The book was okay. The twists were pretty obvious very early on, which took away the thriller/surprise element for me. Some parts were told so quickly rather than gradually revealed, which made it hard for me to believe Ella's feelings. But overall it's interesting enough.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, which focusses on the secrets of a house, as much as the people. What happened there? It was a cleverly structured story that kept me intrigued right to the end. Great characters and an intricate plot. Loved it!

A psychological novel with a piece of past secrets and revenge - something that would for sure be my idea of a great evening!
This one was a great read full of developed characters and intriguing turns. I was not expecting the end until some pages before it.
This book was told from 3 perspectives - Ella's, Alice's and dairy from the past written by Nancy. This story has a powerful message that I found disturbing even in homes that we consider "good and proper" bad Things can happen.
This book had all the emotions that were keeping me on the edge - uncertainty, shocking new information, twist and turns in action or characters thinking.
I will grab another book by Ms. Sanderson for sure.

What if everything you ever believed in was just a dream?
Enter 46 Heath Street, a beautiful house overlooking London's gorgeous Hampstead Heath. But when Ella takes in a lodger after she and her husband seperate, things go down hill rapidly. So much dark history, so many hidden agenda's.

This is a fast paced psychological thriller. I was pulled in from the start and couldn't put it down.
The couple are cry babies, but the supporting characters are true gems. They held my attention to the very end.
Excellent writing. An exciting read.

Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC.

The Woman at 46 Heath Street was a solid 3.75-4 stars throughout. The beginning of the book drew me in instantly and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. Ella was a sympathetic character for the most part, although I did find myself wanting to give her a good shake at times, come on woman! This was a good little suspense novel, coming in at just 262 pages. I enjoyed the last chapter but would have liked just a little bit more...

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for my advanced copy of, The Woman at 46 Heath Street, in exchange for my honest review.

What a great book! Lots of twists and turns and even though I figured these out early on the story was so entertaining. The characters are very realistic and I couldn't put it down till I finished reading the ending. Lesley is a very talented writer and I can't wait to read another book by her.
Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to read this incredible book.

The Woman at 46 Heath Street by Lesley Sanderson
Genre: Suspense, Psychological Thriller
BUG Rating: 4/5

Overall: A slowish start - but you will see, the build up, the finer details, are all incredibly important, and worth it. This book is amazing. The plot focuses around the lovely little house at 46 Heath Street and the women that live/have lived in it. I was surprised by this book, very surprised, and in a good way. Lesley’s writing was exciting and captivating. I was hungry for more. I loved what this book was really all about, for me, it’s about love, a man’s obsession to keep his wife all to himself, it’s about domestic abuse, both mental and physical, and it’s about secrets … dark secrets that take place behind closed doors. If you want an utterly gripping, haunting and riveting read, you will not be disappointed, this book is for you!

A suspense novel bent on revenge? Sign me up, take my money, leave me gasping for breath and dialing 9-1-1. A little dramatic? Perhaps. But I found this to be a compelling read that I just couldn't put down. Despite the fact that I knew exactly what all the reveals were going to be as the momentum built.

Ella may have been a tad more impressionable than I usually accept in my protagonists, but I decided to go down the rabbit hole with her. She was a woman who had just discovered that her idiot husband started an affair after she had taken care of his dying mother. I mean, that's just really nasty!

But the vengeance vein seemed to fizzle out by the end and I was a bit disappointed that the book didn't live up to its promises.

Overall I really enjoyed The Woman at 46 Heath Street, it's pretty easy to work out the twist but I believe the way Lesley orchestrated was wonderful.
One of those books you can waste an entire day with. 4/5

The Woman at 46 Heath Street was compelling. I had to know the answers to all my questions. Who is the other woman? What is Alice’s motives? Why is Ella’s husband so desperate for money? Wtf is going on?! I read this in a day. It’s a great choice for a quick read when you want a little drama and mystery. While it’s not the most profound book around and at times felt redundant, it is an overall entertaining piece of chick-lit.

I read the synopsis of The Woman at 46 Heath Street and knew I had to try this one. I've never read anything by this author previous to this book. I was intrigued from the start. I found Ella to be a sympathetic, albeit naive, character. Imagine getting a letter informing you that your husband is cheating! Seriously? I don't blame her for not wanting to leave. Ella is relatable in this aspect and just a woman in a terrible situation not of her choosing. I despise the husband, so I won't go there. Alice is a clever intuitive character. Ella moves her in with good intentions, but does Alice share the goodwill? It's a suspenseful kind of creepy story, and it kept my interest. I found it engaging and entertaining throughout. I will read more from the author. I recommend for anyone who likes a good psychological thriller. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Net Galley and Bookouture for an early copy of this book. Started out like WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I then figured the twist very early in the book and it became drawn out. Characters were likable but there was something missing and I wanted it to end quickly.

What a brilliant book, loved it from the beginning to the great ending. I enjoyed how this author writes, great characters with plenty of twists and turns and I found it very hard to put my kindle down.

I particularly enjoyed reading the letters although at the beginning I wondered where they were going but all becomes clear as your read more. I found they built up the tension and they bring this psychological thriller to a satisfactory conclusion.

I did read Lesley's first book, The Orchid Girls but I enjoyed this one much more and I look forward to reading number three, well done Lesley.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture forgiving me the opportunity to read this fantastic book.

The action starts right away in this book as Ella discovers her husband, Chris, is having an affair, and he wants Ella out of the house. Having grown up in the foster system, Ella wants to remain in the only house that's ever felt like home. She takes in an acquaintance/practically a stranger, as a roommate, in an effort to stay in the house longer. The roommate turns out to have an agenda of her own.
As we follow Ella, struggling through this upheaval to her life, we uncover secrets about Chris, his family and what happened long ago inside that house.
Ella was a bit clueless and aloof, which at times was frustrating but the story and abundant clues kept me interested, kept me reading to see how everything would unfold.

The Woman at 46 Heath Street is a fast-paced domestic thriller that I tore through in about a day and a half.

Ella and her husband Chris live in the large, beautiful home where he grew up in Hampstead Heath. One day after Ella receives an note that says “YOUR HUSBAND IS HAVING AN AFFAIR,” Chris promptly leaves her and gives her six weeks to vacate the home she has grown to love so much, but Ella has no intention of moving. Instead, she asks her friend Alice to move in as a lodger to keep her company and help keep her afloat. But Alice has her own motivations for wanting to live at 46 Heath Street.

I figured it all out early on, but it was still a very enjoyable, entertaining read. I would recommend to anyone who enjoyed The Breakdown or The Wife Between Us.

WOW! Just loved this book, a definite page turner. I loved the character of Nancy even though she only appears in flashback which to me is a sign of good writing by the author. Yes, you do guess some of the mystery surrounding the characters and the house's history but that doesn't detract from an excellent read.

An excellent novel, with elements of drama and suspense thrown in together. I felt truly connected to the main characters. Will be happy to read more books by this talented author.
