate being a guy her aunt would have been into if only sh didn’t feel too old was a bit much for me.

I would have much rather spent more time just hanging out with Paige.
2.5, but I’ll up it to three because Paige is someone that I’d like in my life
